My sister and I are addicted to this game. I also play at a cafe with other like minded people. In fact I play at a social group too or anytime I can rope someone into having a game.
Hoping I can get the grandkids to play at Christmas.😊

I thought I would bump this up for you, as I know that there are players of Rummikub on Gransnet. I have never tried it myself.

We love it, play at least once a week, every day if the grandchildren are here.
We play for fun and don’t set time limits.

It’s a great game, easy to learn and very addictive!

Is it much the same as the card game Rummy? Is it more fun?

We are fans too. Have introduced it to friends and family and they all love it too.
It’s much better than the rummy card game,

It’s a great game. We used to play it a lot in the caravan but haven’t played for a while. DS1 and I love it.

I entered a newspaper competition years ago, answering a question about Rummikub, and was then drawn out to play against three other people in the window of our local W H Smith. I was so nervous as I’d never played and had to buy a set and learn the game beforehand. smile Somehow I came second, and the two of us had an expenses paid day down in London taking part in the first national Rummikub championship, where I finished sixth. There were prizes for the top four, and the winner went on to the world championships in Israel. The rest of us went home with a goody bag. The event had a lot of press publicity, including a half page feature in the Guardian - the chap who beat me in the local event featured in it, as he had a very interesting background.

I haven’t played for years, but I’m going to dig my set out now and see if I can beat any of the grandsons!

It is strangely addictive. I'm glad our grandson, now 9, can play - and sometimes win!

(I've just realised I joined Gransnet just before he was born, so I've been here nearly 10 years!)

As it’s usually only two of us here we have played by taking two tiles each time instead.
