Good morning all from sunny Essex.
The journey home was good and we were back and settled in for Bargain Hunt (DH’s daily watch) and the tennis.

I spoke to two of my cousins yesterday - first time in a couple of years. We all said we must have a get together. One of them still working as an auxiliary in the hospital at 78 yrs of age. Been there for 40 years and still loves it.

Today little pooch is being groomed and we will meet our Friday pals for lunch.
DS1 is popping in this evening for a catch-up.

Dd is improving slowly and I am stepping back hoping she’ll push her way through.🙏.

GG have a great evening
Ash enjoy your time with the family.
Marydoll hope Dolly feels better soon
Enjoy your art day Mizuna sounds like fun. 🧑‍🎨🧑‍🎨.

Looking forward to the 4th set of the Murray match. So exciting. I hope he’s fit enough!

Enjoy the day 🌸

Good morning from West Sussex where the temperature is climbing rapidly. I need to get going before it’s too hot to do anything. Priority today is weeding and watering at the allotment before abandoning it for the next three weeks as we are heading to our flat in East Lothian. Fortunately we cut down to a half plot where we have mainly fruit bushes and trees.

Mick, I hope you have a successful outing and enjoy a restful afternoon with Le Tour.
Good to hear from mumofmadboys - enjoy your walking!

Poor Dollie - I hope her ear infection clears quickly.

Thinking of those with illness and other challenges.

Good morning from a bright sunny Oxfordshire.
Spent a lot of time gardening yesterday. Lots of kneeling, fortunately MrOops wandered out as I was attempting to stand up, but my knees were too wobbly he had to pull me up and take me to the bench to recover!! I recovered enough to mow the lawn, it looks tidier but lots more to do. Not today though as the hairdresser will be here soon.
So an easy day today.
Hope everyone manages to get some sunshine today.
Hugs for those who have worries and stress

Good morning all from a sunny Suffolk.

DH and I had a really lovely day yesterday at the Hampton Court flower show….a long one leaving home at 6am and getting back at 11pm. It is several years since we last went and the traffic around there has increased hugely.

The floral marquee was a stunning as ever and unlike Chelsea, plants are available to buy every day. We bought just a beautiful dark purple dahlia but resisted anything else. It was gratifying to see that, although we are not really gardeners,we have been ahead for years of the latest trends…..lots of wild flowers, cottage garden plants and rewilding everywhere.

There were many more people there than we remembered but that could be our memories or just that we are older! But there were loads of seats everywhere, many under trees and a very talented group of 10 young musicians and singers entertaining from the bandstand.

A quiet day today I think. I hope those worrying about family health problems get reassurances and all have a sunny day.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

Off on the bus this morning with my friend to Bewdley. We decided on this date before I went on holiday, thinking that if it rains we will change our plans. Looks like a sunny day ahead.

Good walk yesterday with my Thursday group.

Wishing you all a lovely day

Already warm and sunny so the forecast return of high temperatures is on the cards. A certain amount of laundry and tidying this morning, a visit to the face therapist at lunch time and the arrival of DGD1 later to look forward to, so a useful day. Need to tackle cleaning the inside of the windows but think it will be too hot - we’ll see.

Hope all the invalids, including * Dollie*, feel a bit better and that the day unfolds happily.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey breezy Carlisle. Fed up with this constant wind!

Visiting the garden centre yesterday morning, I picked up one or two bits and bobs, not plants though...That's a miracle.
It went downhill after that as my kidney infection started to bounce back accompanied by an unpleasant attack of indigestion. Little got done. Don't know whether to try riding it out or contact the doc again.

Today, I shall potter through a few little jobs and otherwise take it easy. Frustrated!

Have the best possible day everyone.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

Yesterday I received some sad news. A friend has passed away and a family member, a young mother of 2, has been diagnosed with cancer.

MrB is taking me away for my birthday so I must stir myself and get ready.

Good Morning from a sunny S Yorks

Yesterday was tough as I got to the gym, changed...then my back went badly and had to dose up and come home. But later, my huge unused treadmill (I cant lift the walking bit up anymore) was collected by two large blokes for use at a youth community gym so it went to a good home. Result - spacious kitchen again. got a bit of packing donee for away time next week at my sis's in Devon.

Hoping to get a swim in today (back likes backstroke but its wise to choose a quiet time) and then the dreaded 'will there be a queue of 12 +" at the chemist.

My best wishes to poorlies and may outings and baking and visitors go well.

Morning from windy S Lanarkshire. Lovely to hear from momb, good too to hear about your Ukrainian guests on another thread which caught my eye. Enjoy your active holiday!

Looking forward to hearing about your ball Grannygravy and seeing your dress.

I’ve had a miserable few days feeling quite ill and have had to cancel some long arranged meetings. A bit better this mornings but still very tired so another quiet day is in order.

Earache is truly horrible Mary, I hope Dollie recovers today, you will have been looking forward so much to her visit.

Best wishes to everyone for a good day.

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Wonderful night at GD's school production of the Lion King, she was an impressive Mufasa.
Today is the last day of term and also their prize giving assembly, I would not be surprised if she returns home with at least one.
I am going to have a quiet day and catch up on some reading before a houseful at the weekend.
Thoughts are with poorly people.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton. Washing is in the machine, and I am just enjoying a mug of tea and a ginger biscuit! Woke up at 6, and turned over and had another couple of hours.

We were worked hard at dance classes yesterday, especially tap where there were only three of us - nowhere to hide! We are learning a complicated sequence to a Wham track, for our annual tapathon in November - yes, it will take us that long to get the routine into our heads! Thank goodness ballet was a little less strenuous.

My new posh frock arrived yesterday, so will try it on after my shower, hoping it fits as well as it did when I tried it on in the shop.... If not, I am planning a visit to Milton Keynes tomorrow,.so should be able to return it to John Lewis.

My usual shopping trip this morning, coffee and a snack in the M&S cafe, and a mooch around the shops.

Happy Friday everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
My GD arrives this morning and then with my DS we are off to the south to join DD on the first leg of our journey to Biarritz.
DS arrived last night and is a night owl and good company. I have to tear myself away to get to bed at a reasonable time.

Have the best day you can at the moment Mick, unwelcome news Blossoming and thoughts to all with worries of any kind.🌹

Good morning all. The weather is what has become 'the usual' on the Angus coast - winter cardi time!
Tai chi was good yesterday, but as I hadn't slept well the previous night I was exhausted by the end of the class and enjoyed an afternoon of Wimbledon from behind closed eyes. I certainly woke up for Andy Murray though - what a match!! His poor Mum, watching him in agony just before close of play - he has so many replaced and repaired bits and pieces! Let's hope all's well for today.
Lots of lovely times on here with little grandchildren's sleepovers and performances - I hope little Dolly's earache clears quickly.
Mick enjoy a gentle stroll in the sunshine today. It's good to hear you're getting some of your strength back now.
Enjoy the Summer Ball GG!
Liberty what a lovely day you had at Hampton Court - I hope your dahlia does well and we get treated to a photo of it.
Enjoy your time in Cambridge, Brook, and you too Ash watching your thespian DGS.
There's so much activity on here today! Momb enjoy your walking in the mountains, and Mizuna your art with your student - I wish I could join you. Marydoll giving up your parish duties is a wise move I feel.
I wish I had listened to my inner voice rather than the BBC weather app which told me there was 0% chance of rain - I now have a load of washing to hang out in the rain and my inner voice is saying "I told you so"! Hey ho.
Enjoy your days (and Ball 😉) everyone and I hope you feel better Ekwa.
