Good morning from a rainy Cornwall. To a friend's house at 1.30 to watch the Wimbledon men's final. I'm taking the strawberries, she's providing the cream and, I think, Prosecco. I picked French lavender, oregano in flower and white mint, also flowering, at my allotment yesterday so will take her an aromatic posy. Wish I was with you gM, I love a bit of flat-pack assembly, all those little screws and instructions, bliss!! I'm peculiar, I know! grin

Good morning Michael and all GNs from gloomy South Yorkshire. It rained heavily on and off all day yesterday and I think it will be the same today. I must take some water out of the butt this morning and spread it round the garden as it’s overflowing and there’s more to come. I’ll bake a cake this afternoon. DD and her menfolk go away today for ten days. I shall miss them.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a slightly overcast and rather breezy Northumberland. We had some impressive thunderstorms yesterday afternoon, one of which coincided with my walking the pooches, so we all got a good drenching. I briefly considered taking refuge under a tree, bur with lightning not far away, decided that might not be such a good idea. Hope you have a peaceful and relaxing Sunday.

Good morning all from a wet and windy North Leicestershire.

We are aiming to have a relaxing day today with just the papers and the Men's final on the agenda.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Meant to wish Grammaretto a safe journey to Skye and a lovely stay there.

Good morning from Shropshire where another day of sunshine and showers is forecast.

Thank you for the lovely welcome back yesterday☺️

This morning I am taking DGD to a classmates birthday party which luckily is at a venue in our little town.DD and SIL will collect the children after lunch. We will then clear up the chaos and probably nap!

Thinking of all our good morning friends who are unwell or who have worries about family members.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩🌺

Good morning Mick and everyone from Leicester, where we are expecting the odd shower. Nothing like yesterday’s downpours though! Yesterday’s wind and rain soaked the doormats and beat down a lone evening primrose. I think I’ve managed to prop it back up again. But I must say the plants are enjoying the sun and rain on the whole.

Mick, it’s good to hear that things are improving. My DH is a keen cyclist and watches the TdF too. I will tell him we have a racer in our midst. He will be impressed 😊

Thinking of those battling illness and worries.
Have the best Sunday you can, everyone.

Morning from sun and still in S Hampshire, a total opposite from yesterday’s weather.
MrJ was playing in a golf tournament, high winds and squally showers meant he was really pleased come second out of 45. I did get a blustery walk in, wrapped a present and generally faffed with admin and tennis.
A conundrum gMattie I hope it gets resolved for you.
Thoughts with Kalu Urms and others struggling.

Good morning, needless to say it’s a wet morning here on a hill in south Gloucestershire after yesterday’s biblical downpours and gales, I haven’t seen rain like that for a long time. Still, it’s very welcome!
The dog and I dodged the early ones and she declined to go out later, sensibly.
I’ve started crocheting a big granny square blanket, something to do while watching the TdeF. It will go on the bed when finished (it will take some time I suspect because my enthusiasm will wax and wane 🙄😄
Today absolutely nothing planned but an early dog walk, we will go to the next village and give her a chance to be off lead.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Church this morning. OH Will be watching Wimbledon while I make chicken casserole for dinner. I’ve found a new pudding recipe - steamed chocolate and raspberry pudding. I know it’s summer - allegedly - but I’ll serve it with cream not custard. Have a good day. Thinking of Urms and all those suffering at the moment.

Good morning from a breezy but dry Whiddon Down!

I’m glad you’re starting to regain your appetite, Mick. No wonder you’re so interested in cycling with that experience in your past. A beautiful place to recall.

I know how you feel, grandMattie, with too many imponderables, so I hope all the plans fall into place.

The new baby looks beautiful, Pittcity! I hope your DD2 soon recovers from her Caesarean section. She will benefit from the loving help from both the grandmothers.

Yesterday the wind hardly abated with squally showers thrown in for good measure. We had a good day out in Exeter, by rail from Okehampton, including a delicious lunch in The Turk's Head. DH indulged his passion for photography by buying a rather expensive Sony camera.

I know how you feel, grandMattie, with too many imponderables, so I hope all the plans fall into place.

There are few people on site currently so we’re enjoying the tranquility, in contrast to the rather busy surroundings of Torbay!

Every blessing to you all, especially those who are unwell and our absent friends (Urmstongran and Kalu) 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Good morning from a dryish Bristol. Not holding my breath for a dry, warmish day after yesterday…
Had a quiet day. Made some apricot jam as I couldn’t find any and fancied some.
Mostly empty today, after church. I need to pack the “precious and fragile” before the men lay the new flooring tomorrow. Ugh…. Where shall I put the boxes? How long will I leave the stuff packed up as I want to get furniture more suited to the size of the room?
DS is leaving on Tuesday, DD will be away for a fortnight so I can’t get the Salvation Army to take the old. IKEA to bring in the new for over a fortnight, as I’ll need help assembling.
First world 🌎 problem!
Hugs to those in need. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩
