Have You Treated Yourself Since Christmas?

My treat will be getting my hairdresser to call. I’m in need of a small trim to get me ready for my holiday in February woohoo sea and sunshine.

A blast from the past for be too! My Mum was an avid knitter and I remember her beehive yarn holder - it was red. I just treated myself to a new jumper today in M and S sale . I love a bargain!

I bought a dress in Oliver Bonas sale . I liked it , but thought it a rather expensive pre - Christmas purchase .

I bought a new kettle today. One third off in a sale. My old one was ancient so I'm very pleased with my new light up one.

I bought a beautiful half price Christmas jug from Sophie Alport, a bowl from Emma Bridgewater and a much reduced spring/summer dress from Toast. At the same time I took quite a few things to a Charity shop.

I paid a deposit for a special mind of holiday, butI won’t know for a few days whether I have got a place or not.

Today I went and bought a sandwich toaster. I'm a bit bored with just having crackers and cheese for lunch. A toastie will fill the gap nicely. I also bought a pair of warm-lined leggings to wear under trousers. I hope they will keep my legs cosy as I have peripheral neuropathy which makes them constantly cold. Were these purchases 'treats'? Maybe not the leggings which are more like a necessity, but the toaster certainly is a treat.

No unless you count a new metal hose for my shower.

Wow! That’s a blast from the past. That’s exactly like the one my mother had. I was given a pottery yarn bowl for Christmas and as someone said, it’s better suited to a ball of wool than the skeins that we commonly buy now, but a bit of judicious rewinding and it works perfectly well.

Yes, a Mac lipstick in Brick O La. I was visiting DD, and we had an afternoon at the shopping mall thinking there would be some good January sales. Nothing really caught my eye, so I treated myself to a new lippy.

Yes, I bought 2 new pillows today. Been needing them for ages but hadn’t had a chance to get to the shop. I don’t buy pillows online as I need to ‘squish’ them before deciding.

2 new laundry baskets,under the bed plastic box , handbag in the sale £17.85. ,new iron and milk pan. They are things I need .

Regarding the yarn holder I have a few of those. I also have a large collection of knitting needle gauges most of which are in the shape of a bell. All yarn manufacturers supplied them.

These two are a bit different and are by Viyella. I love the one with the children on.
