Good Morning Everyone,
A dark and dry start here in brackley this morning.
This last day or so I have been using the branded Imodium capsules as opposed to in store Loperarmide capsules ,and a slight difference at the moment .
Today usual bus trip this morning , after some housework as hopefully health wise things are getting better .
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 15°C.
I have had the most awful night, with little sleep.
I had severe chest pain and was sure I was having another heart attack. Fortunately it was indigestion!! That is a relief, I have too much to do today. 😉

Yesterday's idea of making multiple Dorset apple cakes wasn't the brightest of ideas. I'm not even sure what it should look like. I thought it looked quite heavy, but DH said it tasted fine. Damned by faint praise indeed!
If I never see another apple, it will be too soon. However, I still have lots left.
DH and I may go looking for brambles to make bramble and apple jelly.

I have to do a supermarket shop today, because I felt too unwell on Friday, that will be after morning Mass. I received a message yesterday that the rota in the sacristy didn't match the one I emailed to everyone, so I need to check. I appear to have lost the plot, not for the first time recently.

Best wishes for your sister, WWM and congratulations to your DGD. Baubles hang on in there, nearly there, hoping your DH is feeling a bit better.

Have a good day folks, enjoy being chauffeured Corner!

Oops sent that too quickly!! Early for me. Yesterday was a quiet day I made good inroads into Peter James last book. I do like him as Grace. Today we are just about to leave for our COVID and flu jabs. We have to go to the community hospital seven miles away. Will catch up with all your posts later.

Good morning all and the sun has just broken through here on the Suffolk coast. The wind yesterday was very strong but has died away now. The forecast for this week is rain and strong winds, but this little corner of England seems to miss a lot of it.

Dh stood on the very small wall surrounding our rockery and the bricks gave way. I found him on the ground but no real injury, just a bruised knee. Another ‘little job’ ! 😬. It’s like the forth bridge up here - ! Things tend to gang-up on us.

Today , we’ll probably walk in the forest and hopefully see all the autumnal colours.

Safe and problem-free journey home Ash.
Ditto Brook.

I will sit in the summerhouse and re- read my book club book. Meeting is on Thursday and I read the book a few weeks back and must refresh my memory. My new book ‘Conclave’ is looking good, Marydoll., I belong to two book clubs - one up here and one back ‘home’ and I do get a little confused at times. 🤯🤣.

I hope you all have a ‘good’ day 🌻

Gala Mon 25-Sept-23 07:59:37

Good morning from a brightening Sefton. It's also cool & breezy. The dog walkers have their "big coats" on. Definitely an autumnal feel in the air.
The pharmacy was full yesterday morning as we all awaited our Covid jab. The alternative would have been queueing outside the doctor's ..... no doubt in the rain. I have had no reaction, not even an aching arm.
Singing group this morning. We have reached full capacity of 40 members which is all we're allowed in the room we hire. This is a shame as we are having to turn people away & are finding it impossible to find a larger venue. A visit to the hairdressers this afternoon, I hope the wind dies down as I walk there.
Thoughts & ((hugs)) for those struggling with life.

Good morning a dry but breezy day here

Good morning all from the Black country where it rained overnight but it looks like it will be a nice day sun is breaking through.
No plans as yet will see how I feel after breakfast.
GM have fun at toddlers DiL as asked me to help at our toddlers on Wednesday have said yes.
Ash well done to your DGD and safe journey home to you both.
Tummy rumbling so will get something to eat and catch up with everybody's happenings later.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Foxygloves what a lovely surprise

