Thank you all for advise I will ask for pain relief when I speak to the physio. Fingers crossed they will give me something to help.๐Ÿค•

I am sorry travelsafar. On the other thread we advised you to contact your GP and you have ... with this disappointing result.

Hopefully the physio will prescribe painkillers if you ask for them and explain you are doing the exercises already. Stress to them how your mobility is affected which also has a knock effect on your general health.

Our GP surgery had a needs improvement result to a recent Care Quality assessment and the standard of the receptionists has improved. And I think one particularly unhelpful one has gone. I was discussing with a friend recently whether there is a specific NVQ or similar training for health receptionists. I think there should be. Maybe a GNer will know.

I hope you get some help on Monday.

Miss the days when I could just turn up at the surgery and be seen that morning. There was a bit of a wait but you could have reassurance and treatment straight away.
Now we struggle to see a GP and often just have telephone consultations.

I assume that after looking at your condition the GP would have referred you to a physo anyway, I had a phone call with a physio and he was able to authorise a prescription which I collected later that day.

Unfortunately to to high demand appointments with a GP have to be prioritised.

Finally decided to bite the bullet and ring surgery. To my surprise I was given an appointment for Sunday morning at a different surgery. In our area they are doing this on a rota using locum gps. So happy. Just now I got a text changing that appointment to a physio telephone call instead on Monday. I rang surgery to complain and in a sarcastic voice receptionist said what do you want me to do then??? I replied give me back my gp appointment. I was informed that the person on duty Sunday is not able to deal with my complaint!!! All I want is painkillers but no they are going to give me exercises which by the way I'm already doing as I have them from when I had this problem once before. No wonder people are having so many anger issues with gps and receptionists!!!๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก
