Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good Morning Monday 20th April 2026
difficult relationship with son
Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight but remains dry here in brackley at the moment.
Plans apart from general chores in my flat , will watch cycling unfold from Spain .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Disappointingly cloudy here in south Dartmoor. Sunshine was forecast so I hope it's true. Mundanely, I want to hang the washing out.
Happy bank holiday to everyone. For some reason I find bank holidays uncomfortable.
Oh good you are on your final 3 days 😀
Good morning from a sunny New Forest.
Yesterday we walked the dog off his paws and he is very stiff this morning, so we are having a relaxed morning, and see how he is as the day wears on.
ug belated Happy Birthday and sorry about your cold 3 days coming, 3 days here and 3 days going so 🤧🤞you are on your final 3 days and beginning to feel better.
Peace to all
Morning everyone! Just popping in to say thank you for all your good wishes. They mean a lot to me right now. I’m feeling so much better today I’ve finally turned a corner but Himself and I continue to be sensible by keeping apart. I really do not want him to catch this while he’s on chemotherapy.
He still makes me laugh. He said on Friday ‘you know all this distancing from one another will get us used to the idea for when we divorce’.
🤣💙
I hope you ALL enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday - whether you have plans or none. You are such nice people.
x
Good morning Mick and all from cloudy damp Lancashire. It rained heavily last night and it. Is drizzling right now.
My stomach is feeling OK and my sleep was undisturbed again last night.
Yesterday I got engrossed in following up a distant branch of the family tree. It appears to be a bit closer than I thought. No real plans for today, we shall see what the day brings.
Hope all goes well today DustyAngel.
As always thinking of all dealing with troubles.
Have a good day all whatever you’re doing🌻
Thank you for sharing your wonderful trip, Sago, you have given many of us so much pleasure and a chance to revisit some places we know we won’t go to again.
Washing machine full of towels but nothing else on the horizon for today and am tired of my own company. Shall ask a friend to have a cup of tea if she is free, and must pick some sweet peas which were late flowering and are now in overdrive.
DustyAngel. 🤞that all goes well for you both today.
Good morning Mick, Annie and all. I don't know whats wrong with the Wi-Fi, but it's like typing through treacle. Put in a word and it appears 10 seconds later. Then disappears altogether. It's a bit better now 🤞
GrandMattie, we had a lovely service at Church yesterday. All arranged by the stewards. The time shot by and it was time to go home.
Mizuna, that's one mad cat. Hope he as recovered and has a calm day, for all your sakes.
I am still enjoying your holiday Sago, and the latest stop over looks wonderful. Thanks for the pictures.
Urms, here's to a better day today. Thinking of you.
At the moment it is a sunny day here, so, if the energy allows, I will potter in the garden. There are always a few weeds lurking for me to find. Our Hibiscus tree is losing it's blossoms quickly this year, but the bees have had a field day and also enjoyed the lavender underneath. That will need to be cut back soon, but not just yet.
Have a good day one and all.
Good morning from an overcast Algarve, 24° at the moment and going up through the day.
Happy Bank Holiday to all in the UK.
It’s not a public holiday here and DH and I both have colonoscopies at about 4.30pm. Not wanting to get anything wrong we copied the online English instructions. They are completely different to the Portuguese ones!
As this clinic is in Faro and we are not allowed to drive after we’ve asked DH’s nephew to drive us but one of his dogs tripped him up yesterday and he’s badly bruised his ribs. (He first said he’d broken them but as he’s not seen a doctor and still hopes he will be better later, it seems likely that they might just be bruised.)
We have a friend on stand by. I want to go back to my original plan which was for DH to have the treatment today with me being the competent person taking him home (by taxi) but DH has been insistent that we do it this way.
I’ll let you know what’s happened tomorrow.
Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton; bank holiday Monday stretches ahead with no plans except to cut the back grass.
Enjoyed the Peter Ustinov film yesterday, an all-star cast (Diana Rigg, Maggie Smith, Jane Birkin, James Mason among others). The day out was spoiled by the trouble I had getting home..... Came out of the cinema 5.30, bus in 10 minutes.... No bus, no next bus either....Walked to a different stop to find they had unexpectedly changed the route, and the next bus wasn't due for another hour. I could have cried! I should have been home by 6.15, but eventually arrived at my door at 8pm... However I met three friends at the stop, which made the waiting a little more bearable.
Must make an effort and face the day; our local radio is having a 60s morning and have asked for requests - I have put one in for a Beatles number, so fingers crossed it will be played.
Thoughts with all feeling poorly, worried or on their own.
