Ghost's last ever episode.

I loved Ghosts but did think that the ending was a bit rushed. I realise it was a one off special but maybe it could have been longer or over two episodes.

I can't remember the names of the characters as it is a while since I watched it. The scoutmaster is in a series called 'Here we go'. It is on BBC iPlayer. The second series has just come out. The MP is also in one episode. It's a bit frantic with all of the family members but it is quite entertaining.

I agree this was a lovely show ,funny and original. The caveman, Robin , I think , was one of my favourite characters. In one of the later shows the ghosts were discussing how they had each arrived in the UK. Robin said "Well I walked here !".

I've now watched all 5 seasons pretty much back to back and I can't think of a dud episode. Rather like Dad's Army, I could happily rewatch the whole thing from episode 1.
I understand the team call themselves the 6 Idiots and have now produced a Christmas stocking filler book with back stories of the Ghosts. Some of them were involved in a brilliant but very short lived sitcom about 19th century medicine called Quacks which I highly recommend hunting down.
The US version of Ghosts is very inferior apparently.

I thought the ending was perfect. Terrific series.

My daughter and I love it and so does my grandson, who also loved Horrible Histories. My son sat and watched the last episode and he just said "At what point does it get funny?"! He just didn't get it at all. But I don't "get" much of what he watches,

Loved all of the series, but felt it was time to wind it up. Very talented cast have moved on to other projects and deserve to do well. I thought the last episode was well done, maybe the end felt a little rushed, and I wanted Robin to get “sucked off”, but ‘‘twas not to be….

My teenage granddaughter introduced me to Ghosts a few months ago and I’ve loved every episode. My granddaughter rewatched most of them with me and we were so looking forward to the Christmas Day episode.

We watched it together on Christmas evening and were both a little disappointed at the ending. I would have liked to have seen “old” Alison meeting and chatting with them when she entered the hotel room. It ended too abruptly for me.

I’ve loved all the episodes and will probably watch them all again.

I loved Ghosts. Do think it would have been great if they could have done another series as it still had a lot to offer.

Just out of interest what comedies do you find funny? I used to love eg The IT Crowd, Black Books, programmes like that.

Sad it's over but a fitting end to it all BUT they could rework it with the hotel maybe!! And by the way I loved call the midwife.

I loved the ending…it also means they won’t be tempted to make another series. You have to be left wanting more, otherwise they wreck a good thing

I thought maybe they should have got at least another series out of it first- maybe with the baby being able to see the ghosts too would have been amusing? And then once the suggestion was made of Alison giving up the house & moving to actually leaving i thought was a bit too rushed? Plus after all the effort she & mike had been putting in to improve the place and them both saying they 'loved it' i felt that was not what they would have done?- i think they could have still moved on in time by showing them at end as 'oldies' but still in the house- but took a few more episodes to reach that end.(after all whats a series, about 6 weeks?) Or even Alison dying there when older and joining the ghosts?Or at least a scene where they let us see the ghosts later and them telling tales of how they've got on over the years with the place as a hotel?(after all they were against idea to start with) No, was great acting all round but as with a lot of well loved & established series lately they crammed a rushed ending into about 10 minutes, which is dissapointing for such a good show.Would be interesting to know what the actors playing mike & Alison thought.🤔

I disagree about the ending. If you look back to the previous episode, Alison had already decided that she wanted to sell Button House. It was only when the ghosts told her how much they loved her and wanted her to stay that she changed her mind. They then realised that she needed to sell up and decided that, if they really cared about her they should tell her that, for the sake of her family she should sell up. At least, unlike Game of Thrones that I have never been able to rewatch after the botched, rushed ending, I will be able to rewatch Ghosts.

Matthew Baynton was very good in Murder is easy.

Loved it ! Sad to see it finish but better to go out on a high than to try and bring another series and it not be so good.

We watched Yonderland when it was televised Maybee thoroughly amusing.

There’s another series they made called Yonderland but I’ve never been able to find it. A couple of films they made were Bill and Horrible Histories the movie. Pretty much anything they are involved with has a touch of magic. My favourite podcast is You’re Dead to Me with Greg Jenner who was involved with Horrible Histories. Of course, Paddington 2 was written by Simon Farnaby. He was in Detectorists which is also wonderful. They just seem to have created sublime comedies that ( with the exception of Yonderland) are suitable for all ages. I’ve got a Simon Farnaby film called The Phantom of the Ooen which I haven’t watched yet. The lady who played Mary left because she had so many other projects so I’d be interested in whatever she’s going to come up with.

Brilliantly entertaining throughout we thought. Sad it’s over but thought once again they had it spot on we didn’t expect what happened at each episode and especially the last and as has been said already a perfect ending to say all done now…. Although in my head I’ve come up an idea !

Lovely poignant ending, I will miss this series.

That’s what I thought.Love Ghosts, a brilliant series, but it ended before it went downhill as all long running series tend to do in the end.I like to think the Ghosts enjoyed the upgraded Button House as a super hotel and the guests giving them lots to talk and giggle about.😁
