Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken up to a dark and what appears to a cloudy but cold start to the day .
Today usual go out on the bus return home and do fish or scampi & chips in the air fryer for a change with a tin of mushy peas .
Saw some friends have not seen to talk to for a few weeks yesterday but the weather I feel is taking its toll on peoples movements .
Take Care,
Mick
Marydoll I’m sorry your appointment has been cancelled.I hope you manage to speak to someone about your new medication💐
Thinking of all with sadness💐
Good morning everyone from what looks to be a dry but chilly day here on the east coast of Fife. Me I’m still tucked into my cosy bed
I’m off out to do my shopping this afternoon, thankfully I’ve a pair of furry lined trousers ready to put on so I’ll be warm enough when I pick up the money raised from selling my old 45s found in the loft which I took to my local auction house I was hoping for more however I’ve still got more LP records stashed somewhere. Must check for more things in the loft giving it a real tidy up, the photo I’ve posted was after the tidy up I had last year.
Have a good all keep warm and safe💐💐
Morning all
I managed to empty the ironing basket yesterday yippee. Reassuring news after eye check the AMD is at the moment not deteriorating.
Off to the gym this morning, first time since before Christmas, I will be aching tomorrow. My ears have finally equalised, head cold seems to be on the wain.
Well done to the talented budding ballet stars. Maw (((hugs))) for your friend’s funeral.
Have a good day folks 🙋♀️👋
Good morning from Shropshire where it’s dry and cold.
I have my first tap dancing class this morning followed by lunch out in town with DH.Then over the border to collect the children from school and bring them back here for a sleepover.
I had trouble with my teeth after biting into a florentine a couple of weeks ago karma.I hope you get your tooth sorted.
Commiserations on the milk Pantglas🤮not the best start to the day.
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
Good morning everyone from a dry but chilly south Manchester. I’ve booked a hair appointment for a cut and blow and then will cross over the road to the MacMillan Centre for my penultimate complimentary reflexology session.
On the way home I shall pop into our larder and buy some white flowers. Our neighbour’s husband died recently in the hospice. I will knock on and give her a hug. It is beyond sad.
Here’s Matt.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where its 4°C, I have had little sleep, due to pain. I should have had a rheumatology appointment today, but it has been cancelled, yet again, 😭
I can procrastinate no longer, I will need to phone and discuss the new biologics. I have had such unpleasant experiences with the other two, I am dreading the side effects.
Yesterday I was all set to enjoy my empty, when DH appeared back. The dentist was off sick. I don't know, which one of us was more annoyed.
I had an accident the evening before with a plate of chilli and rice. It was all over the floor, wall, units, white goods etc.😱
A deep clean was needed and I didn't want DH interfering!
An unexpected little visitor, Babydoll, appeared at our house yesterday. DIL was preparing a presentation and needed peace and quiet, so DS came for lunch. We had a delightful afternoon with such a happy little person.
Off out to pick up a prescription, I forgot to order my prophylactic antibiotics, which I am on for life. They help dampen down any lung infections and I cannot be without them.
I also need to tackle the paper work today, which didn't get done yesterday.
Good luck with all the appointments today and enjoy the ballet, Grandmabatty.
Have a good day, folks.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. We won’t see the sun again today it seems. Yesterday was horrid. I decided to go out with the walking group and set off at my usual time but a snakes wedding of local roadworks and a police roadblock meant that I hadn’t gone a mile by the time the group was due due to leave, so I gave up on the idea and did a solo walk in one of our local parks before going over to DDs for lunch. Seeing her and GS, who is on study leave, cheered up a cold wet day. DS phoned for a chat in the afternoon from the train that was bringing him back from Norwich to York. Today I have a volunteering stint at the school and will walk there and back for the exercise before being holed up for the rest of the day.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Not yet light.
Work in the shop this morning. I hope I'll be able to sit down as an hour with the osteopath yesterday has made me rather tender. And I was at yoga too.
I hate that pantglas and keep oatmilk in reserve.
Your dad's saying is so true Rosiesmaw
I had to pass on bad news yesterday and one lady is certainly no age .
Have the best day you can everyone.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire. No frost or snow and not too cold either.
After yesterday’s busy day (including meeting someone we had shared a house with nearly fifty years ago - he was the entertainment at the U3A post-Christmas lunch) I think today will be quiet. I have ironing to do, WI admin and a bit of dusting. I might make a Barmbrack too.
Have a good day everyone. Spring really is just around the corner!💐
Good morning from a still dark and cold Suffolk.
I’m spending the day with the dear friend with whom I went to India in October so a good catch up is on the cards. We are meeting in Ipswich which is about equidistant for both of us and luckily our trains, from totally different directions, arrive at the station within 5 minutes of each other.
A walk in the park with a visit to the very interesting museum there housed in a mansion and then a late lunch in what is regarded as the best fish restaurant. I’m so glad I bought both thermal vests and leggings before this cold spell.
Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s still dark but apparently 5degrees.
Off to host the charity parent group. I hope I have enough stamina. We have someone coming to talk about teenage mental health .
Then it’s lunch with a friend.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all - grey, dark, looks cold. Feels cold too.
I bought myself one of these in M& S yesterday and am contemplating being sewn into it until March.
I have a funeral to go to today of a friend and neighbour from the village, mother of two of the Ds’ friends and a member of our Thursday group. I don’t expect it to be uplifting , she was only in her early 70’s, so very close to home. My father used to come up with this sentence when anybody his age or younger died and I find myself repeating it -“She was no age”.
