Good Morning Everyone,
Dark but remains dry here in brackley this morning.
Today is my domestic day , laundry etc, before I settle down and watch TV later .
I am hoping this coming Sunday to see ABB voyage on a coach trip to the arena situated in the Olympic park in Stratford East London .
Take Care,
Mick

No results for a couple of weeks yet. Thank you all though for your kind supportive thoughts during an anxious wait time.

If ten dancers had to spin each each of the others only once how much were the bananas?.

Stilllearning, I'm sure there is a formula for that. I just can't remember it! wink

🎉 Happy Birthday Grandmadinosaur and NanKate cupcake

A late good morning from South Lanarkshire, very still here, don’t know if any storms heading this way, my exercise class starts again this afternoon with accompanying blether so I do hope not.

Happy birthday Grandmadinosaur and Nankate and kind thoughts to Grandmabatty, tough times for you just now, please take as much rest as you can, it will help.

A challenging morning yesterday with two youngest grandchildren who were off school because of strikes again.
They had to log in to school at 9 o’clock and carry out quite a lot of work on their tablets. Neither was keen to put it mildly and I got quickly bogged down in my weakest area, ‘ If ten dancers had to spin each each of the others only once how much were the bananas’😂

I’m assuming from one or two posts that the Urmstons. are getting results today? As ever my thoughts are very much with them.

Grandmachrisy47 Wed 27-Sept-23 10:38:07

Good morning Mick and all from grey cloudy windy Lancashire where it is currently 13°C.

The weather forecast is not good, Storm Agnes will be visiting us later. Mr B has an appointment with the nurse at 10:30 for a review, hopefully we will be snug at home before Agnes arrives.

Wishing everyone a good day 🌻

Happy Birthday NanKate and Grandnadinosaur

Grandmadinosaur Wed 27-Sept-23 09:07:38

Good morning all from a damp and breezy Glasgow.

No idea why the road sweeper was out this morning as the streets have been washed and cleaned with the torrential rain we have had recently. Hairdressers today for a tidy up.

Happy birthday NanKate and Grandmadinosaur. 🎂

Have a pleasant day all.

grandMattie Wed 27-Sept-23 08:54:47

🎂 happy birthday to Nankate and Grandmadinosaur.

NanKate Wed 27-Sept-23 08:52:03

Good morning Mick and All from a cloudy south Bucks hopefully sunny later.

Thank you Grandmadinosaur Mary and all you other lovely Gransnetters. I’m 77 today Mary so not the significant one yet 😀. Meeting up with the family half way between us at NT Polesden Lacey for a celebration on Sunday if they have recovered from the horrid Covid!

DH is cooking me a delicious venison steak tonight, Yum as my eldest grandson would say.

GrannySomerset Wed 27-Sept-23 08:50:25

Craft this morning and singing this afternoon, so a busy and sociable today beckons. Looks as if we will miss the storm, for which I am glad, though I do enjoy a good one from safely indoors. Hope those who are visited are not too troubled.

Jacs7 Wed 27-Sept-23 08:49:52

Good morning everyone from the north Kent coast where it is cloudy but dry. Still quite warm so I have delayed changing my summer wardrobe for my winter one.

Yesterday DH and I had a pleasant walk along the seafront where the sea was very blue and calm; felt more like June than the end of September. We then tackled our application for a US visa ready for our cruise in the new year. Very frustrating with lots of muttering and chuntering as the site continually rejected the uploaded passport picture, but eventually the wretched site accepted and approved my application for a visa. We couldn’t face doing it all again, so will go into battle this morning to get DH’s application accepted.

This evening we are off to meet up with DD and family for a meal before going to the light display at Canterbury Cathedral; we went last year and it was spectacular so hoping this year is equally as good.

Happy birthday to those celebrating; hope you have a great day. Hope those on holiday and enjoying a few days away have good weather.

Have a good day
.

hollysteers Wed 27-Sept-23 08:47:37

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Really nice day yesterday, I enjoyed being back at the music club, on the desk and met a guitarist who would like to accompany me.
Then I had my flu jab, but now have an extremely sore right shoulder, the opposite side to the jab and kicked off before it. Nothing to do with it but very painful. I got up in the night and put a hot pad on it. There’s always something. If it’s not cramp, something else. I’m due to go to a lunchtime concert so will battle on.

Spent time yesterday fixing up cremation certificate and death certificate against taking some of DH ashes to the Isle of Man on Monday. Death certificate not in its usual place, so a bit of bother around that.
Birthday greetings Grandmadinosaur and NanKate and thoughts to Urms grandmabatty and all with worries.

aggie Wed 27-Sept-23 08:47:16

Good morning everyone, not great weather here , the power has blinked and been off for a few minutes already , Agnes is here !
However I’m off to our club shortly, hoping the heating is working , I don’t feel cold but some of our fragile members are susceptible to chills

Taichinan Wed 27-Sept-23 08:36:52

Good purchase Pittcity - my (Amazon) Oodie type garment is saving me a small fortune in electricity bills!

Ashcombe Wed 27-Sept-23 08:34:20

Dear Grandmabatty, we do all feel for you and will understand if posting on here isn't possible for a while. We shall miss your thoughtful comments as you always find time to comment meaningfully on the news from others.

I take off my hat to you and other grans involved in childcare, especially when you have responsibility for ageing relatives as well. Please take good care of yourself.

Birthday happys to Grandmadinosaur and NanKate!

Taichinan Wed 27-Sept-23 08:29:09

Good morning Mick and All from a sunny-but-chilly Angus coast.
Grandmabatty you are having such a hard time just now - I do feel for you. Remember to take time for yourself. Much love.
I hope your meeting with Mr Teflon has some effect grandmattie, but I rather feel anything you say will just deflect off his non-stick coating. So frustrating and infuriating for you. I'm glad your daughter is going to be with you.
Happy Birthday to Grandmadinosaur and Nankate today. Have a lovely day. It's my turn on Friday - and isn't it funny that after all these years we still feel a frisson of excitement at the prospect 😊
Like you Bluesapphire I am considering activating the washing machine - it's supposed to stay dry here til mid afternoon, so I think I'll chance it.
Stay safe from Storm Agnes everyone. Thoughts with those going through tough times - have the best day you can x

Alygran Wed 27-Sept-23 08:25:48

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Bright and breezy with storms to come later.
Happy birthday Nankate and Grandmadinosaur
A bit of housework this morning then heading up to Teesside where a close friend is in hospital. Her DH has a cold so isn’t visiting.
Thinking of the urms
Take care everyone.

Gingster Wed 27-Sept-23 08:21:22

Good morning all and it’s ok weatherwise here at the Suffolk seaside.
Yesterday was another beautiful day and we walked along the river from Iken to Snape Maltings. About 2 miles. Had a very nice coffee and met a book club friend .
The walk back was very slow and I abit too much for Dh. I can’t believe he’s like this. Before lockdown he was playing golf 3 times a week and also tennis once a week. He won’t do anything about it , so ……..! 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Today I’m meeting Liberty for coffee and cake. Really looking forward to it.👋.

Happy birthday Grandmadinosaur and Nankate. 💐💐.

Grandmabatty - you’re having a tough time . I hope your db is on your side. 🤞. Take some time for yourself. 💐.

Good luck with Mr. Teflon GM . He doesn’t know who he’s up against.😉.

Love and good wishes to you all 🌻
