What does *flip this discussion * mean?

Not a clue - any examples to put in context?

I think it reverses the order of the discussion - so you get the latest one at the top instead of the bottom of the thread.

This is a guess, but I suspect it means that you can read it from the last post to the first, rather than the other way round?

It means flip it over so that the latest post is at the top and the earliest post is at the bottom, or vice versa. If you have been following the posts, you might want to read the latest ones and ignore the ones that you have already read, but if you are new to that discussion you might prefer to start at the beginning.

You can just reverse the order oldest first or oldest last

but then how would the bookmarks work.
would they be say near the bottom of the last, now first, page, and you then read up the page from there. ?
sounds complicated.
using the bookmarks is easy enough, without any flipping.

so you mark the place where you left off reading.
at the end of a posting, hover until the word bookmark appears, then click on it, and it will say saved.
the nest time you go to that thread it will whizz you to the same place.
except it goes to the beginning of the posting, not the end, so you might read that one again.
it saves time and effort wading through pages that sound familiar.

I have never used the bookmarks. I get how they work but where can I see a list of the bookmarks I've set?
