Good Morning Everyone,
Dark and dry at the moment in brackley this morning.
Mind you the forecast over the next few days could see more seasonal conditions.
Getting my xmas card list sorted ready to post in next few days .
My own condition a little weight loss but not to drastic .
Take Care,
Mick

A great grandson! What wonderful news.🌹

Taichinan Thu 23-Nov-23 13:36:56

hollysteers thanks for the giggle at the emoji and the floordrobe (I have one of those as well, but sh! I try to keep it secret 😉)

Marydoll Thu 23-Nov-23 12:55:23

My nephew was due to get married there a few weeks after the fire. sad. Frantic dash to find an alternative venue.

baubles Thu 23-Nov-23 12:53:53

Borrheid, no it’s the one where there was a terrible fire several years ago.

cornergran Thu 23-Nov-23 12:18:56

Congratulations taichinan. Exciting news.

Marydoll Thu 23-Nov-23 12:06:34

Borrheid 🥰 I hope you are feeling better!

Borrheid55 Thu 23-Nov-23 11:55:44

baubles if that’s the LL ARMS, my nephew is one of the managers. He has a South African accent ( born in Scotland, brought up in SA), a beard and a great smile!

monk08 Thu 23-Nov-23 10:48:39

brook2704 Thu 23-Nov-23 10:34:21

Good Morning all from soggy wet Harrogate. This might be my last post. I do have every intention of writing a daily post but get so many interruptions from DH, I give up.
Glad your bathroom is nearly complete GrandMattie - getting very exciting! Good Luck with your Glaucoma Ash. Hope you do get your knee done Mizuna you are being a very patient patient!
I am waiting for my sainsburies delivery just now, and have full intentions of making pastry ready for mince pies and lemon Meringue pies - if DH doesn't find something else I must do! Last weekend I baked two Christmas cakes, one sadly has suffered a mishap and may be inedible.
I'll keep trying to write a post, but DH is the main reason they do not get sent!
Have the best day possible folks!

Kalu Thu 23-Nov-23 10:24:52

Good morning all from Glasgow. Bright and dry so far.

Hairdressers today is at the top of my to do list. Yesterdays visit from DH’s friend was a tonic for us. I was sure it would tire DH out but he was more energised for the rest of the day.

Happy 75th birthday MrBaubles. After such a worrying time I am delighted to know you can both do this worry free now Baubles. 🥂 Slainte
Sorry you will be in pain longer than you expected Mizuna
Congratulations Taichigran 🥳. A GG now. Happy news.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 23-Nov-23 10:22:11

Just popped back here and found my earlier post hadn’t posted 😡

Have a good day everyone, Happy Birthday Mr.Baubles. ,
congratulations Taichinan

Urmstongran Thu 23-Nov-23 10:12:26

‘floordrobe’ that made me laugh hollysteers! 😁

Georgesgran Thu 23-Nov-23 10:00:33

A very late good morning from Durham. Gale force winds, but surprisingly mild. Thankfully, the remaining leaves on the giant sycamore are being shed on its own garden, instead of mine. Not an ill wind then?
Yesterday’s babysitting went well, but I returned with 5 load of laundry, so a day of mostly rest, while the machine does its job. At least outdoor drying.
Congratulations are due to MrB and our new Great Gran Taich
Your hip must be a bu**eration as Soop would say Mizuna. They say patience is a virtue, but I’m not so sure.
Best wishes to all. X

hollysteers Thu 23-Nov-23 09:58:26

That emoji is a mistake! Sorry!

hollysteers Thu 23-Nov-23 09:57:29

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Young performers in the concert yesterday and I then picked up some prescription specs which had been tinted with a gradient tint, which I like. I didn’t spend much time in town as I usually do after the recitals, felt tired and came home to make a smoked salmon sandwich.
Will tidy up and a little housework today as I’m going south on Saturday morning and want to leave the place tidy. It shows all the signs of someone taking no notice of it. I have a floordrobe in the bedroom…
Woken up early this morning by a lot of banging. Workmen next door and I’m wondering if the planned balcony is being started.
So sorry you have to wait Mizuna, happy birthday MrBaubles and many congratulations Taichinan. A new baby is always a miracle🙄

A later.good morning from me here in a bright and sunny Northampton, 11°C at the moment and set to remain sunny all day.

