We’ve just watched the above episode. I really love this program and was looking forward to seeing it. Huge disappointment though re the overwhelming, overpowering music, it dominated to the extent it drowned out dialogue. I thought the music was to be background, not the main event.
Apologies for the moan, just disappointed as this is such a favourite normally. Have music certainly, but not when actors are speaking. Maybe it’s just me?!

I usually enjoy it , especially Miss Higgins, played by Georgie Glen. . . She is a delight.

But this one was too long and too sugary. Sister Monica has passed her sell by date, and the gasping, strangled voice of Vanessa Redgrave at the beginning and end is tedious.

However it is a wholesome sort of programme and Matthew is a welcome addition. More about him to come, apparently……he will be falling upon hard times in the new series.
