Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people! I've had a very busy weekend, just catching up now.
Nannytopsy, beautiful wreath, I love the sea holly especially.
Good luck with your packing up/ chucking out, YiaYia. Great photo, perfect gift for a teenage boy.
Super photo, Jaxjacky, I'm glad your *D and family are enjoying their holiday.
DS1 and family are at Party in the Palace at Linlithgow this weekend, they're having a ball!
I hope Soop and all the hay fever sufferers have some respite, and I did laugh out loud at Soop's big sneeze consequences. 🤣
Our Bookgroup ladies enjoyed a lovely meal in a country hotel on Friday evening, thanks Brook. I like to try something that I haven't had before so I chose seafood crepe for my main course. It was delicious, a perfect crepe containing haddock, salmon and prawns in a light sauce, I wasn't disappointed!
Grandmabatty, I really enjoyed Demon Copperhead and would have recommended it as a Bookgroup choice but we have a pretty strict 500 pages/£5 max. rule. There is a drama called Painkillers, on Netflix I think, about the drug situation referred to in the book.
On Saturday, DH and I met up with the Wee Boy and his Mummy and Daddy at our nearby country park. We had a visit to the rainforest centre there which included a 'handling session' with cockroaches, a tortoise and a snake! 🐍 Followed by a visit to the funfair, great fun! DH had his mobility scooter and I managed the walking although I was exhausted when we got home.
Today I went to morning Mass then visited my housebound ladies. Roast chicken dinner now and organising for our sail on the Waverley tomorrow, we're really looking forward to it.
TOYA, take care
