soop that was a buggeration you did not want to hear. At least Mr. S is in no pain and he also cannot see his head unless he looks in a mirror.

Have you had a certain 4 legged animal visit looking for a meal or three?

It is -1C in greater London and it is beyond midday. It is supposed to be sunny but fog has arrived instead. I had a chiropody session earlier so I will be superglued to my house for the remainder of the day. Strictly, a decent meal and a glass or three of wine methinks.

Fog lifted from S Hants, a high of 0, I’m trying to find the motivation to get off my bum and go for a walk, but failing dismally.
Daughter has had their first ever real tree delivered, grandchildren are excited, MrJ worked this morning and I’ve ordered some Santa hat tree lights, my mornings achievement 🤣
Have a wonderful day tomorrow Sue #nailenvy.
Enjoy your daughter’s party tomorrow too brook.
Sorry to hear neine

Aww so sorry to hear that news neine, so sad 🥲
What a gorgeous picture grandmabatty someone looks very happy in the snow ⛄️
It’s freezing fog here in Cambridge, absolutely bitterly cold outside so we’re staying warm inside and helping to get all the decorations up - its looking very festive!
Can’t beat a real tree Jax for that Christmassy feeling 🎄

gillgran Sat 02-Dec-23 14:53:32

Sorry to hear your sad news, neine, not much comfort just now, but you gave him a loving home.

It's a cold, murky day here in N.,Cambs., fog not really cleared at all.

Warm thoughts for all in soop's cosy, friendly kitchen.

brook2704 Sat 02-Dec-23 14:55:32

Crossed posts gillgran the fog is really thick and cold isn’t it! Hope you’re keeping warm and cosy

Aww, Neine, I'm so sorry to read that you have lost your gorgeous boy. He looks so happy in the picture. You did him him the final kindness, he didn't suffer and I'm sure he had a happy life with you.
I still miss and mourn Granddog, remember him daily. When they go, they leave a hole in our hearts.
So sorry, thinking of you. 💕🙏

dustyangel Sat 02-Dec-23 15:57:58

So sorry Neine, what a lovely, happy dog he was. 💐

Grannmarie Sat 02-Dec-23 16:04:59

That's a super photo Grandmabatty, you can almost hear the happy laughter!
DDIL2 just sent us similar, the Wee Boy in their back garden with an enormous snowman.

I went to our Church Christmas Fayre earlier. I had to clear a path to our garage, then it was tricky driving out of the estate, but once I reached the main roads it was fine. Church car park was like an ice rink!
The Fayre was very well attended, I came back with home baking for DH, we've just had a nice wee afternoon tea before we start some Christmas wrapping. Alexa is playing Christmas music 🎅 🎶
Keep cosy!

Good afternoon all.
It has been flaking with snow but stopped now, I think it is too cold.
-4 first thing but the sun brought temperature up to 3 at lunch, now dropped again.
I am sorry for sadness here today but also some cheer with families.

I am off out for my first “jolly” a meal with my friend across the road at 6.
I have something on every weekend now until Christmas, I am making the most of going out while I can, it may not last long.

I hope all who can have a good evening and please stay warm and be careful outside.

annsixty Sat 02-Dec-23 16:20:26

I have revised my wardrobe and the navy outfit with a crepe blouse which was planned is now, charcoal trousers, red jumper and boots with socks hidden underneath.

Yiayia4 Sat 02-Dec-23 16:48:27

Love your Snow Angel Grandmabatty

soop Sat 02-Dec-23 16:53:06

Dear Neine having read your sad message, I have tears in my eyes. We have been where you are right now. It is heart breaking to have to make such a decision, and say a final farewell to a beloved animal. flowers

soop Sat 02-Dec-23 17:02:27

Charleygirl Our dear feral four-legged friend has not visited for about two months. The apartment remains in situ. Should Sweetie Pie return, there is a cosy shelter ready and waiting.

Grandmabatty THANK you for sharing such a joyful image. grin

annsixty I approve of your revised wardrobe choice.

It remains bitterly cold. I've been watching some snooker. It is almost time to light the wood burning stove. A little later...a glass of G&T will be raised as I wish you all a pleasant and peaceful weekend.

cornergran Sat 02-Dec-23 17:38:40

GrannyGravy13 Sat 02-Dec-23 17:40:30

Sorry neine 💐

‘Evening All’.

We are warm and snug. I’ve plugged the candle bridge in on our bedroom window sill and it’s soft warm light comforts me this evening. Himself is sat beside me watching the Everton -v- Notts Forest football match (Forest have been his 2nd favourite team for years, ever since the much admired Brian Clough) and I’m pickling about on here, a large glass of Whispering Angel rosé just poured.

I’m feeling happier and more settled tonight. I wonder if my Macmillan reflexology treatment yesterday unmoored me? Yes it was relaxing but it stirred up my emotions and I was quite tearful last night. Sad I suppose at the cards we have been dealt. I just need to learn how to play my hand better. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to contend with and It Hurts.

Sorry to hear about your dog Neine. That pic of your lovely boy in action is wonderful. He has been a faithful companion to you and been by your side during much heartbreak in your life. You will miss him terribly. But you did well by him and he will have known he as much loved in return.

In a state of collapse after a very busy time at the village Christmas fair where we were hosting a Christmas tree festival in the church. Perhaps because it was so cold we had lots of people through the church looking at the trees. We asked people to vote for their favourite of the seventeen trees and ran out of voting slips and had to improvise. We took over £200 in donations for hot drinks and homemade cake, talked to lots of people and felt we had many people through the doors who hade never been in our lovely 15th and 16th century church, so it was a real success. Lovely atmosphere and we were part of a real community event. A large glass of wine awaits!

annsixty Sat 02-Dec-23 21:33:43

I am just back from my evening out.
It was very enjoyable in spite of…. the food was average, the service from teenagers was really not good and the cost was expensive.
I feel I am jaded, I really think young staff should be trained which these quite frankly were not.
I shall send a review to the management, constructive I hope.
My friend and I enjoyed being out and being together but it could have been better.
I won’t moan anymore .
I hope you all have had the best evening you can and that you have a peaceful night.

Jaxjacky Sat 02-Dec-23 21:50:43

A glorious picture Grandmabatty.
Oh dear ann that sounds disappointing.
We have gone to 0 from -2 an hour ago, rain on the way.
Urms uncharted territory for you both xx
