Good Morning Everyone,
Dark and dry at the moment in brackley this morning.
Mind you the forecast over the next few days could see more seasonal conditions.
Getting my xmas card list sorted ready to post in next few days .
My own condition a little weight loss but not to drastic .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning and Happy Birthday to Mr baubles
Hope you are ok for the next six months till your op Mizuna,
Nearly there grandMattie! Hardly any orange colours left in the garden now, plenty of yellowy tones and the old flower heads are beginning to stand out nicely. Winter waiting in the wings!
Stay warm everyone and try to have a good day x

Good morning Mick, the weight loss could be because you’re gadding about a bit more but please mention it to your medical team.
Good morning to the rest of you from dry, still, overcast W Cheshire.
Happy birthday to MrBaubles, have a good un.
Disappointing for you Mizuna, one sure thing is that time will pass, it will all be done eventually. Meanwhile I’m sure you’ll crack on with your usual indomitable spirit.
Day two of having a fitted desk and shelving unit installed. Lots of dust, may have to eat out again today, aw shucks.
All the best to all

Meant to say that your 21st century version of ‘red sky…, made me laugh Maw.

Greyduster Thu 23-Nov-23 08:26:24

Good morning, Michael and all GNs the South Yorkshire weather can’t make its mind up today and neither can I. It’s a bit breezy for a walk in the woods so I think I will just drive over and have lunch with DD and do some shopping while I’m over there. Last night I spent two hours on the phone with an old friend. We always have a lot to say to each other, and a good laugh too. Unfortunately we don’t live near enough to each other to get together regularly but I hope to see her in the New Year.
Happy Birthday, Mr Baubles🎂🥃!
Have a good day, folks.

Marydoll Thu 23-Nov-23 08:26:40

Good morning all from a wild and windy Glasgow. DH let me sleep on, as last night I had an unexpected vertigo episode and I was feeling pretty rough,

Congratulations to your DH Baubles, I hope you have a lovely time.

Mizuna, such a big disappointment for you, but your anaesthetist is trying his best to keep you safe and we wouldn't want anything to happen to you.
Glad your meal turned out better than expected GM. I could be the MIL, we can't help ourselves. It's a nervous thing.😉
Ash, I hope you receive some positive news.

Yesterday's visit to the hairdresser turned into a social event. I bumped into a few parishioners, who were concerned that I hadn't been seen about church. I had a great time catching up!
My hairdresser also keeps me up to date with local gossip. The conversation usually starts with: Did you teach x? Their mother/father/ sibling/ grandparent has died. 😱

I'm just going to potter about today, I'm feeling a bit ropey. However, I may try a few complicated things on the parish website, I seem to be regaining my IT skills and confidence,
I realised this morning that it was exactly nine years ago, that I went off sick, on the insistence of my RA consultant. It was downhill from there on and I never worked again. 😪

Have a good day folks and best wishes for all who are struggling.

Taichinan Thu 23-Nov-23 08:28:51

Good morning Mick and all who follow. Lovely sky, Rosiesmaw - I hadn't heard the 21st century version of that verse!
Mizuna I'm so sorry for you, that is so hard
Happy Birthday to Mr Baubles.
That boat looks great grandmattie.
Yesterday was a Red Letter Day in our family as, late afternoon, our little Ollie was born. He's my first Great grandchild and I'm over the moon! Never been done before you know 😉😍. I won't be able to meet him in the flesh for a couple of months yet, but every photo will be greedily looked at as you can imagine!
Yesterday wasn't without its other dramas as well as, of all days, that was the day my phone decided to refuse to charge! As you can imagine, I was up and out and down to our town's only techy shop almost before it was open! Ridiculous how reliant I am on that little bit of hand-held technology. All was well though - just needed a new connector and I was one with the world again.
Now off I go to set a more normal day in motion - tai chi, shopping and home. Pappa and Granny are off to meet their new grandson so I'm sure there will be more gorgeous photos to drool over admire.
Enjoy your day everyone x

Lovely news Taichinan, congratulations! 🎉

LauraNorderr Thu 23-Nov-23 08:38:18

Congratulations Taichinan, wonderful news. I have found myself grinning like a Cheshire Cat for you.

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 23-Nov-23 08:40:45

Good morning everyone from a sunny Oxfordshire. Had a rough night, sniffing and coughing, possibly from the Pneumonacoccal jab (scuse spelling) as my arm was very hot last night, it possibly re triggered the virus which the GP says was probably the cause of the cough in the first place. Anyway I feel as though I’m back to where I was in October, of course with the luxury of knowing that all is well on the inside.
Happy birthday to MrBaubles hope you all have a lovely day.
So sorry Mizuna awful to be in pain and then have the op postponed.
Taichinan excellent news, congratulations to you and your family.
Maw as we are surrounded by farms the saying around here is “Red sky at night your Barns alight, red sky in the morning, your Barns still burning”
Have a good day everyone, hope the poorlies all feel a bit better today.

grandMattie Thu 23-Nov-23 08:41:44

Congratulations Taichi. How wonderful to welcome another little soul into your family. (I’m very envious!)

Taichinan Thu 23-Nov-23 08:42:49

Thank you Marydoll and Laura. One mention of the Cheshire Cat and I'm off again 😁

ginny Thu 23-Nov-23 08:43:40

Good morning all.
Happy news on bathrooms, kitchens shelves, birthdays , holidays and babies.
Our decorator

Not sure what we are doing this morning but this afternoon I have sewing group.
Wishing all a good day with a smile Ali g the way.

