Please accept my condolences, Susan. As you say, it was a relief that your MiL’s suffering is over. 💐

Hello. Just a quickie from me today as the Gransnet mobile site has corrupted but it's very tricky for me to use the desktop site on my phone so I'll be absent until the other is fixed.

Grandmattie spot the deliberate mistake “you kiss out? ”

So funny I think this is meant to say you miss out, methinks a slip of the finger, you made me laugh.
Not to worry I do it all the time.
And so it’s a good morning from the east coast of Fife where the weather outside is devastating for many, floods everywhere not seen in decades, this climate change has definitely caused havoc with the weather. I had such fun yesterday languishing in my walk in bath with the bubble bath Christmas pressy and I had a little bubbly myself, so much fun🤣 thank you to my lovely carer.
Keep well my friends and keep safe

How sad for you but it is comforting to know your MiL is at peace, Susan56. ✝️
I hope your medical appointments go to plan. Thinking of you. 💐

Good morning from a mild part of La Sarthe.

Yesterday the day looked promising with some sunshine so we ventured to La Ferté Bernard to walk by the lake which was very pleasant. The main church - Eglise Notre Dame des Marais - has benefitted from recent major cleaning and looked much brighter. It was noticeable, as always, that streets, parks, verges and pavements are maintained well, rather better than in Torbay, sadly. Many workers were busy at such tasks as we drove through local places.

I hope the day brings some happiness to all. 🦩🎄🧑🏻‍🎄🥂⛄️🦩

Good morning from Shropshire.

My MIL died yesterday. After a five hour drive we had the call to say she had died just as we drove into the hospital car park.We spent some time with her then time with family then drove home again. We feel very sad but relieved her suffering is over.

Today I have a procedure on my shoulder followed by an MRI.

I keep away from the crowds and the sales too grandMattie.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Kiss??? Miss out!

grandMattie Thu 28-Dec-23 05:54:52

Good morning from a dry Bristol. Rain later.
I loathe crowds so kiss out on most of the big sales. As, these days, there is very little I need or want, other than fabrics or books, I’m not much bothered.
Yesterday, I did very little. Read the paper, knitted (no quilts ATM) and watched a load of mindless TV, including an Agatha Christie made in the 1980s with a galaxy of Hollywood stars.
My upstairs neighbour came for a very quick cuppa.
Today, more of the same. But I need to contactable GMmer who would like me to make her a quilt.
May today bring relief to those in need. A gentle day to all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Dark with rain here in brackley this morning.
Yesterdays trip out saw more people heading to Bicester Village Designer outlet mainly from overseas looking for bargains , it looked like a slow start as few people about earlier .
Today will do bus trip with aims of getting a cafe stop as well .
Take Care,
Mick