Good morning from a dull, & forecast to be dry, Sefton. Bit of a breeze so got some washing ready. ( Himself must have 100s of socks but never any clean ones. ) So now it's raining.🤷🏼♀️
No plans apart from a food shop. Perhaps a garden centre visit. Lots of flowers going over, need some autumn colour.
Take care all.
Good morning from the East Yorkshire countryside. There is a beautiful blue sky with a chill in the air. As I look out I can see a group of ducks overlooking the pond in front of us.
Up late today. It must be the fresh air as we sleep like logs when we are here. Yesterday we had a lovely afternoon with our friends who came over. The singer was very good and friend and I got up for a boogie! Sadly the singer had to cut her act short by an hour as it began to rain. We came back and had a cuppa and carried on chatting.
No plans for today it’s a do we or don’t we with the roads as we are on a main road to the coast and bank holiday and all that. We might do a couple of walks on site and then have lunch somewhere.
Love hearing about your travels Sago
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Beautiful sunny morning.
We don't have a holiday in Scotland.
I was awoken by a text from my lodger downstairs neighbour to say she'd been kept awake by a loud cistern flushing for hours.
I managed to stop it but these modern loos with no ballcock, are a fussy mess of plastic parts.
A funeral later on in Edinburgh and Peebles.
Yesterday I joined the Taizé singers in an ancient church. Lovely.
Hope everyone has a very nice day.
Love to the Urms family
Hotel looks like a very peaceful to be Sago.Last day of Gg staying Dd and partner due home today from a weekend away in Spain it will be very quiet here this evening .It's a lovely morning hope it stays that way.
Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Definitely a chill in the air.
From a quiet day yesterday to a quiet day today but neither of us seem to mind. DGS3 has arrived in France for his year at University there and from the pictures is settling in.
I hope you feel better Urms
Very best to all
Know just what you mean foxy, particularly Christmas. They really are just another day, but the inbred expectations make them hard. Just need to remember they only last 24 hours 😉😢
Lovely sunshine this morning after pouring with rain all night. Everywhere looks nice and fresh.
We have people going out this morning and people coming in to our holiday let so we will go and do a changeover then probably have a lazy day with possibly another walk on the coast. Maybe get some lunch out if it’s not too busy.
Taichinan
jaxjacky watch out for the daisies - they grow rampant here!
I don’t know about Bristol, but they were thuggish in Kent/Sandwich too!
Good morning Mick and everyone from lovely sunny Carlisle.
A quiet day here yesterday, reading, puzzling and continuing to sort out my stuff and actually chuck some things out. Plus I picked lots of runner beans to freeze. I've never done so well with them and they are still in full bloom and setting even more.
Today is a normal Monday for me...on with the laundry and out with the vacuum cleaner though I ought to go out for a walk in this lovely weather.
What on earth got into that cat Mizuna?! He's one lucky pussy.
I do hope you are feeling better Urms, best wishes to you and MrUrms.
Have a good day everyone!

Good morning all from Foxyland where it was sunny when I woke up but has clouded over now. After a bad Saturday night when I seemed to be awake and visiting the loo every hour (just to be on the safe side) I was determined to do better last night.
Two ibuprofen and a Piriton (the “drowsy” kind) did the trick and I slept through until 7!
I am surviving my “three Sundays in a row” better than I feared.
Rugby on Saturday (👏👏 🏴), knitting and The Lincoln Lawyer yesterday and today friends are picking me up to go to Oppenheimer this afternoon.
Birthdays are a trial when life is hard, and my thoughts were with you Urmston. Somehow we feel deep down inside that we should feel happy on a birthday which serves only to highlight the sadness of reality.
Best over (like Christmas and New Year)
Wishing you all a pleasant day with kind thoughts to all who are ill, in pain, with worries or caring for others dear to them.
I meant to thank you Taichinan for prompting me to order some wild poppy seeds, now done, along with seeds for Oxeye daisies too.
Meant to say, Sago what an absolutely stunning looking hotel.
We have been to Malaga often, but never Ronda. Will be showing the link to the Hotel to MrJ
Good Morning everyone from a mostly cloudy Severnside. I’ve had crumpets for breakfast for a change.
Would that be Tyndale you can see Roses? Your hotel does look a lovely place Sago.
As it’s forecast to be dry all day I think I’ll put some weatherproof stain on the garage window and side door. I am starting to seriously think about getting a new door. I’ll tidy up the patio while I’m at it.
I hope the poorly people feel better today and everyone gets some enjoyment out of the bank holiday 🌺
