Do you find mobility scooters a nuisance?

I wonder how many drivers of mobility scooters know what the legal speed limit when using them on pavements is?

She had loads of space wide path plus flat grass verges each side of the path, so no need to overtake inches away from us.
A narrow escape.

Most are fine in charge of them but not all. I do wonder if a test should be taken the same as a driving test...they are motorised after all. I also think that lights/something reflective should be maditory on the rear of them. I was driving along a road shaded by trees once and suddenly found one right in front of me. I had to break...it could not be seen in the shadow.

I think we should all take lessons from 'Madge' out of 'Benidorm'.

I never see them where I live in France. So strange. Do any
of the other French residents see them in their areas?

Some of them do seem to be “entitled” and think everyone should move for them, also it is easy to walk into then if you’re not concentrating.
The most extreme use I’ve seen is an elderly man wearing an oxygen mask with his cylinder strapped on behind, driving diagonally across a major junction.

That takes independance too far IMO.

A man near here drives a big scooter, usually on the road legally, but often on the wrong side of the road or far too fast on the pavement. He crosses a side road without looking, shouts at anyone in his way: in short, he is a menace.
So he and others like him may make people very wary of all scooter users.
