Terrible relationship with DIL - am I the problem?
When is Amol Rajan leaving the Today programme please?
A brighter start here in brackley this morning , here in brackley .
Today another recovery day , will be watching the Vuelta cycle race on TV later though .
Otherwise have a Wiltshire Farm meal later , as these seem to be benefitting my system as there just the right amount for me.
Take Care,
Mick
PS I got a new rubber shower mat yesterday average price around £6-7 but in B & M just under £3.

Just wanted to send loving thoughts toUrms today.
Late today had a good day serving at charity fest yesterday although we had horrendous downpour luckily most of our goods stayed.dry under gazebo .
Happy birthday Urms sorry you are feeling rubbish .
We are thinking of you Urms and I shall drink a toast to you both in cold cure
(Elderberry juice with cinnamon and honey but Ribena would work the same)
Not doing anything sadly. Not seeing anyone keeping my distance from everyone including Himself sadly as I’m full of a cold still. I feel ropey and sad. But thank you all very much for your kindnesses in thinking about me today.
x
Baubles hope you are flopping! Lovely pics
Stilllearning definitely let someone know about your DSis.
Scarpa lovely pics.
DH grannie was a proud Orcadian (Finnstown) and we've all enjoyed visits there.
Happy birthday to Urms hope you have a bottle of fizz chilling!1🍾🥂
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning Mick and all from cloudy damp Lancashire. It feels autumnal here this morning.
I am sticking to a strict eating plan as my stomach has been giving me a lot of pain and keeping me awake. The last couple of days it has been much better and I’m sleeping really well. If I’m tempted to eat anything ‘naughty’ I just have to remember how much it hurts if I do
. I’m not sure what hiatus hernia surgery involves but I’m doing my best to avoid it!
No real plans for today, the railway museum is running steam trains over the bank holiday and there’s a model railway exhibition on. We may stroll over and have a look.
As always thinking of all dealing with troubles.
Happy birthday to Urmstongran. Have a good day all whatever you’re doing🌻
Urms
🎉 Happy Birthday 🎉
Very atmospheric photos again scapa. Safe journey down the road.
Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
I had booked for a performance at our local theatre last night, one of my ex students was in it, but when the time came I decided not to go. It was a musical I didn’t fancy and being Saturday night/bank holiday weekend, parking could have been tricky. I like to support the theatre so don’t mind making a contribution.
Watched The Bookshop instead with Bill Nighy but dropped off to sleep, it’s rather boring.
Quiet day today, lovely pics here, I do love the Wye Valley and birthday greetings Urms
Hope you feel better soon Marydoll. Last day in Orkne have had a lovely time. Straight down the road tomorrow after ferry crossing obviously. Was an emotional day yesterday went to Warbeth Kirk yard to visit the graves of my grandparents, great grandparents and various aunts and uncles and did a bit of weeding. Island graves are difficult to maintain when all family have moved away. No crematorium here.
Afterwards had a lovely wander around Stromness which is where they are all from and my dad was born. He died there too, unexpectedly on a holiday while visiting his brother.
Will leave part of my heart here as always.
Could have been a TIA.
Definitely tell her family.
Good morning all from cloudy Mallorca.
Coincidentally Mick I’ve just asked if the hotel could get hold of a shower mat as it’s a little slippery underfoot
Your holiday looks amazing Sago, the type of exploring we’ve done many times. Unfortunately DH isn’t too mobile and my fitness isn’t what it used to be so we’re on a ‘Fly and Flop’ for the first time.
Photos of the view from our balcony.
Yesterday I seriously thought we wouldn’t make it as before we left the house I had a vertigo attack which came out of nowhere. Thankfully it eased off enough for me to get out and travel.
Today we are resting, a right pair of old crocks.
Thinking of you on your birthday Urms.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
still learning I agree with Grandmabatty - there's something not quite right there.
Stilllearning could be a uti which can cause confusion or something else. Definitely contact her family
Morning from grey S Lanarkshire, I hope the sun is shining for baubles. A quiet footery day for me, I went to a vigil mass last night to make sure of it!
I was a bit alarmed when I arrived at my sister in law’s yesterday. She was rather confused and said her head had been ‘funny’ all morning. She did remember I was coming but had difficulty organising the simple lunch we have together. When she left the kitchen to fetch something from another room I could hear her continue speaking as if she was unaware I wasn’t beside her. She returned to normal after about half an hour.
I’m not sure whether contacting family who see her regularly would be an over reaction.
Happy Birthday Urms 💐💐.
Have a good Sunday everyone.
Good Morning to all, and Happy Birthday wishes to Urms 🍰🎂 x
Sorry, finger slipped, posted too soon and flowers in the wrong place!
Interesting picture Sago, I did wonder what would happen if I went out into our town square and started lighting fires and cooking.
. It all looks wonderful.
Good morning everyone from a still grey Northampton, but the sun is.trying to peep through. I managed to avoid any showers yesterday on my trip out to Rushden Lakes. It was busy as usual there yesterday, and I had a good mooch around the shops, as well as a nice Italian lunch and wine. I tried a couple of dresses on, but wasn't struck by either of them, and came home empty-handed.
The rest of the Bank Holiday weekend stretches ahead, with no real plans to spend it other than on my own. Have no idea what family are doing. I may go to the cinema this afternoon, as there is an Agatha Christie film on (with Peter Ustinov as Poirot) that I haven't seen before. It will fill a few hours.
Wishing all a pleasant Sunday,.especially Urms, happy b
irthday!
May I wish you the very best of days today, Urms. Hugs and prayers.