Wishing you a pleasant day with special thoughts for all in distress or pain.
Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. DH wants to go to Lidl this morning and then we are at DD2 house where the GC will be looking after us until mum gets home. They are quite chatty at present, not sure DGD2 isn’t turning into a gossip, they are good fun.
Birthdays, teeth, boilers and dancing quite a day for everyone.
Good morning from an overcast, cold Cornwall where I've just heard that my granddaughter is coming for the day, as she is not well. Nothing major, but she's been up for most of the night. I can make her cosy here and provide lots of tlc.
Lovely sociable day yesterday; my daughter-in-law spoilt me rotten and treated me to lunch. My son was half asleep over breakfast because he'd had an early night! 🤔😄 It was good to see him ready for work again with his camera and tripod, even if accompanied by a limp!
Good morning from a still very dark Sefton. Seems to be very thick cloud cover. Dry & cold.
Have had a good nights sleep after a very busy day yesterday.... Zumba first thing, opticians to have my glasses straightened after an altercation with the shower screen, pharmacy for my prescription, various local shops for bits of this & bobs of that, coffee & pause to draw breath, sort & put on a load of washing (ignore ironing), clean bathroom, admin - at least that was done sitting down then out to the pub for tea. Another no cooking day 😀 A slower day today, zoom exercise class then a visit to Tesco's. Will spend the rest of the day with a book and/or my cross stitch.
Lovely to hear about talented grandchildren. Mine are too young to have any clue which direction life may take them.
Have a good day all.
Geandmabatty, hope you have a great day. I loved Cinders when we saw it on Hogmanay.
Good morning from a dark Colchester. We had some evening and overnight rain so it doesn't feel as cold as the last few days. Cloud but no rain forecast.
DH is out for a couple of hours today so I'll walk into the City for a mooch around the shops. There might be some sale bargains left.
Love to all 🦩 x
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 0° and dry. No sign of frost. Karma I hope your tooth can be saved. Pantsglas enjoy your lunch.
Yesterday the right new doors were fitted so all is well. I began a small cross stitch in the afternoon.
Today I have a chiropodist appointment. Then I'm heading to the local garden centre to pick up a gift. Later I'm going to Edinburgh with a dear friend to see Cinders by Scottish Ballet at the Festival Theatre. Afterwards we will have fish and chips at my house before he drives home. Neither of us are fans of driving at night. I'm looking forward to it all. Have a good day all.
Good morning everyone from a dark and cold Inverness, only about -2º
It’ll be a long day Bellasnana but enjoy and a Happy Birthday to your Sil
I’ve got a volunteering session this morning but it’s on zoom so I don’t need to go out. I might go to the gym later but will see.
Hope you get your tooth sorted ok karma
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning all from a very cold North Leicestershire.
We are going to look at plans for a new Parish Council Office today. What we really need is more parking to enable all the people living in the peripheral new estates to use the village rather than driving into town.
I need to go to the butcher's, baker's and Waitrose too.
Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire.
Off to childmind today, not sure whether to take them out after picking up the eldest from school at lunchtime. Will depend on what the weather does.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from a cloudy, less cold Torbay.
Thank you for all the lovely comments yesterday regarding my dancing DGD’s success. She loved her experience with English Youth Ballet in 2022 so I’m sure it will be as beneficial this time. Your DGS is doing splendidly, RosiesMaw, to be dancing with Birmingham Royal Ballet! What an honour!
Back to reality: Lidl and Asda shop this morning!
Have a good weekend, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Good morning from Malta where it is raining and 15°C.
The boys have had their porridge and I’ve just dressed them. They have enjoyed looking out the window at the rain as they don’t get to see it very often!
Today is their daddy’s birthday so I shall be babysitting tonight as well since DD3 has planned a surprise celebration for him. He’s a lovely son in law, so respectful of his parents and me as well as being a supportive husband and loving father.
Sorry about your milk Pantglas, it’s horrible when that happens.
Hope you all have a good day. Can’t believe it’s Friday already.☀️
Morning Mick, morning All. From what I can see there are clouds over our corner of Somerset and less wind. Very cold still.
Decent day yesterday. Tasks accomplished lunch was enjoyed in our little garden centre before a foray to the large one in search of a garden planter. A bargain found along with some just in flower potted Jasmine I couldn’t resist for the bathroom window ledge. We also watched and enjoyed Grantchester grandmattie.
Volunteering this morning which will be fun. This afternoon I’ll try to get sorted ready for tomorrows day visit from my cousin and her husband. I’m not used to entertaining now and do feel a slight panic lurking as they are both so organised. It will be good to catch up - once I’ve calmed down.
Good luck with the tooth karma snd milk replenishment pantglas, I’d be more than grumpy without my morning cuppa or three.
Stay warm everyone, hope Friday is kind to us all.
😣 not such a good morning in PG Towers as the milk has turned and it’s ruined a good chamberpot so I’m off to a poor start already…!
We’ve also joined the dodgy CH club, grandMattie and Taichinan! I’m under instructions from our dishy plumber 🧑🔧 to monitor its misbehaviour over the next week when pocket emptying decisions will need to be made 🤬. Mr PG says I shouldn’t complain as it’s almost 15 years old and we’ve not had a single issue since installation!
However…a lunch at the Deganwy Quay with a recently retired friend beckons then pop to Lidl on the way home for basics (including 🥛….)
May all have something good to look forward to this weekend- some sun 🌞, something to make you smile - or at least, no ❄️!
