Sorry to hear that, Summerfly. Nothing worse than getting really nervous and psyched up for something, sleeping badly the night before and - what a letdown.

Summerfly I'm so sorry. So unfair when you've got yourself mentally prepared. Our NHS is in such a bad state atm. 💐

Well, my long awaited surgery didn’t go ahead! I was gowned up, stockings on etc. and it was cancelled at the last minute. So upsetting. 😢

Since I retired, every day. Especially Fridays because they are ‘free’, no prior or pre organised events, I can do what I like.

No favourite day these days.

Not quite in my own bed, currently in a hospital bed in our dining room, but it’s quiet and home and so I’m happy

Sunday. Its the one day I know Im not going to be disturbed. No parcels or deliveries and no reason to interact with anyone. I rarely invite anyone round and I usually unplug the door bell and put the blocker on all the phones. There are a few people on my VIP list who can still get through in case of emergencies. I rarely deal with business but send one of those "out of office" emails to anything routine that can wait til monday.

That doesnt mean I sit around on my backside watching netflix. I usually do photo shoots on a sunday.

Sunday. It’s our curry day, either homemade, takeaway or in a restaurant.

Another one here for Wednesday. It's my day off and I can choose to do anything I like.... Or do nothing 😎

Wednesday hss always been my favourite day, maybe it’s always been quieter day.

Tuesday. Radio Times is delivered and in the evening we have leftover curry and a detectice story on TV, currently a re-watch of Endeavour.

Retired

Saturday for me too, I'm sort of semi retired but as we run our small family business from home that tends to mean I work at least part of each day. I watch Saturday Kitchen in bed and my DH brings me coffee and sometime fruit and yoghurt. Then a day of doing more or less whatever I want and currently Strictly to look forward to. Some Sundays the family come round for a roast so that's always good too
