Help .......

I am trying to find the correct expression and no amount of googling has helped me.

Does anyone know the correct expression she knew someone had died before they knew themselves. or words to that effect.
Obviously its said in a jokey sense.

I've seen it somewhere and can't remember the correct wording.

Its referring to someone who is very nosey and interfering in others lives, who knows someone's business before it occurs.
