Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but with a grey sky over brackley this morning.
Today , my chiropodists will call this morning, having realised it was a doubled up appointment yesterday.
Then once done < I may go to Bicester on the bus , but return to watch the mens time trial on TV from Stirling.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from sunny Lancashire Mick and everyone.

It was very hot and sunny yesterday and quite an uncomfortable night. We have had some rain overnight and it is feeling hot and humid now, though cooler than yesterday.

The hypertension review went well. It was a new staff member, a very pleasant young lady. My BP is nice and low, she seemed a little concerned about this and was surprised to see how many meds I’m on. She asked me a lot of questions about dizzy spells and falls and I hope she doesn’t want to cut out any of my drugs. The present combination was arrived at after a lot of attempts and has worked well for me. In the afternoon we made yet another visit to the tip and I fitted a new CO monitor in the airing cupboard, which is actually a small room housing the boiler, water tank and central heating pump.

I have such an exciting life grin

Beautiful patchwork Grandmattie, you are so skilful.

Hope your DH heals well Sar53, sounds like a painful process.

Road hogs are the worst Marydoll, there is no need for such rudeness. Hope you have a good day with the little ones. You definitely have first dibs on the pram pushing to aid your mobility and prevent a fall!

Have a good day all whatever you’re doing. Enjoy that sunshine LadyLFL, though I guess it’s winter over there.

Welcome to the thread Fassie, hope your journey to Italy goes smoothly.

Thoughts to Kalu, Baggs, *Urms and all those with troubles 🌻

Good morning from a hot (32°)Algarve, I’v not caught up yet but popped in to tell Mick that the Volta de Portugal is on tomorrow and it will be being televised. I don’t know if you will be able to get it. It’s actually going past the end of our road but I certainly won’t be going down to watch it this time, I did quite a few years ago and even then felt it was an awful lot of standing around for a few minutes cheering on!

Welcome to Fassie, have a lovely holiday.

Georgesgran, I was sorry to see so many empty shops. It’s certainly not the place I remember from the 1960’s. I travelled to the city weekdays in the 60’s. Off to Seaton Carew today to see how it has changed.

Good day to Michael and all GNs . I’m very late on parade today as GS arrived very early, dropped off by his dad on the way to work and he has been labouring under the lash ever since, finishing off the gardening we started yesterday and then helping his dad skip some of the stuff that DD and I cleared out out of my garage. I’m just about to give him lunch and then he’ll be going home, bless him. He’s worked really hard the past couple of days.
Welcome Fassie!
Have a lovely afternoon, folks.

Alert
Put your brew or cafe down before reading this
(Names have been changed)
I met a friend while walking the dog day before yesterday and not having seen her for a few weeks, we spent a few minutes catching up.
I told her about my PF , “Oh “ she said,”Fred (husband ) suffers from that”
So far so good, when I asked how he was coping -as he is very athletic and active - and told her I was going to have the shock therapy treatment , she said “Fred has prickly balls”
Well, she is a little strait laced and almost certainly had no idea what she had said! I had to make such an effort not to snort and convulse with laughter, I was so tempted to say “Poor man, as if PF isn’t enough!”

Anyway, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Amazon (other suppliers are available) came yesterday and I now have prickly balls too.
Expressions of sympathy will be received in the spirit in which they are offered 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Another late one to this lovely thread. A quick wave to Mick and Annie.
We went out for coffee and a chat this morning and popped into a couple of shops, then home. I was absolutely whacked and promptly fell asleep for half an hour.
While having a late lunch, came back to find that Urms has posted. How lovely, and sending you gentle hugs.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks.

Foxygloves I too have prickly balls grin recommended by my physio for the drop foot. Old dryer balls work well too.

Good afternoon. I hadn’t intended to post as our cruise starts today and we are ensconced in our cabin waiting to sail at 5pm. But as I logged into the WiFi on board my iPad showed this thread and I saw Urms post. I can’t let the moment pass without sending my love and kind wishes to this one brave lady.

Foxygloves I've also got prickly balls - a Pilates teacher recommended them years ago ............................ hmm
Urms good to see you posting again. Keep strong flowers
