Good Morning Everyone,
Its just starting to become twilight but its dry as well this morning in brackley .
Today , my usual bus journey to Bicester , I used to like it when you had a half hourly service from Buckingham to Bicester as well .
Yesterday , posted on Facebook was an announcement of the death of a local Rock legend Bernie Marsden of Whitesnake fame, a guitarist who started in local bands in the 60`s.
Take Care,
Mick

I read the posts every day but usually in the evening,so don't normally post.Just wanted to say how lovely it was to seeUrms posting. DGD will be off to Uni in your neck of the woods soon, the one with a big swim club.
Hope you are having a lovely BD Beechnut
I don't post often on this thread, but just popped in to say hello to Urms good to see you posting again and to wish Beechnut a happy birthday.
Scapa I have photos somewhere in my phone's gallery of what I call 'sand ripples'. If I can find one I'll post it tomorrow - I think they're so lovely!
Spoke too soon - the rain’s coming down in stair rods here!
Is it just the North East? It’s every bl**dy day now!
to husband🙄
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Long journey yesterday plus roadworks for practice for next concert and I picked up the pianist’s full size electric keyboard as he refuses to play my piano (!) for our next run through here. Thankfully it fitted into my diddy car and I managed to get it out at home and stand it up in the garage in the meantime.
We had lunch by the river in Chester, Cajun chicken and I recorded our rehearsal. Playing back, it doesn’t sound too bad as I’m having too husband my resources now and I’m always hard on myself. It’s a nice not heavyweight programme.
Last night here we had a thunderstorm and there was an almighty thunderclap, I nearly jumped out of my skin, but the cat wasn’t bothered.
A big hello to Urms, thoughts to all with worries and I will read through ‘in depth’ later 🌹
Kittylester I am hoping for the best for your brother.
Good to see you Urms. 👋
Happy birthday Beechnut. 🎉
Good morning Mick, Annie and all. So many of you are such early birds. Up with, or even before the lark. I take a while to get going in the mornings, and do not wake early, hence my infrequent posts, but I do read every day.
LLFL enjoy your pudding and send best wishes to your friend. I am on a cancer treatment, but luckily it is not the brutal sort. Just makes me incredibly tired, with no energy.
I did make a beef curry last night, from scratch. It needed coconut milk, but said you could use dessicated coconut steeped in boiling water. Coconut duly steeped, then I strained the water straight down the sink! Oh well, I used the coconut instead. Bit grainy, but OK.
GrandMattie, here's hoping the furniture removal goes smoothly for you today.
Happy birthday Beechnut, and hello Urms, so lovely to 'see' you this morning.
Sago, I am so enjoying your holiday with the photos.
Glad to see you are still finding bargains Marydoll
Happy holidays to all who are off this weekend, or soon.
Have a good day one and all.
Good morning from a cloudy Shropshire.
Just wanted to send love to Urms,so nice to see you posting.
Day 11 of wearing my holter monitor, can’t wait to remove it on
Tuesday as the plaster is so itchy.
Fingers crossed it’s given some answers when I see the Consultant on sept7th
Hope for a walk later rain permitting and cricket to watch later.
Hope everyone has a reasonable day.
Couldn't pass by without wishing Urms a good morning. Good to hear from her.
Good morning from a wet Co Armagh
It’s a lot cooler , I’ve packed my case for my few days away , I might repack if this cooler weather is forecast !
Best wishes and hopes for all 🕯️🙏🏼
Late good morning from Durham. I’ve overslept, big time. Hope today’s weather is better than yesterdays. I looks quite good, for now. Car problem did nothing for my mood yesterday. Sorted by my old local garage as the Dealership was useless.
Little Dog going home today, then a pre-birthday meal and present swap with both DDs and I’ll sleep over at DD1s tonight.
👏🏻Urms and himself, of course.
Birthday wishes to some, safe travels to others, and …
Best wishes to all. X
Happy holiday Jacs7
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny north Kent.
Just about to start our nearly two weeks holiday. First week a cottage near Witney, so not too long a journey - traffic permitting.
Still a bit wobbly from Covid, so packed in drips and drabs so hope I have remembered everything. Cat is sitting in the corner looking at us from under her eyebrows as she knows she is off to the cattery in a few minutes and is planning a suitable retribution!
Lovely to see Urms. Birthday wishes to the birthday people; happy holidays to those setting off; commiserations and good wishes to those suffering and looking after poorly people.
Have a good day.
It's our charity fest today weather mixed trying to decide what to wear don't know which stall I am on until I get there. Happy birthday Beechnut. Lovely to see you posting Urms . Kitty hope op goes ok.
Good Morning to all, so many posts this morning, on page 3 already!
No real news so will send a Hello👋🏻 to Urms and a Happy Birthday 🍰🎂 greeting to Beechnut while I’m here. x
Good morning Mick and all. It's a cool 11° on the Angus coast, but expected to rise to 17°, which will do ne. I'm determinedly looking westwards to some blue sky and trying to ignore the cloud in the east which is obscuring the sun
Lovely to see you Urms, and happy birthday to Beechnut. Enjoy the warmth in Mallorca baubles. Love those windmills sago - what a glorious holiday you're having.
Safe sail back over to Ullapool Brook,
DD and New Man drove back up to Scotland last night and I shall be seeing them in Monday in Perth before they go back south again. DancingGD goes back to College for her degree year on Monday, hence DD's trip home. She'll then be up again for when DGD3 starts uni on September 11th, and then for my birthday at the end of the month. I've heard it said that your 40s and 50s are the hardest time of your life as you juggle so many things - certainly seems to be the case for DD.
Anyway, lovely Gardener will be here shortly so I had better dive showerwards - a bad night's sleep has led to a later Saturday start.
Enjoy your holiday weekend everybody and I hope there are not too many rained-off BBQs 🤞
Good morning from a brightening Black Country, where we had rain overnight.
Yearly Asthma check yesterday. Wasn't asked to do a peak flow, and she asked my height and weight, but didn't check! Then walked home via town to buy a few bits and bobs.
No real plans today except for some housework.
Happy Birthday Beechnut

Good to see you Urms we all hold you and your DH in our thoughts.
You are all such a lovely bunch of folk. xx
Good morning everyone 👋 a little sluggish here. I wish you all a wonderful Saturday.
Morning from a sunny S Hants, I hope it stays as we have family here for bbq later with the grandchildren staying overnight, but some damp expected about 2.
Happy birthday Beechnut enjoy your mystery birthday 🎂🎉🎈.
Have a lovely holiday Baubles, WWM2, just down the road and ginny. Your photos are brilliant Sago.
Special good morning to you Urms 🦩
Good morning from a dry NE, for now. Must be cool because the heating is on.
Torrential rain showers yesterday but we got home just before they started.
SIL found an enormous spider on the stairs and took it out of the house, last night I was watching TV when another spider ran across the floor and had to bend it's legs to get under the TV stand 😱 I did manage to catch it after chasing it all round the room.
Sister and BIL will visit this afternoon, he still has the leg brace on and is unable to drive.
Happy Birthday Beechnut.
