This is the very last cardigan I knitted myself.

I’ve done lots of knitting over the years, baby clothes used to sell really well in the charity shop I worked in a few years ago.
Now I knit blankets for the Linus.Foundation who supply lots of charities who need them.
I like to knit when watching tv as likeNanna8 I don’t feel like I’m wasting time just sitting.
My Granddaughter has just taken a liking to crochet and made herself a jumper which she’s very proud of.

I do a lot, but no garments any more - I make items for a charity that sends them (for free except for postage) to children’s therapists. all over the U.K. There’s invariably a long waiting list.
I use all the colours under the sun!

I also make Christmas items for Gdcs’ school raffle, a Nativity set and something else if there’s time. There’s also a blanket I get back to now and then.

I hate housework, so when I put it off for knitting at least I feel I’m doing something useful. 🙂

I’ve just finished knitting a large adult jumper in Aran, now for the horrible job of sewing up!

Your niece Salti, that’s lovely 🧶

That’s lovely, Salti. I’d be very proud, it must have been well done to last that long !

I used to always have some knitting on the go, the more complicated the better: Fair isle, picture knits or Aran. My fingers ache too much now when I try but I was amazed at Christmas about 5 years ago to see my niece wearing a "snowman and Christmas tree" jumper that I had knitted for my sister about 40 years ago.

Greenfinch

I find knitting therapeutic but only do simple things that don’t need much concentration. I would love to be able to crochet.

YouTube, Greenfinch!!

BellaCoco, Hooked by Robin and others explain it very well.

I love to knit but sadly my family aren't keen on hand knitted items.

TV+ knitting. Perfect combination. I have many cardigans to prove it! grin

Having knitted since I was about 15, I changed to crocheting after a shoulder injury because I find it less strain on my joints.
It's still a learning curve!

The DGC don't want knitted garments any more ☹

I’m kind of addicted to it- a couple of months without knitting and I find I miss it. What colour are you knitting with if you are knitting ? I’m knitting in blue just now, just a sleeveless pullover. I was given a lot of wool and it has sat there for awhile but eventually I couldn’t resist churning out little garments for some of the younger family members. None of my family knits, they don’t have the patience these days but I like knitting in front of the tv because otherwise I feel I am wasting time ( I know, I know, silly isn’t it ?)
