I am sitting in the kitchen looking out of a large window, watching th trees swaying in the breeze, with just a hint of yeloow about them.

The rain is sluicing down, I can hear it as it hits the windowpanes. and the water is dripping off next door's roof. The lawn is completely green again.

After all those windless relentless days of sun and no movement, it is lovely to see nature alive again.

Come the weekend I will start wearing winter clothes and we will stop eating salads and return to soup, sandwiches and baked potatoes.

Isn't it marvellous that summer is over!

I’m already missing summer . I got caught in a shockingly heavy shower of rain yesterday. I was just coming out of a shop when the heavens opened. I would have turned back into the shop for shelter but there was young learning disabled woman standing in the middle of the pavement in a panic. She was 20 yards from her bus stop and she was too upset to walk any further as she thought she was going to blow over. I gave her my arm and walked her to the bus shelter at her very slow pace. In that time my clothes were soaked through to my skin.

I saw her safely onto her bus and decided to keep going to my car as there wasn’t much point sheltering when I was already drenched. Just for good measure while I was waiting to cross the road a car drove through a big muddy puddle and it engulfed me 😂

We were in a restaurant just finishing our meal when the heavens opened. An excellent reason for ordering another cup of coffee and staying there for another half hour.

We were in the conservatory and we were surrounded by the deluge, pounding on the clear plstic roof as well as the huge windows. It was quite exciting and exhilerating.

I love lying cosily in bed and listening to the wind a rain outside knowing I don't have to go out in it.

I love all the seasons they each bring a joy. The only thing I struggle with is the cold as I’m still working and spend outdoors with the kids. Love the Christmas build up too!

That was a kind thing to do Grannynannywanny things like that which happen unexpectedly can be quite scary if you are less able.

Glorious weather yesterday, sunny and warm while I was walking to the nearest small supermarket, but once again the dark grey clouds were looming as I started for home - so I got the bus back. Got a bit wet from bus stop to front door, but nothing like the soaking the other day.,

Sunny and blue sky again today, but only 10.3 outside the kitchen window (no sun on it.)
