I wonder if it’s anything to do with books we read as children which showed these colours? Reading nanna8 ‘s description of the colours of the days of the week are very similar to mine

I am quite arty but I don’t see days in colour I don’t see them in shapes they are just names !

My jewellery which is not expensive (I don’t own anything expensive) pendants and bracelets etc hang on small cup hooks on my bedroom wall No chance of tangles and earrings go in ice cube trays in my bedside drawer ( I have 72 pairs at the moment )

I see the days of the week in an oval lying sideways.
Monday (blue) starts on the left, followed by Tuesday ( yellow) Wednesday ( Orange) Thursday ( deep red) Friday ( blue/grey) Saturday ( green) Sunday (Black)

Months of the year are in a circle starting with January at the bottom right hand side and they too have different colours.

I too thought everyone else saw them like me, until I mentioned it to a friend who looked at me as if I was mad!

Monday pale blue, Tuesday orange yellow, Wednesday green, Thursday cherry red, Friday scarlet, Saturday daffodil yellow, Sunday very dark maroon-red. Colours vary, don’t have colours for all except 6 definitely yellow, five dark red, two blue, 7 red brown - that’s it for colours. I think white for 1 but pretty colourless almost transparent. Weird, they keep the same colours forever.

I am not at all arty or crafty,my days of the week are all coloured,Monday pink, tuesday blue wednesday dark red, thursday light blue, friday dark green, saturday light green ,sunday bright red.

I see the months as different colours, numbers have colours and so do names.

I also have I believe is called anosmia, which is a smell associated with different people that no one else can smell except me.

I am not given to flights of fancy, and as my name suggests, very down to earth.

I see the year and indeed all time related concepts as linear.

I keep my good jewellery in its boxes but the costume jewellery together in one box. I unpick any knots with 2 pins but with my glasses on!!

Oooh, that sounds lovely. Are any of you very arty? Crafty?

My week is very black and white. Some months might have colours but very straightforward one. January - White, September - Orange. But that is about as interesting as it gets.

No idea about the jewellery, Kate but, to add to my black and whiteness, why do I always wear the same necklace despite having loads of them?

Of course the days of the week have colours:-) but they may not match yours

Since I was a small child I have always seen days of the week in colours and thought everyone else did, too. Not the case, apparently. Some, but not all, numbers have colours for me,too. I like your year, NanKate, though I don’t have that one. There are a lot of artists in our family, maybe there’s a connection ? Just a thought.
Oh, my jewellery gets knotted,too- even though I hang it on stands.

A few years back I started one or two new threads which brought up some very interesting comments. As many of the contributors are no longer on GN I thought I would see what the present Gransnetters have to say. So here goes.

How does my jewellery get knotted up when I place it in one of my jewellery boxes ?🤔

I have a very visual memory and I view the year in the shape of an egg lying down/elipse shape. Starting from bottom right I see September, moving up and round we move through Autumn and at the top in the middle is December, moving down now and round the egg shape we come to Spring and so on. Have I lost you yet with my odd description ? How do you view the year? The week goes from left to right in a straight line.