Good morning from a much brighter Black Country.

Thursday walk this morning, with a cafe stop at the end.

Mum's diagnosis was dementia, but he had to report his findings to a Doctor to make a firm diagnosis. I will have a phone call next week. The odd thing is, one of the questions was 'what day is it today'. She never knows the day normally, but straight away said 'Wednesday!'
She is not too worried, her attitude is...I have done well to get to 93.

We had a quick trip to town on the bus for a few things, then back and lunch in a local pub.

Happy birthday MrBaubles have a lovely day.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

NannyJan53 Thu 23-Nov-23 09:01:33

Congratulations Taichinan how wonderful! flowers

Grammaretto Thu 23-Nov-23 09:02:32

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Blowing a hoolie but there are still a few apples clinging to the tree half scoffed by squirrels
I had hoped the roofer would come this week but what with the rain and the wind it's a wonder these brave people can ever make it onto the roof.
I've called off plans to go out today due to my cough and cold.
I'll start my new knitting project instead.

Many congratulations gtgm Taichinan 🧑‍🍼💐🥂

Disappointing news Mizuna but at least you will have the surgery. My DM was refused a new hip as she was deemed too old.

Happy birthday Mr Baubles. I hope your celebrations are wonderful.

Your bathroom and new hallway sound great gMattie. I wonder what your next adventure will be.

I hope everyone's plans go well today

EkwaNimitee Thu 23-Nov-23 09:02:41

Good morning Mick and everyone from a gloomy and very windy Carlisle.
It's a shock to my system as I've just returned from Spain where we had temperatures in the mid-twenties and blue, blue skies plus no Christmas over-hype! I'm wishing I'd booked longer.
The only downside was a very twizzly coach trip into the mountains which has upset my ears.

Wishing MrBaubles a very happy birthday and sending my congratulations to Taichinan, milestones for both of you.

Today, I am staying firmly inside, washing clothes and putting things away then I might indulge in special cleaning ops if the fancy takes me. It may well not....
There's also quite a bit of admin to do.

Have the best possible day everyone.

Urmstongran Thu 23-Nov-23 09:10:39

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and 12°C. It’s ‘date night’ here and we plan going round the corner to our favourite Italian restaurant. That said, we may be joined by another couple - good friends for a great many years.

Here’s Matt.

A late morning all from Kew. I’m in Starbucks drinking coffee and eating an almond croissant. Granddaughter safely dropped off at school. Later on I’m going to Kew Gardens to look at a new exhibition, buy some honey marmalade and maybe lunch.
Have a good day everyone especially those who are feeling down,

Grandmabatty Thu 23-Nov-23 09:18:58

Congratulations Taichinan . A baby is a joy

monk08 Thu 23-Nov-23 09:24:32

Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Late start today didn't wake until 8.30 even DH slept through no nighttime trip to the bathroom.
As the sun is shining have found some washing for the machine I do like to dry outdoors.
Will catch up with everybody's happenings later with a cuppa.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed. Enjoy your day whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

GrannySomerset Thu 23-Nov-23 09:29:27

Just about to embark on a C shopping trip with my neighbours. Usually means lunch out too so all good. So sorry to read Mizuna’s news which is so hard for her. Hope Marydoll feels better as the day goes on and that the hard work little ones have a good day.

Bella23 Thu 23-Nov-23 09:55:42

Good morning from a very blustery Eden which has been continuous through the night and has now changed directions and coming from the North West . Damocles s sword still dangles from next doors tree over our drive.
We have visitors this weekend so today will be spent preparing for them if they get here as the forecast looks bad.
We both had our pre-Christmas haircuts yesterday and now look shriven and shorn. DH actually looks better without all the black curls at the back competing with the shiny bald at the front, My bouncy pixie is now a flat pancake after a very restless night with the wind.
I hope everyone has got away without any structural damage to homes.

BlueSapphire Thu 23-Nov-23 09:56:40

A later.good morning from me here in a bright and sunny Northampton, 11°C at the moment and set to remain sunny all day.

Well, yesterday turned out different to what I expected; I rang the hospital to book my x-ray, and the receptionist asked if I could come in that afternoon! So off I went after an early lunch; the waiting room was packed and I expected a wait of over an hour, but I was called after 30 minutes. It was quickly done, and I was able to catch an earlier bus home, even after a browse around a 'vintage' emporium.

Made a chicken and tomato pasta for dinner, and spent a pleasant evening watching tv.

Early lunch today after a Sainsbury's delivery, then tap and ballet classes - we will have new dances to start learning today. Then home to sit and read before dinner.

Happy birthday, Mr Baubles, and also to my baby DBrother who turns 71 today.

GrandMattie, don't forget, we will need to see pictures of your wonderful new bathroom as soon as it is finished!

May the sun shine on us all day.

hollysteers Thu 23-Nov-23 09:57:29

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Young performers in the concert yesterday and I then picked up some prescription specs which had been tinted with a gradient tint, which I like. I didn’t spend much time in town as I usually do after the recitals, felt tired and came home to make a smoked salmon sandwich.
Will tidy up and a little housework today as I’m going south on Saturday morning and want to leave the place tidy. It shows all the signs of someone taking no notice of it. I have a floordrobe in the bedroom…
Woken up early this morning by a lot of banging. Workmen next door and I’m wondering if the planned balcony is being started.
So sorry you have to wait Mizuna, happy birthday MrBaubles and many congratulations Taichinan. A new baby is always a miracle🙄

hollysteers Thu 23-Nov-23 09:58:26

That emoji is a mistake! Sorry!
