Good Morning Everyone,,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley this morning.
I plan to get out and get the bus to Bicester as I need a few essentials in food plus medicines .
I maybe an hour at the most but as long as I get what I want will be OK .
Take Care,
Mick

Marydoll Thu 26-Oct-23 12:11:45

Blossoming, glad to hear you managed to get out.
I put my Whatsapp location tracker on my phone, if I go out. It stops Mr MD fretting. If it doesn't move, he knows I have met someone (very frequently) and I am blethering, not in A&E. That did happen once, when he was on the golf course. Of course he never looked at it!!!

Awww baubles what a gorgeous puppy - Those eyes!! 🐶💕🐶💕🐶

A late good morning from West York's it's raining again !!. We made bracelets with crystals yesterday quite pleased with result.
Thoughts are with all poorlies and family members.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 9°C and raining. Hope your trip to Bicester goes well Mick.

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, I had a pleasant walk by the river to my favourite “sit ooterie” (pictured) and just watched the river flow.

I took my ‘phone and told MrB exactly where I was going as he does worry I may need help. It’s a bit smothering at times but better than not caring 😊

IToday I plan to have a sort through my craft stash and perhaps make some beaded bracelets for a local charity.

Glad the meeting went well Grandmattie and the bathroom plan is proceeding. Those bags are lovely.

Hope you are able to enjoy a bit of retail therapy and some family time Marydoll.

As always my thoughts are with those dealing with troubles, may today bring some comfort.

Have a good day all 🦩🦩

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. I have been feeling rotten since last week. My hip has been so painful that on Tuesday I resorted to the dreaded Co-Codamol. Luckily it worked after a couple of hours. I was due to have a hair cut and didn't want to miss it, as I was looking like the witch of wooky!
Yesterday was mostly a sit and knit day.
GrandMattie good to hear that your meeting went well and that the bathroom will soon be all new and shiny.
Thinking of your DD Ginster
Marydoll, and Urms flowers
Have a good day one and all.

A late good morning from Durham. It’s wet again.
Poor weather yesterday in Newcastle, but the Town was buzzing with good natured fans building up for last night’s big match - sadly, we lost. However, roads were being closed, so I left early and it took twice as long as usual to get home.
Coffee this morning in M&S with a friend, then more clothes sorting later, which will result in a trip to the Hospice Shop.
Many years since I’ve been to Dundee Grandmachrissy but I think the V&A is on the site of an old Marriot Hotel? We stayed there, with fabulous views out over the Tay.
Gingster life is so unfair. Your poor DD - I bet you’d swap places in a heartbeat.
Always a moment to think of Urms as a lot of us have been there with various outcomes. Do look after yourself.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all from the Black country overnight rain after a lovely sunny day yesterday.
Have not read through rather late rising today.
grandMattie I see you have finished the bags loving the blue one, good to see your meeting was satisfactory.
Will get my late breakfast and catch up later.
We need to see about getting a tyre repair DH had a puncture while out yesterday.
Virtual hugs where needed and safe travels those on the move.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

RosiesMaw Thu 26-Oct-23 09:39:07

What a dreary and dismal morning here in N Bucks- but Good Morning wishes to you all.
Baubles what a gorgeous puppy! ❤️😍❤️🥰 (Don’t tell Rosie)
I (quite) enjoyed Rushden Lakes, it’s a beautiful setting with the lake etc and the autumn colours of the trees were beautiful. But I suspect it must have lost some of the “good” shops and we walked miles as my friend was looking for light little presents to take with her when she goes to San Diego over Christmas. Huge M&S and despite half term, not too heaving although the car parks were busy.
Today I have the makings of a chicken soup in the pressure cooker and plan to see a friend for coffee.
Kind thought to all who are poorly or in pain or with worries especially about family members.
Wishing you all a peaceful day 💐

keepcalmandcavachon Thu 26-Oct-23 09:22:34

Good morning everyone, what lovely bags grandMattie, I love a charity craft sale!
Looks like I am in for a good deal of muddy dog bathing for the time being. Little feller is white and woolly and comes home looking dip dyed, with a 'tide mark' up to his tummy'
Wish some one would invent a "waterproof your dog spray"
Hope everyone can have a good safe day x

Good morning from a very wet Essex coast.

I came back from Leamington on Tuesday and have been catching up with washing etc ever since.

Food shopping shortly, the cupboards are a little bare.

Gingster I'm sorry to hear about your daughter xx

Thinking of you all xx

EkwaNimitee Thu 26-Oct-23 09:00:36

Good morning Mick and everyone from gloomy Carlisle where it has rained overnight and where it will probably shower most of the day.
Yesterday, I completed my tedious form-filling and sent it off. Sometimes it seems easier to stick paperwork in an envelope and post it rather than wrestle with temperamental software.

I had a bad night's sleep due to a digestive upset and, like you Taichinan, I am going to be a bit of a zombie today. Nevertheless, I shall make a start on the ironing and see how it goes. Later, I may well start the book I bought from the author at last week's talk.

A successful day all round for you grandMattie. The little bags are lovely.

Your photos reminded me of my holiday in July Grandmachrisy. Our group visited Dundee, a city it never occurred to me to visit. I was most impressed. I went to the V&A which was hosting many craft stalls with a lot of interesting and clever pieces on sale.

