Good morning everyone from rainy Lancashire.
A very quick visit from me, I have had a bad night thanks to belly collywobbles. I’m going to try and get a little sleep now as it seems to have settled somewhat.
I will read the thread later, have a good day all.
As always, thoughts are with Baggs, Kalu and Urms.
Happy birthday ginster and GG enjoy your day 🎂🥂.
👋 hello and belated birthday wishes Grannyme6 where do you hail from?
Happy Birthday GG and Gingster. Thoughts as ever with those having difficult times.
Good morning Mick and all from a very wet northwest coast.
A quiet day today after DDs departure. Will carry on preparing my concert stuff and have a warble (which won’t be quiet..)
My back hasn’t stopped aching since returning from holiday so I’m throwing everything at it, Voltarol, hot pad, back support and paracetamol.
Birthday greetings Gingster GrannyGravy welcome Miss Chatelaine and a lovely pic NannyJan53.
Thoughts to all with worries of any kind.🌸
Aggie I ( well it was SIL) ) dug up an agapanthus from DD's garden last year, she didn't want it.
I have it in a beautiful ceramic tub. I thought it had died, but has really come back. The gardener, who delivered the tub for it, said the plant is worth about £200. It is huge! DD is raging, that she gave it away.
Good morning from a sunny Angus coast. I lost my post but it wasn't particularly interesting, so no great loss!
Grandmattie it must be very difficult to know when you should stop driving and give up that - probably last - bit of independence. It does make me wonder if there should be a mandatory upper age though. I'm sure your 99 yo resident doesn't venture into the city though!
Happy Birthday to our two birthday GNs.
Off now to scythe the clover mow the lawn ahead of the encroaching clouds. (Lovely Gardener is on holiday).
Enjoy all your exciting doings, and thoughts as ever with those who are not in a happy place in mind or body
Best Birthday Wishes to Gingster & to GrannyGravy, I hope you both enjoy your special day.
.
Also, my thoughts are with the poorly friends, & those with troubles & worries. x
Good morning, looks like we had rain in the night , so no change there !
About four years ago I planted an Agapanthus bulb in my raised bed , it was one left over from another area , it didn’t flower until last year , I had forgotten about it , till a single stem appeared , this year it has six tall beautiful stems , I love these surprises
Happy Birthday gingster and GG
Hope the show goes well Mizuna
Happy birthday gingster and GG.
Curiously, one of the residents is 99 today - more, worrying, is that she is still driving,
Wishing Gingsterand Grannygravy a Happy Birthday. My birthday was two days ago - lovely having a summer birthday!
DGD1 being borne away by her parents after an early lunch so is taking advantage of a chance for a lie in. Her two weeks have been a great success and I will miss her though I am sure she is in need of contemporary company.
Once they go I may strip their beds though won’t be drying washing outside for several days if the weather forecast is accurate. Or I may just flop. We’ll see.
A very Happy Birthday to Gingster and GG, enjoy the celebrations! 🎉💐🥂
Happy Birthday Gingster and Grannygravy 🎈🎂
Happy birthday to GG and Gingster🥳🎂🍾🥂
Good morning from a rainy and blustery Black Country. What a difference from yesterday.
A u3a walk yesterday along the Staffordshire railway walk, then back along the canal to Bratch Locks and the cafe where we parked.
Then to collect my varifocals from Halesowen, as they were £120 cheaper than Boots!
A surprise meal out last night to a local(ish) gastropub that MrJ had booked and only told me in the afternoon.
Happy Birthday to Gingster & GG13
Happy birthday to Grannygravy and to Gingster.
Happy Birthday to GG and Gingster!🎂💐
Good morning from a dismal & exceedingly damp Sefton. Looks like the rain is set in for the day. It is preferable to the the very scary temperatures a lot of countries are experiencing.
Washing & ironing & general household jobs up to date (mostly!), too wet to garden, so looks like I'll have to tackle some form filling which I keep putting off. A family birthday lunch to look forward to today. Our DS2 is 42 today...where does the time go. He was born on the last day of term which gave my OH a huge dilemma - end of term pub crawl or be at the birth!
Dog about to be walked in the pouring rain. He had his annual bath & "pamper day" yesterday. Hope the shampoo was properly rinsed off .....!
Thoughts & ((hugs)) to those of you having difficult times.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a dismal South Yorkshire. Going to be a very damp weekend. We did have enough sunshine yesterday to allow me an hour in the garden, and a brief walk down to the supermarket. I cleaned the utility room, went to put some bits and pieces in the garage and found, in a little plastic box at the back of a shelf, the thirteen keys for the conservatory windows that we thought we’d lost when the new solid roof was fitted some years ago. This was obviously DH’s idea of “putting them in a safe place”! I have moved them to an even safer place! I have no idea what’s in my garage now - one day soon I shall have to find out!
I shall make cheese scones today.
Have a good day, folks.
