If you have forgotten to take a bag or do not keep one in your handbag (I always have at least one in my handbag, usually more) M & S sell reusable bags along with plastic bags for life

Anything that cuts down on packaging is good as far as I am concerned.

Do they really still sell bags for life?

I remember 30 years ago shops insisted you have the goods in a bag and I always refused! So I've been taking my own bags ever since and I can't see what the problem is. Just take your own bags.

Oh no. The thought that someone might see that you buy knickers and bras 😱 It doesn’t bear thinking about.

Not everyone remembers to keep folded bags about their person when going out😄
Also, many times you don’t know if you’re going to buy something.
For those poor unfortunate bagless people then a company who supplies compostable bags at the till would be a company who actually cares about the customer.I won’t hold my breath.

Yes I’ve got a small foldable bag I keep in my handbag too must remember to keep it with me now.

I picked up knickers last week from the store and they were in a black plastic bag must be new thing? Step too far?

I always have fold up bags in my handbag , the assistant puts my goods in for me , no flaunting of knickers happens
I hate plastic bags

I think it’s a bloody cheek tbh on their part.Any clothes that you buy should be put into a bag, who wants to carry six pairs of new knickers if you go without your own bag?Why can’t they make compostable bags to give shoppers? It suits them that’s why, it’s cheaper not to provide free bags.

I keep a few really good new carrier bags to put clothing in when I buy anything. Keep them just for that.

I had a txt this morning to say my order is ready to pick up from the local food hall, but as their policy now is to save on plastic , my order won’t be in a bag but to bring my own,
I understand the idea , to save on plastic bags to save the environment , but the idea of them handing over my goods unwrapped in front of everyone , especially clothing , underwear , is not something I am happy with ,
Any thoughts ??
