Today is a very sad day

Very sad day for you and the family. . I know. We had to do it for our beautiful softie Rottweiler. Called the vet to the house - all of us were beside her to say our goodbyes and of course, we were crying. But the Vet and his Asst were so disrespectful. As they carried her out to the Van, they were joking and laughing. Not very professional.

So sad for you but the right time to say goodbye, I’m sure he has had the most wonderful life with you.

Such a terrible decision to make Katek but it is made out of love for your beautiful Boy.

It's the hardest part of having a pet...to know when it's time to let them go but it is also the kindest and final gift we can give them...in thanks for all the love they give to us. All of us will be with you in spirit today.

My nephew was very upset when his 18 year old cat had to be PTS a few years ago. She was having fits and had become blind. He swore he would not get another cat. Then one of his friends brought him a ginger kitten in a box and he could not refuse. Today the kitten has grown into a lordly big ginger cat with the usual stripy tail.

Even though you know it is the kindest thing to do it still hurts. I have held each of our cats as they received the injection because it seemed important that they knew they were loved right to the end. DH could not get out of the car! Today will be so sad.

I've had to have 3 cats put to sleep. The oldest was 20, like your lovely mog. A horrible business but you're doing the right thing. All best wishes.

I’m so very sorry, Katek - I do know how painful and what a horrible decision it is. 💐
Once had to go through this with both cat and dog within 6 weeks, having had both for over 14 years.
The only comfort is that you’re doing the kindest thing for your pet.

Oh he's beautiful. Know how you feel, I had an old stray he eventually trusted me enough to come indoors. He slept in a basket back of the dining room. He passed away in the night, couple of years ago. I was heartbroken. 💐.

It’s a huge chunk of your life. We’ve had to do it with a cat, several dogs and 2 horses and it never gets easier. Just focus on the good times you had and know that he had the best life with you.

My thoughts are with you. I remember when the time came for Shosar, Rupert and finally Jemima. All dearly loved cats. I remember each one with love, as you will remember your lovely boy cat.

I'm so sorry and thinking of you today. We had to do this for our dear old boy 6 weeks ago and it left me heartbroken 💔. But remember you are doing the last kindness you can for him after a wonderful life 💐

My heart goes out to you but you have given him his best life , and when you think about it, to fall asleep in the arms of those you love and who love you best is a privilege not granted to many of us.
