I’m falling to bits too Grannmarie! I’ve just found a chiropodist to visit and tackle an ingrowing toenail, I’d been putting it off. Just you watch when your on that patio, don’t wear daft shoes like me, your evening out sounds like thoroughly good entertainment.

Hi folks, I have just got back from what felt like an arduous shopping trip with DD and the GSs. Lakeside for school shoes and lunch, then Smyth’s Toy Shop to spend birthday and remains of Christmas vouchers and finally Aldi for their weekly food shop.

I am now collapsed in my favourite chair with a nice cup of tea.

I saw Rob Brydon before Covid kn his one man show, thoroughly enjoyed it, what a versatile and funny man he is.

Soop I hope you are resting and that your recovery will be speedy so that you can get back to us soon 😘

YiaYia, imagine seeing your home on 📺, that sounds so exciting! BBC Scotland hired our Church Hall and car park when they were filming an episode of Vigil in a nearby tower block. It was almost unrecognisable in the actual episode!

Grandmabatty, I'm glad you're getting the chance of a wee siesta with your DGS2. 😴😴 I used to love a snooze with The Wee Boy when DH and I helped with his childcare. We had an early start, like you, an hour's drive on a busy motorway, so when lunchtime came I was desperate for a nap!

Jaxjacky, good luck with your physio. I'm impressed with your GP Practice, that was a quick appointment. When I damaged my meniscus ( I didn't know I had one!🤣last spring, I waited a few weeks for a physio consultation. I then had 3 face to face sessions, exercises to do at home and in the local pool, then a telephone consultation to conclude. It improved gradually but the GP had warned me that it would take months to heal.

Cornergran, I'm sorry to hear about your sore arm. It sounds quite painful and limiting. I hope your GP can help. When I hurt my shoulder/arm, I was lucky to get 6 sessions with the in house Massage Therapist at our Practice, it helped immensely.

brook, we enjoyed the show very much, thanks. I had no idea how versatile Rob Brydon is, but he entertained a full house in the Festival Theatre with an evening of songs, stories and a lot of audience interaction. He had an 8 piece band, all incredible musicians, and at one point R.B. was conducting the whole audience in a chorus of Delilah!🤣🎵🎶

I'm catching up on housework and washing now, after being out and about quite a bit lately. Hoping toget into the garden later...well, out on the patio...DS3 is having a new driveway laid so I rescued some of the snowdrops, tulips and muscari from his borders. I'm going to pot them up, some for DDs iL, some for myself.

I'm sorry to hear that Soop is unwell. Thank you Baggs for letting us know. I wish Soop and all others well. Currently dgs2 is eating fish fingers while watching Super Mario. He's a happy wee boy today. Shortly he'll go for a nap as will I after a bad night. Take care all

Good morning, Kitcheners All! soop has asked me to let you know that she is unwell but will return to the Soop Kitchen as soon as she can.

Morning! That’s hard GG13. When something is in your mind, it’s hard to think of anything else.
Today I start packing ready for departure on Sunday. I have a check list on the computer, which I shall print off - it’s all part of the holiday!
Have a good day - hopefully a dry one.

DD and her boys have gone home, her godmother popped in to see us earlier before DD arrived with some very worrying news, which she doesn’t want shared.

We all smiled and played with the GS’s but I cannot shake off what I now know.

Hi kitchen pals, it’s been a lovely day here in Inverness, we even sat outside with a cuppa and enjoyed some sunshine. I’m another impatient gardener - everything is so slow to get going up here, except the weeds of course. Ive been outside doing winter tidying up most of the day and enjoyed the fresh air. Think the garden bin collections start again soon so I must check the dates

Evening Kitcheners. I've met a friend for a coffee and cake then been lazy this afternoon. I'm having stomach aches which are concerning me, so I'll probably contact the doctor soon. A chicken casserole is in the slow cooker with dumplings too. I'll give the floors a clean after dinner and that's it for tonight. Enjoy your evening Kitcheners

Hi all, dry here today after heavy rain overnight, kneegate negates much news, but MrJ noticed a massive bruise from mid calf to bum on the back of my leg. We’d been looking at the knee, will try for GP tomorrow, he’s at meat draw now.
What a smashing get together Nannytopsy well done on the lunch.

It’s so wet corner! I’m glad you have a flood plain! We are on a gentle hill and watch a stream appear from nowhere and race down the road whenever we get heavy rain. I know what you mean about the garden - I am impatient too.
We have had DS, DIL, and 4 assorted step, great and ordinary GC to lunch, which was delicious! (She said modestly!) It was a good piece of beef, so I must give credit to the farmer and the butcher. It’s lovely to have the toddler racing around but they are all very loud! We live very quietly normally.

Hello everyone. Just had a read through, you’re a busy bunch.

Not a lot happening here that isn’t routine. I’m impatient to get out into the garden. We’re low lying and our clay soil is far too soggy on the rare occasions it stops raining to do anything other than prune the roses which I enjoyed last week. We did manage a stroll in a relatively dry patch this morning. Our little river is running so fast and is the highest we’ve seen it. The flood plain on the other bank is thankfully doing its stuff and has attracted a heron.

That’s a beautiful beach brook. As there’s not sustained progress maybe get that knee checked if you can jax, no harm in it. I’ve had a very sore arm this week, on Thursday a whole heap of bruises appeared and it stopped being sore. We can only think delayed outcome from my tumble the week before. We certainly don’t bounce as we mature.

Grannygravy I very much enjoyed the sirloin steak and air fryer chips with mushrooms. I'm having a red wine now. Brook Nairn beach is beautiful. Jaxjacky be patient! It's not a virtue I possess to be honest.
