Good morning. Coffee break outside in the shade watching the butterflies. Back to insurance admin after that then planting strawberry runners under the parasol.

Have the best day you can.

Good morning Mick and all from a warm, dull northwest coast.
Concert went off well, although there was a slip up re programmes and I had to announce each itemโ€ฆ
Nice meal afterwards, but too much and I brought some home with me. My pianist friend has seen a detached house he would like to buy around the corner from his present house. His own is such a mess it will lower the price and would be seen as a โ€˜projectโ€™. I wouldnโ€™t like to take it on.

So sorry you are having problems Mick and good advice from grans here.
Thoughts as always to all with troubles ๐ŸŒน

mamaa Thu 07-Sept-23 10:52:42

All the best ๐Ÿฅ‚on your special โค๏ธ day to Urms and Himself xx
Mick Iโ€™ve pmโ€™d you.
Have as good a day as you can all, and โ€˜chillโ€™ if you can out of the heat and the sun. โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ

Wishing the Urmstons a very happy anniversary.

I cried off my coastal walk today as my hip hurt just walking across my kitchen.

However I am sitting in the garden enjoying the late roses and all your posts

gillgran Thu 07-Sept-23 10:41:05

Good Morning from a very hot N.,Cambs., sunshine

All Best Wishes to Urmstongran & your husband on your anniversary. xx wine flowers

Auntieflo Thu 07-Sept-23 10:33:52

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is jolly hot here already. I was going to have breakfast in the garden, but the sun had not quite gone from my special spot, so had it indoors instead.
First though, many congratulations to the Urms. Have a good day together, whatever you decide to do, or not do ๐Ÿ˜˜
Foxygloves, please tell us where the meringues were hiding, you can't leave us hanging in suspense.
Sorry to hear that the problems are still continuing GrandMattie. You will get to the bottom of it, eventually. But at what a cost!
I like the sound of your Elderberry cordial, very much Greyduster. My neighbour, at the bottom of the garden, has an elderberry, but I don't think I could reach them without doing myself an injury. .
Marydoll, chin up. No wallowing, that's not you at all. But I do know how you feel. Thank you, I have had a couple of good days. Went out on Tuesday and met up with a lovely group of friends. Then yesterday, a couple came for coffee, and we nattered non stop for hours. Today is a 'nothing' day, and tomorrow the volunteer gardeners are due. Last time they were rained off, but ๐Ÿคžfor tomorrow.
WWM2, hope you are not too badly bruised and battered.
It's nice to see LauraNorderr posting, as I have missed her.
I shall also miss Sago's wonderful pictures and descriptions of their holiday.
Off to see what the day may bring.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning from a very misty Eden. Our home town was on the local news last night and we planned a trip to see the fantastic sunsets they get and a Fish and chip supper. All cancelled because of the weather forecast.
Farmers were working after midnight they knew something we didn't.
I hope all feel better today and get help where needed , Happy wedding anniversaries ,I got gales at mine in late June .
Safe journey home SAGO,,we have friends who did the pilgrimage and said they met very interesting people on the way.
Have a good day all,Bella.
Let's hope the sunshinecomes out for us all.

Good morning all from another beautiful sunny day in Glasgow. A high of 27deg yesterday, cooling in the evening is bearable and still cool indoors.

We had a blood moon last night karma possibly a connection to the Sirocco orange wind which descended, usually overnight in August covering everything outdoors with orange sand when we lived in S Provence.

DD1 and GD1 have both tested negative now although they are both feeling washed out. A persistent lingering cough causing broken sleep isnโ€™t helping either.

Happy Anniversary Mr&Mrs Urms ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ’. Enjoy celebrating your special day together. โ™ฅ๏ธ

A Waitrose shop later for me but meanwhile, we are enjoying a sunny day.

Warm wishes to all for a good day.

Happy Anniversary to Urms and her DH xx

Sar53 Thu 07-Sept-23 09:50:05

Karmalady we also bought the freehold (9 flats) and are now shareholders. Our management company is limited with DH and myself as Directors. We do all the work, organising everything and I do the bookkeeping. It works for us but I know buying the freehold is not possible for some.

hulahoop Thu 07-Sept-23 09:47:04

Happy Anniversary Urms enjoy your day whatever you are doing.
Sorry to hear you are feeling down it's understandable .
We have nothing planned today has usual finding hip problem making me low ,I know I should count my blessings !Have safe journeys those who are travelling.

karmalady Thu 07-Sept-23 09:42:28

Agree with sar. We (41 properties} bought the freehold. We became shareholders and started our own management company. Every group has a `right to manage` but it does take a couple of people not prepared to sit back and leave it to others.

To save on work, the management co now employs the services through a company but management co holds the reins

Nothing more you can do GM, except find the list of directors via companies house and then become a real thorn to every individual by sending letters and e mails to get that bathroom job done asap, always keeping copies
