Scary, my prayers are with you on the south coast, it was originally coming our way (Southern Ireland) but veered to the UK I believe, we have had really bad weather around Cork, floods etc, I'm originally from England and I can't remember weather like this being so constant, maybe my memory is going

Hi Llama sorry internets been up and down yes I ve been in some hurricanes when I lived in the Far East and this storm feels a baddy you can hear loads of things crashing around there are places that will be flooded, although I m close to the sea and a river I m up an incline so that won’t happen but the rain is lashing
I think we need to batten down the hatches for at least today

BlueBelle, I'm in the US but I've been in storms! I'm so sorry you're going through this! Once we had what they chose to call 'Hurricane Elvis' with straight line winds. It took some areas weeks to get electricity restored. I worked for an international company headquartered here, they ended up getting a generation as long as 2 railroad cars. We still had only one elevator working and emergency lights only. Of course they brought online our system first! Sorry for your distress!
