Good morning from Bristol. It rained most of the night but the forecast is for dry weather today.
Mick, I’m sorry your health is sliding backwards. You are wise to consult your nursing team.
Today is a big day. The management is “consulting “ the residents regarding keeping a resident manager, after this one retires in December. The general consensus is to keep one as the other options are many and unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, the rest of the residents, other than about three of us, CBA to do anything then will whinge because things didn’t go their way. We are having a pre-meeting meeting to get all the questions together and a sense of unity. I hope those with endless drums to bang about irrelevant things won’t do so or won’t attend! The chairman isn’t very assertive.
In the afternoon, I have to finish some little bags for some craft event in church next month for the food bank.
May all have a reasonable day, less pain, sorrow or anxiety. Don’t forget your random act of kindness today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a damp, breezy Torbay.

I hope your system settles today, Mick. Perhaps taking one of the capsules when you’re going out would help? Seeking advice from the team is a good idea.

We had a very busy morning at Props yesterday with visitors calling in to hire items, some of whom hadn’t booked so it was rather manic. We didn’t have our coffee break until nearly noon! A quick sandwich then straight into a Committee meeting to finalise terms of a contract with our youth theatre leader.

Today I have two large fillings at the dentist then I’m hosting Wednesday Club this afternoon as our regular leader is away. We are each taking our favourite poem to share. Mine is The Donkey by G K Chesterton, which I’ve loved since childhood when I first heard it read on an EP (remember those?!) belonging to my parents. Many of my Y6 English classes were subjected to it, too!!

Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
