It’s a chilly grey day and my mind went wandering.

What is the sexiest thing you remember? I think mine would be when Clint Eastwood climbed into the tub fully clothed plus cowboy hat with Shirley MacLaine.

Like I said nothing explicit but blimeyđŸ€.

What would your blimey moment be?

Chris Hemsworth and he needn’t bother bringing the Boss Cologne he advertises.

Johnny Depp as Captain Jack.

Oh yes... I'd forgotten how much I loved Cary Grant. I'll definitely watch that programme.

Cary Grant in almost anything.

A very revealing drama about Cary Grant has just been released today on ITVX. Starring Jason Isaacs it's called Archie.

Thank you Whethertomorrow for one of the funniest (and revealing) afternoons at work ever!

Pondering on your question, i asked the question at work and got these answers, amongst others...

Colin Firth emerging from the lake
Tom Hardy reading for Jackanory (ooooh!)
'just Colin Farrell'
Steve McQueen on his motorbike
David Tennant as Dr Who
Richard Gere - debate raged between Officer and a Gentleman final scene and American Gigolo

Much laughter and one lady announcing she was off to 'sort out the milk' which when questioned 'ok, stand in the chiller for 5 minutes' she laughed 'i feel a bit warm!'

Haven't laughed so much in ages.

I saw Aidan Turner on stage in the Lieutenant of Inishmore. His character was unshaven and scruffy. I was in the front row and I came over quite unnecessary. I could have leant forward and licked him from head to toe. đŸ„”đŸ˜‚

Have to say I agree with you M0nica - all it takes is a look, or a word. Or sometimes a pair of broad shoulders in a white shirt.

On the subject of Alan Rickman, he does a very nice Colonel Brandon. Not exactly a phwoor moment, more a melting moment.

Agree with about Colonel Brandon .

Mine was the first time I saw Bryan Ferry on TV.I must have been about 30. It stopped me in my tracks. He was the sexiest man I had ever seen. He went a bit sleazy sadly.

I would agree. When he was the lounge Lizard singing "Lets get together",also "Smoke gets in your eyes."
I saw an interview with him not long ago and he seemed more back to his old self. I often wondered why Jerry `Hall left him for Mick Jagger...maybe money.

Brad Pitt in the film Troy, when he enters the tent and takes his kit off while talking to Briseis. I think I stopped breathing for a good few minutes when I watched that in the cinema

Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland in Don't Look Now

Definitely this - although I remember when I saw it with two friends we all turned to each other and said “I’ve got those knickers!” - they were M&S ones!

Freddie Mercury’s performance at Live Aid for me. A somewhat unconventional phwoor moment, but his passion and power on stage was electrifying! Also, no need to apologise Whethertomorrow. We’re all adult, mature women who, thankfully, still experience passion - in whatever form. Thanks for the post🙏

For me it was the deep deep voice of the actor Roger Livesey as he got older. How many of you remember him I wonder.

I agree about the beach scene from the film The Songbirds - phew!!! As my dear old Aunt Phyll would say “makes me come all over different”!!!!

Any scene with Henry Cavill in it in The Tudors

kittypaws49 Wed 22-Nov-23 16:24:30

Richard Gere deciding what to wear to go out with one of his ladies in the film " American Gigolo". Trying to remember what song was playing in that scene, definetely added to the general Mmmmmmm !

BeneathTheHowlingStars Wed 22-Nov-23 16:14:39

For me it's the scene in Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula where Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder are drinking the absinthe and he is telling her about his homeland. I don't think she ever looked more beautiful and he is always gorgeous. youtu.be/AKSLK1s7wTE?si=OECLbm_u4FDrg5zq

In my early teens, I went to see From Russia with Love along with a group of friends. I’m not sure how we got in as, surely it was for over 18 s. Anyway, Sean Connery and the Russian lady spy ( not Rosa Klebb) were ‘ having a moment’ and I suddenly knew what all the fuss was about - if you see I mean. When I got home, I told my Mum that I had discovered sex ! I can remember how matter-of-fact she was when she asked me about it. In later years, we laughed about my sexual epiphany and, seeing the scene in the film again , as a middle aged woman , I thought - “ What a slime ball . “ !
