Good Morning Everyone,
Its sunny here at the moment here in brackley this morning.
Gradually getting my body clock sorted out as to routines and sleeping .
Today, laundry plus a clean up in flat, and maybe a online food etc order plus tempted with Wiltshire farms as to ready made meals .
Take Care,
Mick

M&s meals you can order from Ocado. And waitrose do delivery too.
Today we've had our new washing machine delivered and installed. Was really struggling without being able to wash things.
And it fitted in the cupboard!
Have a good day.

Sorry your start to the day was not so good Marydoll. Hopefully by now you are feeling a bit better. Take care x

Jaxjacky Wed 12-Jul-23 15:55:44

Hi HelterSkelter I think it might be the delivery of Wiltshire Mick may find useful for the short term, both of your suggestions are helpful.

HelterSkelter1 Wed 12-Jul-23 15:47:56

Re Wiltshire meals. During chemotherapy last year I thought they would be a good idea. Went for the special introductory offer. Not very impressed. Much preferred Waitrose or MS ready meals. We bought a new microwave before I started the treatment and, when I felt like eating , WR and MS came up trumps.

Good morning from hot sunny Siberia!

A quiet day today for me. The gym, lunch out, a walk and school admin all done. I felt cooler looking at all the fountains and pretty flowerbeds on my walk. I love them!

I'll probably watch a movie on tv tonight. It is too hot to do much here.

Hope you all have a peaceful day!

Good morning,
It’s cloudy with sunny intervals at the moment. Rain forecast for this afternoon, so I’m hoping to get my sheets line dried before then.
Sorry to read you’re not feeling too good today marydoll. I hope you soon start to feel better.
No big plans for today, will just see what develops.

Grandmachrisy47 Wed 12-Jul-23 10:27:57

Good morning from a grey Co Durham.
Writing this while pedalling on my exercise bike. My fitness watch tells me I waked over 8000 steps over three and a half miles yesterday. Proud of myself 😀.
Just dashed round with hoover, the rest can wait.
Thoughts are with Urms, kalu and Marydoll. 🤞 for the corners and expected the baby news.

Good morning Mick and all from a cloudy Biarritz. The sun is coming out later but the temperature is ideal.
I tried on scores of brown sandals in Galerie Lafayette yesterday but no joy. My feet were swollen too which made it more problematic…

My sister finally arrived last night and we all stayed up till all hours talking (and drinking) She too hasn’t been here before so we are taking her on a little tour of nice places we have found and there are lots of them.

Meal delivery is a good idea Mick to make life easier for yourself.
I too know about the ups and downs of theatreland •Ash• and its clashing temperaments, it can be upsetting.
Thoughts to •Urms• •Kalu• and anyone with worries🌺

Good morning everyone from cool and cloudy Lancashire. There’s a very cold wind blowing off the estuary and it’s just started raining.

You are sounding much brighter Mick.

I’m sorry you’re feeling so rough today Marydoll, I hope you can have a good rest. I love your novellas but your wellbeing is more important.

Thinking of Kalu, Urms and all who are dealing with illness right now.

Have a good day all 🌻🌻🌻

Morning, reading the thread early, for me, as have just unexpectedly been called up as 1st reserve for childminding duty- Daddy can’t do it as helping out with child 1’s school trip ( that was the alternative offer🤣) and Mummy can’t as she’s got the dreaded virus ( not Covid) which seems to be doing the rounds.
Today is usually my free day, so all my plans ( mainly just relaxing, reading, a bit of gardening etc) have been scuppered.
Oh well, off I go to get the toys etc out- should have left them where they were yesterday…
Thoughts to all with worries etc, and best wishes for those with exciting times ahead. x

Good morning from Durham. I’ve overslept following overnight talks with the friend I met yesterday. Her DD and DH upset her at the weekend and we have talked it through for hours. I’d be upset too.
Another coffee this morning with a different friend, then an easy afternoon and on standby to collect DGS2 from school if needed.
My DF used WFFoods Mick and through trial and error found which he preferred
Please take it easy Marydoll.
Best wishes to all. X

Pittcity Wed 12-Jul-23 09:38:37

Thank you all for your good wishes.
Sending gentle hugs to Marydoll and all x

Good morning from a cloudy/sunny Shropshire.
Just planted 2 echinacea plants in my outdoor pots so hope they like it there. Blood test later but bed changing and coffee first
Hope you feel a little better later Marydoll and wishes to everyone for a pleasant day.

grandMattie

I love the idea of you being “fairy” local, ginny .

😁 I love fairies. I have several who live in my garden.

grandMattie Wed 12-Jul-23 09:29:27

Ekwa! I have put in a great deal of effort, joining everything that might interest me. I can always drop the ones where I feel less comfortable or interested.

grandMattie Wed 12-Jul-23 09:27:27

Hurray! Yippee!! At last !!!
For the last week, I have visited Boots daily for my prescription. I personally took it to the surgery 15 days ago…. The excuse has been “we are short staffed”! Really? Fortunately, I have a stash - I made sure I had plenty when leaving Kent.

EkwaNimitee Wed 12-Jul-23 09:23:47

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where vicious showers are slamming into the ground! My window cleaner is due but if this keeps up, I think he'll sensibly cancel.

