I love playing darts. The hand eye coordination certainly gets a work out but also the competitive spirit and the cajouling. Lots of good fun

nadateturbe I used to enjoy playing darts at home with my children when they were young teens. During the dreadful solitude of lockdown early in the pandemic I jokingly said to my son on a video call “ I wish I still had a dartboard in the house”

2 days later a courier appeared at the door with a dartboard and a set of darts courtesy of my son. I love it. When my grandchildren stay overnight we often have a game and I have a solo game at least once a week.

I would have played for longer but my shoulder was complaining and I needed to use some ibuprofen gel 😆

Went for a lovely big family meal at an Italian Restaurant….9 adults and 4 little ones. Superb meal. The GC always love playing together - it’s a joy to watch them. All in all a Saturday well spent , with family.

Monica , we also went to the cinema to watch Nabucco, thoroughly enjoyed it. We love the opera live screenings and it brings opera to everyone and takes the musical snobbery away!!
Bought fish and chips on the way home and watching Shirley Bassey now on BBC2 - A celebration of her 50 years plus in entertainment. She is simply amazing and her voice has not lost its magic.

We went to rugby lunch and match left earlier than usual for warmth of our home. Caught up with Saturday kitchen then started watching The Tourist all over again fantastic.

I watched two David Attenborough programmes with DS and GD. The programmes were about sea monsters and the Jurassic Coast,

I watched the Masked singer too and really enjoyed it's daftness with great costumes.
Then watched The House of Gucci which I recorded at Christmas. Lady Gaga is brilliant in it. She's not only a marvellous singer but a good actress too.

Watched " society of the snow " on netflix based on true story of the young rugby players whose plane crashed in the andes mountains and how they survived . A much better film that the original film called " miracle of the andes " I think

DH has watched Indiana Jones for the 10000000000th time and I have been sketching. Off to bed now, Good night all.

We went to our local Cine Centre to watch a production of the opera, Nabucco, transmitted live from the The Met in New York.

It was brilliant, Nabucco is a large scale biblical epic of an oper and The Met has the huge stage and can afford the huge orchestra, set and chorus it needs for a really successful production.

Well, I'd just finished some rather nice biscuits from our local Polish shop and was about to google an Oldie as it sounded right up my street!

Macaroni cheese - stodgy but deeply satisfying! Masked Singer - mad idea but compulsive viewing! Now Casualty - it never changes. I thought Charlie was retiring but there he is, still to the fore!

I went from the sublime to the ridiculous….watched Pride and Prejudice then an episode of Reacher. Followed by listening to Beethoven’s 5th Symphony whilst reading Rory Stewart’s memoirs. Now I have just finished a spot of brain training and beginning to think of supper.

Just watched the Masked Singer as well. Daft but very funny. Piranha was excellent.

Have done some knitting and also remembered to do today's Wordle.

DH is watching Indiana Jones. No idea which film though.

Last minute invitation from my DD to join her and family at their place for supper and watching Gosford Park. Had a lovely time. Perfect.

Had a Chinese with my daughter and granddaughter, who drives back to uni tomorro, now home with the remainder of the Chinese for breakfast tomorrow, and waiting for Casualty

Just watched the masked singer, now to start my Portuguese course, been doing it for three years, can read fairly well, conversations with Portuguese people I struggle with, I originally started to learn to read so I knew I was buying butter and not margarine! got hooked and study every day, spend a lot of time in Portugal so get lots of practice 😀
