Good Morning Everyone,
I slept to my usual sleeping pattern last night .
I am trying to get the manager of the building to pick up my prescriptions .
Hopefully things improve soon as to health .
Take Care,
Mick

I really dont know what to say to that poster.
I dont post although I read every day but that has baffled me.
There are some posters I just know I wouldn't want as friend or neighbour and I am sure I am not alone in that sentiment but 95% I should just love to get to know in real life.
If we all just "thought" instead of posting life would be more pleasurable.
Why not start a new thread Calpurnia?
I am sure this could run and run.
'Tis better that this heretofore pleasant and kindly thread not be sullied by personal attacks.

Juliee try the House and Home thread for advice. If you are a U.K. Citizen then there won’t be a problem coming over to live.
Raining here now so I won’t be planting the Geraniums I bought earlier this morning.
But I did buy cake, so we are all sorted.
Late again ! I read this everyday but don’t post much. It’s warm and dry here in Co Durham with rain forecast in the next hour.
I’m struck by the fact that the whole gamut of life is reflected on these threads.
I’m multitasking, reading this and cycling on my exercise bike.
Thoughts as ever with Urms and Kalu.
Good morning all and it’s humid and overcast here in Essex.
Hopefully the rain will come later.
I shopped early on, as did lots of others. Only one till open so a long queue at the checkout.
Just walked the dog in the shade and now sitting with a cool drink in front of the fan. A day of reading the newspapers and watching the tennis.
I wish we were at our seaside abode , wallowing in the sea . 🥵.
Just heard that 11 yr old gd has passed her first piano exam with merit. I do hope she continues with it. Such an accomplishment to have.
Sorry Juliee I don’t know about Plymouth, but I’m sure someone on gransnet will. You could put it on another thread to get more information 🤔.
I think Ive been fighting off a cold this week - nothing too bad but a tickly cough, runny nose and muzzy head. Could just be hayfever!
Enjoy the weekend and welcome the rain.☔️
kittylester I too like the sound of that Greek Taverna van - what a great idea! It's a chippy or nothing round these parts.
Good morning from a rapidly clouding over W Kent. Yesterday was quite busy, at the supermarket there were long queues but the lady in front of me decided to chat and the time passed quite quickly over our planned weekends. Usual Friday afternoon care of DGS5 and a dose of tennis. DD2 arrived home and announced she had a sore throat, tested for Covid which was negative, I am afraid it is end of term and she is exhausted, apparently the parents hadn't obeyed instructions at sports day!
Kittylester I do like the sound of the Greek Taverna van.
Marydoll I hope Dollie continues to improve.
Take care all who are struggling along.
Good Morning from S Yorks. the sun was out until 10 minutes ago, so it must be building up to the predicted thunderstorms.
I've had a really busy week for me so today is a day of rest for mind and body.
Bests for poorlies and may outings and family be enjoyed.
Nice pix, gransnetters, always enjoy them.
Good morning from thundery Siberia.
Hope your recovery continues well, Mick.
I have been to the gym and the supermarket, dodging the heavy showers. My flat is sparkling clean and I am drinking a well deserved cup of tea. A friend is popping in for a cuppa later.
I have been looking at Zoopla at flats to buy as I want to retire to Plymouth in the next year or so. (Randomly chosen city as I have no rellies or links in the UK). Anybody have any knowledge of life in this city?
Sadly some websites are not accessible to me here, including Facebook and Rightmove.
Have a great day and hopefully the sun will come out!
Ladyleftfieldover: You should be able to check if your train is affected by the overtime ban on this website:-

A tick or triangle indicates good or bad news.
No, Marydoll, I hadn’t booked assistance but I think the staff like a speedy departure from each station so I guess it’s in everyone’s interest to help the frail and fragile! Maybe it made a difference because I can travel First Class with my pass.
Good Morning everyone from Severnside. As the other west countryers have said rain is expected. Hope my new butt on the greenhouse fills. I’ve one on each side now and two on the shed.
I think I’ve a similar photo to the one you posted ginny.
I may paint my bench frame today (in the garage) as apart from shopping yesterday I did nothing. It was too hot.
Have a good day all 🌺
Nerve wracking day for me as DGD1 gets used to driving my automatic car and tests out the route to school for Monday morning. Am sure she will be fine, just me that isn’t!
Hope all those not well have a better day, especially Mick, who ought to be getting more support than he is, Marydoll and Dollie.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 18° with blue skies. No thunder here yet. I woke very early for me - before five- but managed to get back to sleep where I had a series of discombobulating dreams. I also have an upset stomach which is entirely my fault. I love lime pickle with a curry and had too much of it. I'll never learn.
Today I'll do some housework and washing. I should go to Aldi too. Later on I'll visit mum in hospital. Have a good day all.
Good morning all from a grey and windy Anglesey, where did that wonderful blue skied summer disappear to. Legs got as far as pink, need a bit more sun to achieve brown, please.
Full English underway, Saturday treat, then a day of planting up our roadside tubs which look a bit grumpy from lack of care.
Wishing everyone the best day possible, even the tiniest snatches of pleasure can stretch a long way.

