Does anyone know of a product that stainless steel gas rings can be submerged in and reappear sparkling as new ?

I have run out of every drop of patience I had to painstakingly clean with a brillo pad and tiny brush πŸ™ƒ

Please say there is such a product πŸ™

Good luck with that one I can remember cursing when cleaning a gas hob
You could always swap it for an induction hob, as far as cleaning concerned they are best thing since sliced bread
A wipe is all it takes

Honestly it drives me mad BUT its impossible for me to turn a blind eye to ...

Have you tried barkeepers friend? It's pretty close to magic fairy dust.

My mother used to clean her pristine oven and hob with Ariel .
She'd leave the rings overnight soaking in hot water with a generous sprinkling .

I've managed to restore heavily encrusted saucepans (not mine!) by leaving them overnight in
Coca-Cola .
Apparently, it works better mixed with baking powder.
It makes loos sparkle as well .
I can't drink it as I have chronic IBS and dread to think what it does to your insides !

Yesterday , I left a pan with the remnants of an omelette soaking in malt vinegar and it worked .

I ove my induction hob but would still find a use for Barkeeper's Friend for my stainless steel sink unit.

Thank you for your helpful replies.

I have actually bought some Barkeepers friend and all i can say it WOW ..

Never heard of it before. Although it cleaned the gas rings brilliantly I had to get the old faithful Brillo pad out for the groves. But Barkeepers really is worth the money.

Thank you Chocolatelo... for suggesting it.

You're welcome Serendipity. My mother would have been so proud to hear of me being an advisor for domestic economy. She wasn't terribly impressed by my degree.

Barkeepers friend can sing its praises for all sorts of cleaning. No one has mentioned that it is really good for removing rust stains on old floor tiles Leave it as a paste on stain then rub it off Don’t have to mention stainless steel. Inexpensive in places like Home Bargains
