A lady suffering from a variety of symptoms was found to have a worm in her brain. See the story from the Guardian. She is now recovering.

There’s a message there ‘wash what you forage’ I know it’s Australia, but it’s still good advice.

It’s sounds as though she’s doing well now, and has had a good response to treatment.

It was from a Carpet Python. They were in the grass around her property. She collected this grass.
The Doctor thinks this is where it came from.

Yes, there are pythons in Australia, several different species in fact. They can become very large indeed.

They think the grasses she ate had python faeces on them which contained the roundworm eggs.
