Otherwise a day at home.
Take Care,

Grandmadinosaur Mon 30-Oct-23 08:36:05

Good morning everyone.

Such great news Urms I’m so pleased for you and himself. A much needed tonic for you both I’m sure. Enjoy.

Wonderful news urms. Delighted for you.

A tiny step forward is wonderful maryd, it will take time for your system to adjust. Keep believing. X

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather cloudy but brightish Carlisle.
I had a quiet day yesterday apart from a lunchtime trip to the hospital to return the ECG kit which I was heartily glad to remove. The hospital was quietly busy with outpatient clinics including Cardiology where I went. They must be trying to catch up. There was also the usual miscreant accompanied by two policemen, a given for the weekend.
Today, laundry and housework in the morning and whatever I fancy after lunch, probably the pile of magazines that hasn't diminished over the weekend.

Delighted to hear your news Urmston, how you must have missed your Spanish home.

And have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a bright, at the moment, Essex coast.

Lovely news Urms, have a restful time and enjoy xx

A challenging phone call from DD1 yesterday but hopefully things are working out in her household. It's hard to do anything when you live over a hundred miles away.

Have a pleasant day everyone xxx

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, a few.showers forecast after lunch.

Made 4 dozen mince pies yesterday, but not very pleased with them, not up to my usual standard, but they will have to do, and are now in the freezer. Shall have to pick out the few better-looking ones to take to book club at the end of the month.

No yoga this morning, so will do a bit of pottering, clean my en-suite and a bit of hoovering.
An early dinner, then this evening I am out with some wine club friends to Milton Keynes to see 'Jesus Christ, Superstar', a favourite musical.

So pleased you are able to get away to Spain, Urms, you will have a wonderful time!

Wishing all a good Monday.

Urms that’s such wonderful news to read on a gloomy Monday morning, 😀

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 30-Oct-23 08:52:40

Good morning from a cold and sunny Oxfordshire.

The dreaded Steroid Crash hit me last night so I went to bed early and have just woken up, nice to get some sleep, but I’m exhausted (from doing nothing for a month) MrOops has taken the dog out, another thing I haven’t been able to do. If only the cough would disappear.
I had my latest Covid jab just over a week ago and haven’t been able to taste anything except coffee and chocolate ever since. I did what looked to be a good roast yesterday ( they all loved it) but I couldn’t taste anything, even the apple and blackberry crumble was tasteless to me.
Maybe I can lose some weight then…….
I’ll come back and read your posts when I’m up and dressed.
Have a good day everyone, virtual hugs to those who are unwell or anxious.

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 30-Oct-23 09:04:19

Excellent news Urms something to look forward too.

Marydoll Mon 30-Oct-23 09:09:11

I ahve to share this. I went in to get washed and saw that DH has covered himself in fake tan, rather than sunscreen, before going to play golf! 🤣

harrigran Mon 30-Oct-23 09:13:00

Good morning from a dry NE.
Yesterday was a day of doing nothing. Just ate and watched TV until my sister rang mid afternoon.
DS was confined to bed with covid but thankfully DIL is recovering.
Wonderful news Urmston, have a restorative holiday 😎

RosiesMaw Mon 30-Oct-23 09:13:13

A late good morning from me but yet again the day has started with bright sunshine and blue skies.
Today I am icing my clementine cake to take to Somerset tomorrow where I am joining D1, SIL and the GC starting with a Halloween tea.
I’m thinking black ready to roll icing with spider and eyeball decorations, maybe a pumpkin or two.
Got my witch’s hat too but am not planning to travel by broomstick- just my trusty Fabia. It seems I may be heading into the eye of the storm from what Karma says but they are driving down today and will no doubt advise if conditions are poor. Their holiday house is high on a ridge with wonderful views in both directions , could get lively!
Encouraging news from many of you this morning - very happy for Urmston especially, I know how much this trip means to you.
Wishing everybody a pleasant day.

Taichinan Mon 30-Oct-23 09:17:18

Good morning everyone - and joy of joys it actually isn't raining on the Angus coast!!
Urms I'm so delighted for you and I'm sure your break to your apartment in Malaga is just what you both need.
I've just had a beautiful robin sitting in my fence and looking in at me grandmattie - our loved ones are always near and it's lovely to have that reminder!
Marydoll 🤞🦋
Welcome back liberty - I too am looking forward to your photos. It must have been a wonderful holiday.
Yesterday was such a miserable day and my spirits were as soggy as the weather. I did absolutely nothing but surprisingly did manage to sleep last night. So today I feel brighter and shall now zip round and look for things to wash and hang out on the line!
Enjoy your busy days everyone x

GrannyGravy13 Mon 30-Oct-23 09:17:28

Taichinan Mon 30-Oct-23 09:20:12

mamaa Mon 30-Oct-23 09:22:14

Have a lovely time Urms and Mr U in Spain- recharge your batteries in your happy place [sun] smile

aggie Mon 30-Oct-23 09:26:34

A soggy good morning from Co Armagh

GrannySomerset Mon 30-Oct-23 09:29:01

A great start to the week with Urms’s news; hope all the travel plans work smoothly and both feel better for the trip. Lovely to have that in view after so many difficult months.

Washing in and may get it outside as it is sunny and breezy though rain is forecast for later. Visit from the chiropodist the only plan otherwise but if all else fails I have sheep to knit once I have worked out how to make them half the size of the pattern.

Urmstongran Mon 30-Oct-23 09:36:45

Marydoll

I ahve to share this. I went in to get washed and saw that DH has covered himself in fake tan, rather than sunscreen, before going to play golf! 🤣

My first giggle of the day Marydoll!
Golf - fake tan - good job he’s not got the same hair as Trump!
🤣

Kalu Mon 30-Oct-23 09:42:41

Good morning all from Glasgow. Grey skies and no rain…yet.

We had a lovely, almost normal day yesterday as knowing we were having family visitors, DH made a great effort to dress and sit in the sitting room. He lasted 4hrs until fatigue set in before he returned to bed, to sleep. DD1 and both GDs stayed on for a late lunch with me to enjoy their company of non stop chatter.

The best news Urms. I hope you both enjoy spending some time at your ‘happy place’ again.

Have the best day possible all.

luluaugust Mon 30-Oct-23 09:45:42

Lovely news Urms
Marydoll 😂 should be interesting tomorrow

Marydoll Mon 30-Oct-23 09:47:14

Urms, he doesn't have any hair left, after I used the wrong size guard on Friday. I was having trouble concentrating, but he badly needed it cut, so I kept going, despite nicking his scalp! 😫

He was not amused ungrateful so and so! 🤣

Scapa1 Mon 30-Oct-23 09:48:52

Good morning from a bright and dry Dunblane. Glad you are feeling more positive today Marydoll Hope you get your tyre fixed soon Grandmabatty what a shock you must have got. I have been under the weather since Thursday goodness knows what bug I have caught. Started feeling like a cold but progressed, no energy sleeping all the time and a cracking cough which once I start just won’t stop. Not Covid as I have tested more than once. Oh well I suppose it will just take it’s time. Have the best day you can everyone.
