Good Morning Everyone,
Its sunny here at the moment here in brackley this morning.
Gradually getting my body clock sorted out as to routines and sleeping .
Today, laundry plus a clean up in flat, and maybe a online food etc order plus tempted with Wiltshire farms as to ready made meals .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a bright Bristol. I’ve been awake since silly o’clock, which is very wearing as the world starts to move 3-4 hours after me…
The Archdeacon’s visitation went very well, he is a really good (and nice) man. It was well attended. I met DD briefly; her wardens were being “done”.
Today, everything is being crammed to the middle of the day. I have an “—inmate—“ resident coffee morning, immediately followed by a meeting with my financial adviser. Hurried lunch, then book group in the next village…. No time for a nap today 🙁
May today bring only contentment and peace to you all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

Linkage” is supposed to be struck through… 🤨

grandMattie Wed 12-Jul-23 06:02:57

“Inmates”. Grrr

Good morning, an iffy day in s somerset, with on and off rain and cooler

Mick no harm done to try and test those Wiltshire meals, they have to be pretty good otherwise people would not buy them

Yesterday was another day that disappeared into the ether but I did get a lot of satisfying knitting done. Similar today as I am expecting a parcel

Have a good day

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a sunny (at the moment) South Yorkshire. Yesterday was a bit of a lost day catching up on lost sleep and generally doing not a lot. I didn’t manage to get out for a walk until after tea because of the weather and then had a long catch up with my best friend and arranged for her to come to lunch in a couple of weeks time. My new printer arrived and remains in its box until I decide on its permanent home and get round to setting it up. Writers group at the library this afternoon.
Enjoy your day folks.

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire. I think we had rain overnight and there is rain in the forecast.

Bertie's end of school performance was really good but, as predicted, Bertie looked as though he wished he was anywhere else but there.

But, at the presentation afterwards, he was awarded School Sportsman of the Year. He was very happy to go on the stage to collect his award.

DH is off to the gym first thing while I have to be the other side of the forest by 9 to collect Wolfie. A real hardship.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Good morning all from dull South Lanarkshire, more rain today I fear.

Yesterday afternoon was spent with a lovely Gransnet friend, we always manage to chat the hours away.

Work today and I’m already looking forward to coming home as I didn’t sleep well and could quite easily snuggle back down and drift off.

Thoughts are with those Gransnetters who are going through difficult times.

Have a good day everyone.

RosesandLilac Wed 12-Jul-23 06:43:10

Good morning from a cool corner of Dorset, the pigeons woke me earlier, so noisy first thing.
I had a really enjoyable day painting yesterday and I am looking forward to another today.
It’s lovely meeting a new group of people with similar interests, they’re from all over southern England and Wales.
Have a good day everyone 🌹

Good morning from Sefton. Raining. Cool. Windy.
Our friends had a very "senior moment" yesterday & forgot they were meeting us for lunch. Understandable as they have a lot going on in their lives at the moment. We still had our nice lunch in lovely surroundings.
Zoom exercise class & Pilates this morning. Will have to do a food shop this afternoon. Rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure watching the grass grow.
Good to hear you are improving & getting into a routine Mick. Ready made & delivered meals sounds like a good idea.
Take care all.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A cooler day with the odd shower forecast.
Usual Wednesday coffee meetup in the city centre this morning.
Packing a bag to go to stay at DD2s for a few days from this afternoon. I am on school duty for DGS2 as DGDs Caesarian birth is planned for tomorrow 🤞(it's a ring in the morning to check it's going ahead job!)
I am excited and nervous 🙂
Love to all 🦩 x

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset. Looks like a mixed weather day for us. Less windy which is a huge blessing, the poor garden is battered.

Mr C’s new admission date arrived, five weeks ahead. Although staying positive there’s an underlying doubt it will happen.

In the meantime we’re arranging to spend time with friends, planning some enjoyable days and lunches out. Oh yes - and cake! Today is routine, dust removal, grocery delivery and a bill to pay for our new patio doors and window.

Several neighbours use Wiltshire Foods and enjoy them mick. No harm in trying to see if they suit you. You will as my mum used to say meet yourself coming back today mattie. Hope there’s space for your lunch. A proud moment kitty, well done Bertie. Enjoy writers group greyd.

Hope the day is kind to us all.

Well, that’s annoying. I had typed a message but an Aldi advert popped up and now my message has gone! Have a good day everyone!

