Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 14° and damp. Quite a low cloud cover too.
Harris and Karma I don't sleep well either so many sympathies.
Yesterday I built the toy storage and did some toy tidying. Then I visited Aldi for cakes. I was just about to have a cuppa when DD messaged asking if I wanted to go to her house for one. Great minds and all that! So I spent a nice hour with her and the boys then tootled off to pick up my friend. We had a lovely afternoon chatting, drinking coffee and eating cake. She even took some of the redundant toys off my hands. I drove her home and went straight to see mum. She was quite demented last night and very forgetful about what has been happening. It is further evidence that she probably will never get home. While there, DD messaged me to say they were having a Chinese takeaway from my favourite restaurant, did I want one? There was no argument there! Not only that, she paid for it and delivered it to me too. Excellent service.
Today I'll return to Aldi for food shopping. Then some housework. I need to go to the retail park to get new curtains and a lampshade for the boys room and I'll finish that off and sort out the toys today. I'm not sure what I'll have for dinner. Possibly gammon. Have a good day all

Good morning and to all who follow. It’s a grey cloudy start on Severnside.

I went to bed last night after watching Law and Order UK which had an unpleasant ending. It gave me a bad dream which woke me and left me lying there feeling very frightened.

Yesterday I finally got around to changing the battery in the bathroom scales. Took me ages to figure out how to change the display from kg to stones and pounds. It was so obvious but I was having a dim day 🤣

Now I’ve had my breakfast I’ll catch up with Gardeners World and see what jobs are on for the weekend.

Have a good day all and if recovering take it steady 🪷🌺🌷

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Cloudy in South Yorkshire and cool. I had a very strange empty sort of day yesterday. Couldn’t settle to anything. I sat in the garden for a bit and photographed butterflies on the buddleia and saw something new - a broad banded bee hawk moth but it was gone before I could get half decent photo. Don’t suppose I’ll ever see another. They’re not usually seen this far north apparently. Had a chat in the evening with DD. DS and DiL are coming down later this afternoon and will stay overnight as we are going to a family christening tomorrow. I will cook roast lamb with garlic and rosemary for dinner this evening.
Hope the day is kind to all.

Good morning from West Wales.Rain forecast for most of the day.

Yesterday we spent time on the beach in the pouring rain while the children looked for sea creatures in treasure.Luckily the rain didn’t last too long.We then went to another beach where they enjoyed crabbing and rock pooling. We spent a couple of hours with MIL.DH’s brother and niece came to visit too.

DD2 and B are going home today. Not sure what we will do apart from visiting MIL later.Another niece is coming over today.

I hope Mr corner’s recovery is going well and that corner has managed a good nights sleep.

Have the best day you can everyone🌺🦩

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. OH will go and visit his bees this morning. I hope he doesn’t get stung this time! Elder son and his family are coming for the weekend. We haven’t seen them for a few weeks. They live just too far away in Kew for regular visits. Our granddaughter is growing rapidly. They put a photo of her on the family WhatsApp group and she seems to have shot up another inch or two. I am off to Australia next Sunday so am starting to think of that trip and what I need to take. I have bought a toy for my 2-year old great nephew, who I will be meeting for the first time. Thinking of the Corners and Urms. Have a good weekend.

Good morning from s somerset, a fine dry day today

Yesterday was nice, walking for an hour in NT grounds. It was generally busy with families and children, then I realised that there were free NT passes available via some newspapers. I got away from people and dogs, which is what I wanted but I shall be giving that nearby property a miss until the holidays are over. Locals were nice and friendly, offcomers avoided eye contact as though it was too much effort to say a good morning

I had a rubbish sleep last night and was glad to come downstairs, even if early. . Some outdoor exercise by 9 and whatever unfolds afterwards

Have a good day

Good morning from a clear Bristol. We are forecast showers but, I hope to have some warmth and sunshine too.
I trust MrC continues to progress, and now reassured, corner can relax a little.
I went to the new tai chi class - 30 minute walk each way for a 30 minute class! It was disappointing, the leader had told me to come to that class for new moves. She then told me that it was Tuesday that she taught new ones! Grrr… never mind, the class (and walk) is good for me.
I made a right Horlicks of the dimensions for a square for a “sampler” patchwork I’m trying to make. Not once but twice! Eventually, I gave up and made a different square. I’ll get back to “Dutchman’s puzzle” square, probably today.
In the afternoon, I joined some “inmates” for a chat in the garden. It’s nice to be out for a bit, also to chat to others. People come and go with/out their cuppas.
May the weekend bring relief to those in distress. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