Well, yesterday turned out different to what I expected; I rang the hospital to book my x-ray, and the receptionist asked if I could come in that afternoon! So off I went after an early lunch; the waiting room was packed and I expected a wait of over an hour, but I was called after 30 minutes. It was quickly done, and I was able to catch an earlier bus home, even after a browse around a 'vintage' emporium.

Made a chicken and tomato pasta for dinner, and spent a pleasant evening watching tv.

Early lunch today after a Sainsbury's delivery, then tap and ballet classes - we will have new dances to start learning today. Then home to sit and read before dinner.

Happy birthday, Mr Baubles, and also to my baby DBrother who turns 71 today.

GrandMattie, don't forget, we will need to see pictures of your wonderful new bathroom as soon as it is finished!

May the sun shine on us all day.

Good morning from a very blustery Eden which has been continuous through the night and has now changed directions and coming from the North West . Damocles s sword still dangles from next doors tree over our drive.
We have visitors this weekend so today will be spent preparing for them if they get here as the forecast looks bad.
We both had our pre-Christmas haircuts yesterday and now look shriven and shorn. DH actually looks better without all the black curls at the back competing with the shiny bald at the front, My bouncy pixie is now a flat pancake after a very restless night with the wind.
I hope everyone has got away without any structural damage to homes.

GrannySomerset Thu 23-Nov-23 09:29:27

Just about to embark on a C shopping trip with my neighbours. Usually means lunch out too so all good. So sorry to read Mizuna’s news which is so hard for her. Hope Marydoll feels better as the day goes on and that the hard work little ones have a good day.

monk08 Thu 23-Nov-23 09:24:32

Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Late start today didn't wake until 8.30 even DH slept through no nighttime trip to the bathroom.
As the sun is shining have found some washing for the machine I do like to dry outdoors.
Will catch up with everybody's happenings later with a cuppa.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed. Enjoy your day whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Grandmabatty Thu 23-Nov-23 09:18:58

Congratulations Taichinan . A baby is a joy

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 23-Nov-23 09:12:05

A late morning all from Kew. I’m in Starbucks drinking coffee and eating an almond croissant. Granddaughter safely dropped off at school. Later on I’m going to Kew Gardens to look at a new exhibition, buy some honey marmalade and maybe lunch.
Have a good day everyone especially those who are feeling down,

Urmstongran Thu 23-Nov-23 09:10:39

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and 12°C. It’s ‘date night’ here and we plan going round the corner to our favourite Italian restaurant. That said, we may be joined by another couple - good friends for a great many years.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a gloomy and very windy Carlisle.
It's a shock to my system as I've just returned from Spain where we had temperatures in the mid-twenties and blue, blue skies plus no Christmas over-hype! I'm wishing I'd booked longer.
The only downside was a very twizzly coach trip into the mountains which has upset my ears.

Wishing MrBaubles a very happy birthday and sending my congratulations to Taichinan, milestones for both of you.

Today, I am staying firmly inside, washing clothes and putting things away then I might indulge in special cleaning ops if the fancy takes me. It may well not....
There's also quite a bit of admin to do.

Have the best possible day everyone.

Grammaretto Thu 23-Nov-23 09:02:32

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Blowing a hoolie but there are still a few apples clinging to the tree half scoffed by squirrels
I had hoped the roofer would come this week but what with the rain and the wind it's a wonder these brave people can ever make it onto the roof.
I've called off plans to go out today due to my cough and cold.
I'll start my new knitting project instead.

Many congratulations gtgm Taichinan 🧑‍🍼💐🥂

Disappointing news Mizuna but at least you will have the surgery. My DM was refused a new hip as she was deemed too old.

Happy birthday Mr Baubles. I hope your celebrations are wonderful.

Your bathroom and new hallway sound great gMattie. I wonder what your next adventure will be.

I hope everyone's plans go well today
