Morning all, I have been awake since 4am, now up to cook the 8yr olds breakfast before his 8am school start.

Off to the gym then a coffee and natter. A quick rest before picking up The Imp from preschool for a sleepover here.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning all and it looks calmer and drier out there, here in Essex.

Today I’m meeting up with 6 old school friends. Two I see regularly but the others I havent seen since our 40th reunion.(33yearsago). And before that it was as we left school at 16 .
I’m so looking forward to it.

My internet was down yesterday so I was unable to post until about 2pm. If you didn’t see it, I wanted to thank GrannyGravy and Sar for a lovely lunchtime meetup on Wednesday. Always good to see them.

I hope you all survived the Storm with no damage.
Take care 🌻

Morning Mick, morning All from a very soggy corner of Somerset.

We counted ourselves fortunate yesterday with lower wind speed than forecast. It’s always windy here, at times noisy but no damage, goodness it rained though and there is some localised flooding. My heart goes out to all impacted.

Didn’t get to BT yesterday, will try to do so this morning, x-rays for me after lunch, think it will be too wet for a walk, or should I say one we’d enjoy.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from Bristol. That storm was a damp squib here too, a bit of rain, a bit of wind, sullen sky….
Poor Jersey has suffered badly - we lived there for 5 years for DH’s job, my last two were born there, “Jersey beans”.
I spent yesterday morning cutting out the pieces necessary for my ninja cat quilt and made the first two squares, they really are very easy!
Had dinner at DD’s. I also got there a bit early to have a shower and wash my hair. Oh, it was good!
Spanish this morning, I need to stretch my brain a bit. 30 minute walks there, get my steps in as my neighbour says - not that I’ve ever counted them!
I hope all the poorlies and unhappy have a reasonable day. Don’t forget your random act of kindness. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a rainy, quiet Cornwall, where I didn't feel the brunt of the weather yesterday and the large trees behind my flat remained intact, unlike this one, complete with bench, in our local cemetery.

My blind daughter is coming to stay soon so today I'll start adopting my flat to her needs, though it only means moving a few bits of furniture and floor lamps which would act as hurdles to her in this small space.

Ash, my own culinary explosion was pea soup in a blender with a loose lid many years ago! Boy, did it travel! 😁

Good morning from s somerset, a bit more sun than rain later

There are lots of flooded areas in the county, away from where I live, my last village was inaccessible except by land rover but as always there was a lot of community spirit. Not a driving day here, floods must have time to subside

That leaves me with an indoor day and I am hoping to get the oomph to do a quick walk around town.

Have a good day

Good morning ,dark and miserable at the moment, I'm just about to get a cuppa and then take the dog out for a quick walk, later I will take him to the woods for a run with my daughters dog,
I am viewing a bungalow this afternoon, my dh is now wheelchair bound and can't get upstairs to his clothes etc, the bungalow is close to the Atlantic sea, and beaches just a very short drive away, it needs must sadly but a new chapter

Good morning from a calm and dry Torbay.

We had strong winds at times yesterday, especially mid-morning, but nothing to match what others suffered in the SW, especially Cornwall and the Channel Islands. I hope all our Gransnetters are safe.

Poor DH has gone down with a heavy cold, probably caught on his rail journey here. He is rather sorry for himself at the moment but TIB always helps to revive. We had no plans for today so another day of hibernation is likely.

Thank you for the kind words and stories of other mishaps with jars, etc yesterday, following the Tika Masala debacle! I’m pleased to say there was no staining to any surfaces, including the floor which is laminate.

Have a good day, everyone, wherever possible. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