I often think of you Marydoll and am always hoping for better days for you.

And wishing you all a good day if possible before I'm off to do that ironing!

Good morning Mick and all from a wet northwest coast. My sister arrived from London last night after a tiresome journey by car and we had chicken fillets and talked until the small hours. Maybe a garden centre visit today.

I had a day at home yesterday and it made a nice change, I did some mending and wrote a letter to a conductor friend who is now housebound.
Nice pics, thoughts to Urms and all with worries.🌺

Greyduster Thu 26-Oct-23 08:52:20

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I’m very late this morning because I slept in! The gardener is due in about ten minutes so it’s all been a bit of a dash to get myself up and ready. It’s drizzling in South Yorkshire and is going to be one of those days where it never gets quite light. When the gardener’s been (if he comes) I will go over and see my niece and her little granddaughter this afternoon. I was supposed to go last week but I was ill.
Lovely photos GrandmaChrissy!
Have the best day you can, folks.

baubles Thu 26-Oct-23 08:45:52

Good morning all from dull and grey South Lanarkshire.

Great excitement in DD’s house yesterday evening when their new puppy was brought home. It’s very sweet and will be much loved.

Not much of note happening here today, I’ll make a big pot of chilli most of which I will take to DS’s house tomorrow.

Thinking as always of those who are coping with worries or illness.

Have the best day possible everyone.

kittylester Thu 26-Oct-23 08:45:04

Good morning from a wet North Leicestershire.

Thankfully, we have an easy day today. Just some gentle pootling and faffing to do before a Sainsbury delivery.

GrannySomerset Thu 26-Oct-23 08:36:36

Book group here this morning and an afternoon of admin are the plans for today which looks sunny at present. Hope Marydoll begins to feel better though the warning that it may take six months is a bit of a downer, and that all the activities with DGC are fun.

ginny Thu 26-Oct-23 08:33:45

Good morning from avery wet N. Bucks.
Enjoyed the knitting group yesterday. When I got back we were invited into our neighbours for a cup af tea. They have lived here for about two years but have done lots of work on the house. We often talk to them outside but it was interesting to see what they had done.
Today we have some house bits and bobs to do and hopefully the weather will allow us a walk later on. I would also like to get on with my soldier.
Kind thoughts to all struggling with illnesses or other troubles.
Hope everyone finds a smile in their day.

Stilllearning Thu 26-Oct-23 08:23:10

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, we are promised a dry day.

Ash I’ve just read ‘The Donkey* for the first time and I have tears in my eyes. I can’t believe I haven’t heard about it in all my years, thank you.

grandMattie, lovely patchwork squares.

Gingster, your brave daughter always stays in my thoughts.

Lovely lunch yesterday in Glasgow with DGD1. She seems happier this year at Uni than she did last and it’s good to see.

Coffee this morning with my kind next door neighbour. I wii supply the scones and she the coffee and we will catch up, with one thing and another it’s been quite a while.

Lots of people struggling this morning, sending love and support to all who need it.

RosesandLilac Thu 26-Oct-23 08:18:44

Good morning from a damp Ceredigion coast where it’s drizzling at the moment.
A restless night because of my indigestion so having a quiet day today, DH will dog walk.
Yesterday we had a fabulous walk at Ynylas, in brilliant sunshine and clear blue skies. We’ve been so lucky with the weather so far. There were a few other dog walkers, the tide was out and the dog chased around like a lunatic having a wonderful time- she slept all afternoon! It really is a beautiful place, whatever the weather.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Moonlight over the Tay

Grandmachrisy47 Thu 26-Oct-23 08:15:59

Not read all yet but wanted to post the photos I took on Tuesday evening in Dundee. Moonlight on the V & A. Thinking of all with worries, have a good day everyone.

Grammaretto Thu 26-Oct-23 08:14:09

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Grey outside but not wet. Maybe after my cataract surgery it will be bright again.

DS3 is coming for the weekend with all of them so making up beds and preparing meals beckons.

Yoga this morning and ceilidh dancing tonight.
You might think I was fit but I'm not, merely tired.

I hope it's less than 6 months for the toxins to leave your system Marydoll and your body has less to deal with.

Hugs for all those struggling.
Enjoy all the baby cuddles and whatever you do today

Taichinan Thu 26-Oct-23 08:08:00

Good morning Mick and all. It's dark and dry on the Angus coast - but we have a Yellow Warning for more rain from 11am for three days!
Lovely patchwork grandmattie and glad your meeting was better than expected. Also glad that your dental visit wasn't too bad Ash.
I have had less than three hours'sleep last night so I'm not sure what tai chi class will be like! I feel more like a zombie than a human, and my sense of balance is all over the place. I think it will be straight back to bed later as I don't think keeping going feels like an option today!
Have a good day everyone, and if times are heard remember that Attitude of Gratitude - it really does help ☀️

harrigran Thu 26-Oct-23 08:07:58

Good morning from a grey, rainy NE.
DS and GD2 came at lunchtime yesterday and we all went shopping.
We had a sausage casserole for dinner.
Today my solicitor is bringing papers for me to sign but not until early afternoon so I will get on with the housework this morning.
Have the best day you can.

Gingster Thu 26-Oct-23 08:04:11

GG I wonder if you’re going to Caddies?
It’s really good fun there and your gs will love it.👍
