I loved her first book and I’ve ordered he second book.

She doesn't need to shock with her puerile language like a six year old boy who's just learnt that words like poo, bum and fart will shock Nanny.
She's talented and I like her and her work when she's not showing off like that.

I think she’s pathetic. Like a young child who has learned some naughty words and is out to shock. Revolting woman.

She was superb in Ladies in Lavender - spot on for the part.

I think she has talent, and she may be a very nice person. I just don't think I'd want to be in her company for more than an hour or so. She was very funny in Blackadder, and as Nurse in R&J. I've seen her in other things, and she is good when she is playing a role. I think when she is 'playing herself' she is OTT though.

I can understand your crush, AS - she does have lovely eyes.

I’ve been lucky enough to see some of her theatre work in the 80s and 90s and she definitely has talent in spades - what a shame that women her age don’t get the kind of roles anymore that can showcase it.

I like her, and think she is funny.

I’ve enjoyed some things she’s been in e.g. The Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries, but I don’t like her language.

I neither like nor dislike her as I don't know her, but I wouldn't want to be around her for very long, as I find loud, brash people tiresome, particularly when they name drop and push themselves forward all the time.

Are you the thread police, Meryl? I am as entitled to an opinion as you are. Just because we have different opinions doesn’tt make either of us right or wrong.

I saw MM in her one-woman Dickens show and she was so good in that. I think she is very clever and talented but I find her crudeness rather tiresome. She reminds me of a small child going through the poo/wee/fart stage that they usually grow out of.

I read an interview with her recently talking about her weight, where she was very honest about being fat - yes, she used that word. I think it’s brave of her to come out and say something like that.

Please don’t debase the word Brave in relation Miriam Margolyes.

I really dislike her

I have tried to watch her travel programmes (the one in America was of particular interest to me) but it was not for me. Whenever she takes part in an interview it seems to become crude rather quickly - and I'm just too much of a prude I'm afraid.
So, no, not for me.

Can’t stand her, awful woman

She does not shock me she wouldn't intimidate me I'm just not a fan.

I find everything about this woman absolutely disgusting.

The image of her filthy trainers ( Best Marigold Exotic hotel) showed me her cleanliness standards. 😱
