It made me chuckle too. Have had hearing aids for several years, and like many, probably, I was very reluctant to wear them to begin with, but as time marched on, so did my need for them grow, to the extent that just a day ago I found myself having a shower still wearing them. Fortunately I hadn't got as far as washing my hair!