I had a quietish day yesterday but pottered through useful little jobs that needed doing. Last night's sleep was disturbed by acid indigestion, a side effect of my antibiotics. They haven't kicked in yet and I'm feeling grotty so another gentle day in store.

You must be feeling bad not to post one of your novellas Marydoll, my very best wishes for an improving day.

grandMattie you are putting me to shame....I've been moved longer than you and haven't really built up a social life here though I don't live in a community like you where you can more easily meet others as a start. Not an excuse though!

Have the best possible day all.

Good morning from a chilly overcast Co Armagh
I’m still in pjs ! It’s fatal to open this forum before my breakfast !
Waiting to hear if the CS went ahead , how lovely 🥰

luluaugust Wed 12-Jul-23 09:10:03

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. More tea drinking this morning in a lovely tea room just round the corner. DF has had house purchase and sale going on for months, she is getting worn out by it all so a sit down will be good. Later DH and I will pop to big local shopping centre, he wants to print a photograph at Boots and I think I need every other shop!
All the best Pittcity I remember that feeling of waiting for a caesarian to happen.
Marydoll hope the day picks up for you.
Best wishes to all

Good morning Mick and all. It's sunny, breezy and soon to be wet on the Angus coast. 13° my weather app says.
Funnily enough Mick I was looking into Wiltshire farm foods yesterday. I can't get myself very interested in food and meals just now. I think they'd be excellent for you as a way of getting yourself back into a normal eating regime. There's certainly plenty of variety in their menus. I say give it a try and let us know how it goes.
What a lot of interesting posts on here this morning between art courses, tantrumming grandchildren, prize-winning grandchildren - to say nothing of sitting out in the early morning rain!
So glad Mr C has been given another date Corner and til then make sure you enjoy your activities - and cake!
An exciting day Pittcity!
My eldest grandson and his partner are off on a couple of days' camping trip to Arran today. With them they are taking a sealed brown envelope which they are going to open together - to find out if they're going to be welcoming a baby girl or boy in November! Such a lovely romantic thing to do 💕
In a few moments I'm off to hang out some washing in the hopes it will dry in the 'fresh breeze' before the forecast thundery showers hit. Other than that, no plans - except to cook some chicken olives in a mushroom, cream and brandy sauce to go in the freezer.
Yesterday's tai chi was good - it's so relaxing, and yet at the same time it's so energising. Love it.
My thoughts are with DS2 and family waking up in their campervan in Glencoe this morning - I think that's the most majestic and atmospheric place on earth. After that it's the long trail south to return the van - but what a lovely week they've had!
Now, I'm off - the washing line calls. Have a lovely day everyone. Marydoll flowers feel better soon.

Good to hear the school has listened Sar and hoping things improve a bit now for your DGD, take care

Exciting times Pittcity hoping all goes well for mum and baby x

grandMattie Wed 12-Jul-23 08:31:23

I’m sorry you’re not feeling good today Marydoll, thank you for letting us know.
What a shame,*Ash*, sad that cliques form in whatever committee. Good luck.
Corner, patience is a virtue but goodness it’s hard work. Fingers crossed 🤞

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 12-Jul-23 08:30:51

Good morning from a sunny (so far) Oxfordshire.

Shopping delivery later, and a birthday cake to ice, I did one last night as MzOops and the GCs from Cornwall will be here early afternoon for a few days, it’s her birthday today and T’s birthday was on Monday, 18!! Where has the time gone? Although M will be leaving tonight as she has work in the morning, a curry take away has been requested and MissOops (and maybe Nephew) will also be here.

Apart from that just dog walking today, I was so wet after yesterdays walk (it was fine when I left home) that I had to have a shower and get dry clothes when I got home, the rain was torrential. The dog wasn’t very happy either, but I can’t run home anymore.

MrOops will steer clear of the family and wear a mask as he still isn’t very well, must be a virus, thankfully it hasnt ‘gone to his chest’ or we would be in a pickle, he is sleeping lots so won’t be around very much.

Best wishes are with Marydoll,Urms and Kalu 💐

Have a good day everyone, let’s hope the sun shines

harrigran Wed 12-Jul-23 08:22:42

Good morning from a bright NE, we have had overnight rain as the paths are wet.
Yesterday I hoovered the bedrooms and cleaned the bathrooms. Twice I cleaned my very large shower cubicle doors and they are still cloudy, most annoying.
Dinner was mushroom omelette and some French fries.
Today is shopping day and SIL will be here at 11am.
Take care Marydoll and he a restful day.
Thoughts are with Urmston and Kalu.

Sar53 Wed 12-Jul-23 08:19:17

Good morning from the Essex coast where the sun is shining at the moment.
DH is going to London to meet up with an old work colleague so I get the car today.
Food shopping first thing then I need to go to the Range for some bits and pieces.
A long talk with DD1 yesterday and DGD2's school are putting in place some strategies to try and help her. I am so glad that they have listened and seem to want to help a very unhappy teenager.
I'm sorry to hear that you are poorly Marydoll, I hope you have a better day.
We wait with bated breath for your news Pittcity, exciting times.
Thinking of all those with worries and illness.
I hope today is a good one xxx