Grandmabatty Wed 12-Jul-23 07:21:08

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13° and sunny. Lots of clouds about though. Pittcity exciting time ahead for you and your family. Cornergran fingers crossed that it goes ahead in five weeks. It's so annoying for you and Mr C. RoseandLilac I'm glad you're having a good time. Baubles sympathies. I never sleep well and some days I'm like a half shut knife.
Yesterday was, truth be told, a fractious day. I think I was very tired and didn't deal with the toddler tantrums well. And boy, were there some tantrums. It didn't help that the rain was torrential in the afternoon so it curtailed our outdoor activities and my grandsons are much better behaved when active. Dgs2 was decidedly grumpy, like his grandma! We did go to the country park and then the local play park in the morning and our collective grumps disappeared late afternoon. I promise to do better. Mum slept through most of my visit. She woke up to me holding her hand, smiled, said hello and then went back to sleep.
Today I am meeting a friend for breakfast then I need to pick up sandals that I've ordered from Next. This afternoon will be spent ironing and packing my suitcase for Friday's trip to Spain. Salad for dinner. Have a good day all

Jaxjacky Wed 12-Jul-23 07:22:09

Morning from sunny S Hants, pleased your course is going well RosesandLilac p, relaxing after Monday.
Exciting times Pittcity a new baby!
Fingers crossed cornergran you must feel so frustrated, enjoy your planned days and cake!
I’m glad you were seen Ekwa let’s hope the new antibiotics do the job this time.
Library, farm shop and pharmacy for me today, we’re due a couple of showers, possibly.
Thoughts with those in sad places.

Good morning. Our last day here on the Lizard. We will stay fairy local today so DH does not have to drive far.Wishing all a pleasant day.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 12-Jul-23 07:25:37

Morning all

Blue sky with fluffy cotton wool clouds, I think there is a chance of rain sometime today here in S E Essex.

Gym first thing, then it’s general pottering.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

grandMattie Wed 12-Jul-23 07:28:10

I love the idea of you being “fairy” local, ginny 😂

Ashcombe Wed 12-Jul-23 07:28:46

Good morning from a sunny Torbay.

A late start as we’ve only just woken up! We were late to bed because I had a long theatre committee meeting. The Treasurer left early on because she didn’t like being challenged about decisions she had made. I'm sad to say a clique has emerged and unwise decisions were made without a quorat being present which has caused much disquiet amongst members. It is unlikely I’ll stand for re-election at the next AGM. All is not rosy in theatre land!

In the overall scheme of things, with folk on here facing serious problems, it’s insignificant. Happy hump day! 🦩🥰😎💐🦩

Good morning from under an umbrella on my patio swing seat. Drizzling in this bit of Cornwall, lovely and cool. Have started reclaiming my elevated seating area in the wood above my patio, where I create a bench seat when I moved in. It has lovely views across the town and feels secretive when I'm up there among the trees and wildness. A friend is coming this morning to sort my sewing machine, which is tangling the spool. She thinks I may be using the wrong needle to sew all the denim I work with. Ooh, rain now, not drizzle. My knees are getting wet. Time to go in.

Marydoll Wed 12-Jul-23 07:39:17

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 12°C and cloudy.

Just checking in, but Im not too good today, so no novellas, you will be relieved to hear.

Have a good day folks.

BlueSapphire Wed 12-Jul-23 07:40:24

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but thundery showers forecast this afternoon, same as.yesterday, but none materialused.

I had a generally rotten day with hay fever, very sore and stinging eyes and streaming nose, which no medication had any effect on. I still managed our health walk, as it was.either stay home and suffer, or suffer outdoors in good company. It took a good hour or so after I got home for my symptoms to subside.

And then the spicy mince which was defrosting yesterday turned out to be a Bolognese! But didn't discover that until I was halfway through cooking rice to go with it! Still, I did some peas and sweetcorn to go with it, and it turned out to be a very tasty meal.. Ham egg and chips for dinner tonight, can't get that wrong!

Well-being cafe this afternoon, if I can escape the showers; looking forward to the knit and natter, (and cake!).

Wishing all a pleasant Wednesday.

BlueSapphire Wed 12-Jul-23 07:43:43

Sorry to hear that Marydoll, hope today is better.

cornergran Wed 12-Jul-23 07:50:12

marydoll flowers. Hope the day improves.

Nannagarra Wed 12-Jul-23 07:52:15

Good morning from overcast Sefton. Can you send some rain, Gala?
DH had me out cycling yesterday and plans to do the same today. A food delivery and spending time with our DGC limit his “windows”.
🚴…………....🚴‍♀️ (me).
Whatever you intend to do, may the sun shine for and upon you. Thinking of Urms whose post was a welcome read, of Kalu and anyone else who might find our support of benefit.