Good morning from a sunny NE where it is 20 degrees already.
Today DS and family are visiting and taking me to see my sister and BIL who has the poorly leg.
We will be just having a simple meal tonight because I will not have a lot of time for preparation when we return.
Ashcombe, GD's school includes drama in the curriculum and their productions are very ambitious and often staged at a theatre in Durham. Earlier this year they did School of Rock and previous years Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Good morning from a dull and windy Oxfordshire. It’s due to rain with thunder later this afternoon, I hope it holds off until then as I’m going to the Garden Centre at 9, unlike Karmalady I’m just going to grab some Geraniums in pots which I will transfer into some empty pots here, shouldn’t take too long and it will brighten things up. I’ve realised that I can only do gardening in 1 hour bursts, after an op on my back some years ago I just lock up, add that my wobbly legs if I kneel down for too long, so it’s short bursts but it still gets the job done.
So garden centre, then shop to buy some marzipan and Royal icing for MzOops birthday cake and I’m done for the day.
I was saying to my Hairdresser yesterday that as the girls and GCs love rich fruit cake for their birthdays ( but can’t manage to eat a full size home made one) and I’m long past enjoying the time spent and the cost of home made ones , at Christmas I buy several of Sainsburys Finest un iced rich fruit cakes ( in other words Christmas cakes) I then freeze them and pull one out when I need to, then just marzipan and ice them.
The kids all love them and they are only about £6 So a win, win.
Anyway that’s my day.
I hope all the poorlies start to feel better soon, special thoughts are with Kalu and Urms.
Good morning from a very warm Black Country, but with dark grey clouds looming. Thunderstorms predicted later.
It was a gloriously sunny day yesterday when my friend and I visited Bewdley. Lunch in the Museum cafe, and a walk along the river.
BBQ in the evening, where it was still warm outside and 10pm.
No plans today except for a spot of housework and reading.
Enjoy your Saturday everyone
Mizuna, I can get down on my knees, I just can't get up again!🤣
My neighbour had to help me the other day, when I stuck in the garage, raking about in the bottom shelf of the freezer. DH, of course, never noticed I was missing! 😡
Morning from a clammy S Hants, 20 already.
Mick I’d ring the chemist, many deliver prescriptions.
Good day yesterday, lots of small jobs done and did my walks before it crept up to 27, MrJ went to bowls, I skulked indoors with the blinds closed.
Today, newspaper, walk, cricket/tennis, pub later.
Enjoy your meet ups, thoughts with those poorly or struggling in other ways.

Good morning all from the Black country rather dull at the moment don't think it will change either.
Lovely afternoon at DGS summer fair each year did a short performance and there where plenty of stalls and refreshments.
I won a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates well pleased.
Shall catch up with everybody's happenings later usual full English calling.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning Mick and all. It's 16° and a lovely sunny start on the Angus coast - no rain forecast until this evening, which is acceptable. Overnight rain is very civilised!
I'm sorry your progress is so slow Mick and there seems to be no support for you. I don't know what to suggest .....
I hope Grannygravy had a ball at her ball last night and it was a magical evening.
I had a lovely long chat with DS2 yesterday afternoon. He and his family are slowly making their way up the west coast of Scotland in their campervan, destination Skye. They're enjoying waking up each morning to the spectacular scenery - a bit of a change from Lincolnshire!
I was sad that Andy Murray was knocked out of Wimbledon yesterday - an end of an era I'm afraid.
Lots to do here today - as there is every day 😉. It's whether it all gets done or not is the question. Tomorrow always seems preferable somehow!
Have a good day everyone and I hope the poorlies feel better - including the little grandchildren x
Good morning.
We spent yesterday at Cadgwith. A lovely fishing village. The sun shone and we sat and watched the world go by. Afterwards we drove to Roskillys farm and enjoyed their delicious icecream.
Today we are headed for Lizard Point.
Healing thoughts to all who need them . Enjoy your holidays and outings , there are a lot going on. A pleasant day wished for all.
Good morning from a bright Suffolk with no sign of black clouds and no rain forecast. We are just 5 miles from the coast and seem to miss the extremes of weather. Rain would be good though.
Another quiet day at home with some admin to do. I wish I could follow the advice I was given years ago which is to deal only once with each piece of paper. Nowadays I think that would include electronic items. Instead I read something, put it aside,go back to it( if I can find it) and think about dealing with it. Rarely is that the end of it.
I’m hoping to add a photo of the dahlia we bought at Hampton Court yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve done this since posting on this thread .
Thinking of all with sadness in their hearts at this time.