Foxygloves Mon 25-Sept-23 07:42:47

Good morning all from Foxy-land on actually the 25th of September (my late FIL’s “birthday” he’d have been 110)
Yesterday’s lunch in London was a lovely surprise for my sister in law who had just thought she had been asked out by D2 and SIL and found us all there when she arrived.
Well not quite all. The reason for the choice of Brazilian bar became apparent when our niece from Sao Paolo walked through the door too ! D2 and SIL had kept this a total secret from all of us. Our niece is a lovely woman, a talented artist with a big heart. (She even made a special visit to MK hospital a few months before DH died when on a flying visit to Europe . How his face lit up when he saw her!)
My BIL had not had his 2 “girls” together since that year which was especially lovely. (He had not been in on the secret either).
So we drank Caiparinhas and ate tapas type food which just kept coming before moving on to the nearby park to let the little boys and my London niece’s miniature dachshund Neville, as in Longbottom, have a run around, while the grown ups drank coffee and we all ate ice creams.
Quiet morning today then a group of us from Art History are taking one of our number out to lunch as it was her birthday last week.
With kind thoughts to all who are poorly, absent or beset by worries for their loved ones.

Good morning everyone from a brightening Northampton; fine weather forecast today, so I shall cut the back grass this afternoon. I too have all my windows misting over, a sure sign of autumn.

Didn't do a lot yesterday, spent most of it watching rugby! DS called for younger DGD's blazer, (my assistance was.needed to sew on a new badge); and then my neighbour came round to collect a winter coat of late DH; she works for a local homeless charity and had put out a request for winter clothing. Think DH had only worn it a couple of times, and it was doing no good sitting in the wardrobe. I still have a couple of sheepskin coats which no-one seems to want.

Yoga this morning, and then home.for coffee and a bit of gentle pottering, before I venture into the back garden after lunch.
An easy tea of gammon steak and pineapple.

Well done to your DGD, Ash; my elder DGD is also in professional panto again this year; she is nearly 16, and this will be her 9th panto!

Wishing all a pleasant Monday.

harrigran Mon 25-Sept-23 07:28:49

Good morning from a sunny NE after a night of heavy rain and wind.
Slept badly as both my shoulders are sore. I went for my covid vaccination and they gave me the flu one too.
SIL went home early to talk to DD on Skype, she is waiting for biopsy results and today may be the day.
I am going to have a quiet day.
Have a good day all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 25-Sept-23 07:27:43

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Another Monday! The usual Waitrose shop this morning. I will then take my car to Oxford for its annual service and MOT. If it passes I can tax it. Have a good day everyone, especially those of you having difficulties.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 25-Sept-23 07:26:09

Good morning from a bright South Downs.

Off to Chichester later with sister and BiL. We will drop them off at the hospital, then go and eat somewhere - maybe at Cote as it is easy enough there. There is a restaurant near the theatre, but isn’t much if it, and The Ivy has gone downhill. Dropping the dog off at our sons on the way as he lives north of Worthing. He said that he would bring the dog to my sisters as we drop her off tonight.

Tiring day, so nothing else planned, except maybe a potter in the garden, or sit on the seat in the sun.

Peace and harmony all

Grandmadinosaur Mon 25-Sept-23 07:24:39

Good morning from the East Yorkshire countryside. There has been rain overnight but it looks bright and a decent day ahead.
DH has just left for home. We are having a large window replaced in the living room so he has gone to meet the workman arriving at 8 o’clock. Should take a few hours so he will be back about lunchtime. Currently I’m enjoying tea in bed. I’ll wash my hair when I get up and potter this morning. Might go for a walk for some fresh air.The coffee shop here doesn’t open on Mondays and it’s quite a walk to the one on the next park to ours. Home later and prepare for a busy week.

Susan glad the party went well. What a great photo it really captures the excitement.

Safe journey home brook

A proud grandma Ash you have a talented GD

kittylester Mon 25-Sept-23 07:17:27

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

The tiler is coming today! Even I am bored with my morning posts now.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Pittcity Mon 25-Sept-23 07:15:55

Good morning from Colchester where the sun has just peeked over the horizon. A dry day here with a high of 22°.
I am feeling better after the Covid booster knocked me for 6 yesterday.
This and that today, but I'll certainly get some washing on the line and get out for a walk.
Love to all 🦩 x

