Just to report back, after waiting two hours I was able to log in and place my order.
I haven't had the time since but I will certainly let Sainsbury's know how I feel.
I am loathe to change as I have always been happy with my deliveries and the drivers.
All through Covid I got a weekly delivery with very seldom missing items or substitutions but they need to review their call centre staff.

Same Scribbles and let Sainsbury’s know by emailing the CEO.

I'd just change to shopping with a different supermarket.

I got a new lap top hoping Sainsburys on line might work. I still have trouble with it. I have answered endless questionnaires and phoned but it never improves.
When I go upstairs to use the main computer I always have to have a code from the bank before it will accept it.
If there was another supermarket that would deliver to our area I would certainly change.
There have been complaints about them and others only giving discounts to their cardholders. In the end, we found an old Nectar card from when I used the shop pre-Covid and registered it. You can certainly save some money.

Ha! My Nectar card adventure has been going on for quite some time. Every time I use Sainsbury I get asked if I have a Nectar card but on a recent visit the exchange with the checkout person went:

"Do you have a Nectar card?"

"No"

"Why not?"

"I've never wanted one"

"Well, I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to save money.......it just doesn't make sense! EVERYONE has one."

I found this operative's abruptness so unnerving I replied (a little too sharply) "don't bully me!"

Anyway, this week I caved in and requested a Nectar card when I dropped in Sainsbury, only to be informed "we aven't got none - sorry!"

I have 3 different log in scripts for Tesco. It was one of the tricks I learned during covid. People who had never used online shopping were taking up all the slots and long term customers couldnt get in. I would log in on 3 different devices when I knew the new slots were being posted so it gave me more chances to get one.

Also it was nothing to do with Necter, which I currently don't have the energy to set up.

I have also started to have log in problems with Sainsburys
For many years it was problem free then it just didn't allow me to order what I wanted or sometimes even log in.

I rang and rang It used to be a helpful person in Ireland but this time it was a very strong accented person approx 3000 away.
She rude very rude. but worse she had no tech knowledge and refused to put me through to a tech or UK person.

It was hard to understand but that went both ways.
so no real communication.

I tried for 4 days. One time i got thru to a call centre 3000 miles going the other way and the person was lovely and wanted to help but no-one in the calll centres knows any tech.

Why are some so rude the attitude was shocking?

I changed browser in the end but that is starting to play up now.
I don't know what to do.

If that doesn’t work close your account and re register with a different email account.

I have had an issue with Sainsbury’s this week, it is a long standing complaint.
I have a delivery, placed online, with them every week .
I have done so since I couldn’t leave my H on his own, maybe 6/7 years.

This week I couldn’t log on and when I went into it I was told a security number would be sent to my mobile phone.
It came immediately but to a phone I changed last January.
I have told them several times about this change..
After much faffing I got put through to a foreign call centre.
The operator, a woman, with a very strong accent and an attitude, said she couldn’t understand me, It was mutual.

Eventually she understood, took my new number and said to wait 24 hours for it to be uploaded.

Today try to log in, code sent to old mobile.

I rang head office and after the usual Scottish voice I expect from them got put through to… a foreign call centre.
I went thought it all again and the lady said she would put me through to the Nectar department.
Why I asked , because they deal with I am told.

That was the final straw.
Does everyone who uses Sainsbury’s have and use a Nectar card?
I told her in detail to deal with it.
After being on hold for a few minutes I was told it was done, also told it hadn’t been activated yesterday or indeed any time I had informed them.
I have now been told to wait 60 minutes to log on again.
I am not holding my breath.