Grandmabatty Mon 25-Sept-23 07:09:12

Brook safe journey home

brook2704 Mon 25-Sept-23 07:06:14

Good morning everyone from a sunny and warm Basel
Such a lovely idea for the tree and waving hand gMattie I hope the painting hands go well
That’s a great photo Susan love the shark outfit!
We had a really happy day yesterday, a walk up in the mountains to a scenic restaurant for lunch and then a walk back down again. If only I could have taken you with us as interpreter Marydoll it would have been lovely!
DS and partner have just now left for work so we’re packing up soon and heading to the airport for our flight back to Edinburgh. All being well we’ll be back in Inverness late this evening
Well done to your DGD Ash you must be very proud
Safe travels to all those on the move today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Jacs7 Mon 25-Sept-23 07:02:41

Morning everyone from a cloudy north Kent. No rain here which I am pleased about as I sealed the patio and path yesterday ready for the winter and it needs dry conditions to set itself.

Apart from that I did a bit of general tidying, but there’s nothing much else to do until the dahlias die back. Watched the rugby; good to see Wales and England doing well.

Today I am off to my art group; first week using oil pastels; not my favourite medium, but I really enjoy the class and the company so will enjoy a chat and a coffee whilst doing arty things.

That party looks fun Susan56; the shark looks fearsome and expect there was a lot of screaming and running!

Hope you all have a good day

karmalady Mon 25-Sept-23 07:00:14

Good morning,s somerset has started to light up to a bright cheery day, Outside is very damp, condensation is all over the outside of every window

Lanes will be mucky after all the rain, so exercise will just be a brisk walk later, easier to clean my shoes than my bike and later some sewing. I cut up my precious quilted fabric yesterday and the garment is underway. Very tricky to do as it is very thick

This week is very quiet but I shall finish bedding down the garden and maybe wash windows and cills

Have a good day

baubles Mon 25-Sept-23 07:00:03

Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.

My last Monday at work, therefore my last weekly regional Teams meeting, I won’t miss that.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Mizuna Mon 25-Sept-23 06:55:13

Good morning from Cornwall where sun is promised but right now it's dark and damp underfoot. Dug out my winter ankle boots yesterday and smiled to see them, so comfy.

Unexpected meal at Wetherspoon's with my youngest son and 13-year-old grandson last night. Such a lovely atmosphere, like being in someone's lounge. So many of us know each other. Lots of laughter hearing about my son's nighttime Taxi Driver Tales.

Today coffee with a friend of 40 years, at a store that gives a weekly free coffee to over 60's. Also a monthly discount on anything in the store for us, so I save money on flooring, electrical goods etc. while shopping locally, win win.

My six-year-old grandson had his first friendly football match yesterday and apparently played well, according to the match report. How quickly they grow up.

Susan56 Mon 25-Sept-23 06:36:09

Congratulations to your DGD Ash.

I am so glad you found the service to be a comfort multi💐

Susan56 Mon 25-Sept-23 06:34:10

Good morning from Shropshire.

He’s party went really well.We were very lucky with the weather as although the forecast was dreadful it was warm and dry for the duration of the party. The theme was sea creatures as that is H’s passion. The highlight for the children was SIL coming out in an inflatable shark costume chasing them round the garden and jumping on the trampoline and bouncy castle with them all!

We are both tired after a hectic weekend and had planned a quiet day but as it is going to be dry and sunny I think laundry and gardening will have to be done.

Safe travels home Ash and olddudders.

Have the best day you can everyone🌺🦩

Grandmabatty Mon 25-Sept-23 06:28:08

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13°, windy and dry, although we had rain overnight. Ash well done to your dgd. Will you be able to see her in the panto? GrandMattie that sounds like an excellent activity for the toddlers!
Yesterday, after the boys went home, was quiet. I visited mum at night and she was slightly better.
Today is back to childcare. Fortunately dd doesn't need to go into her office today, so it isn't as long a day as most Mondays. Nursery drop off and pick up and playing with dgs2. No idea what we'll do. The weather isn't promising but he will want out for sure. Have a good day all
