WELCOME! The buffet is ready and there is coffee, tea and wine for the sharing of. Make yourselves comfortable. I shall now have my lunch and join you later.

I agree with Urms. Not having the name Soop in the title makes me think I am on the wrong thread.
Next time back to the familiar please
Evening kitcheners, I’m another infrequent visitor but I’m popping in to say hello and send love to Baggs, Urms, Suedonim, Kalu and all who are struggling for whatever reason. X
Pleased to read your news sued. There’s definite light in the darkness. My love to you all and also to Baggs and her family. Those mice are just the thing to keep close, I’m so pleased you found them.
Good to see you back neine.
Carried on with some sorting this morning, another bin bag to leave the building. Mr C was tired after lunch so headed for a nap, he was still asleep when our granddaughters arrived to eat with us. It was wonderful to have that special time with them. It’s always different with no parents around. The elder went off to meet her boy friend leaving us with the pleasure of her sisters company until her Dad could get to us to whisk her away for the weekend. Amazing to see all three. They have hectic lives.
Busy one for me tomorrow. Volunteering in the morning and Tai Chi in the afternoon. Both very enjoyable
Time for sleep now. Goodnight everyone.
Urms, When I realised that I had not included my name in the title of the new kitchen, I could not, for the life of me, discover a way to do so.
You and your darling husband are foremost in our thoughts.
baubles Welcome back, lovely lady.
Dear Gransnet, is it possible for you to include Soop's to the title of this forum? Thank you in anticipation.
The knee is slowly getting there, stick is invaluable, I slept well last night. I’m now getting bored, how much we take for granted when we’re able.
Daughter came in to sort delivered shopping as MrJ had to go out.
Jax Knee replacement surgery takes some time to heal. If you can sleep soundly, you will feel better able to cope with your recovery.
It is true that we take our ability to dash around very much for granted (when our bodies are in peak condition). We helped to build our last two homes. Now, I can barely walk to the end of our drive. I feel frustrated, yet count my blessings, as without Mr Soop I would be in dire straights.
Good afternoon, Soop and lovely Kitchen people. 🥰
Hello 👋 Baggs, what a lovely idea, to continue and complete your dear girl's crochet blanket. Teamwork 💕
SueD, I'm delighted to hear your son's latest news, very hopeful.
Neine, good to see you in the kitchen, take care.
Jaxjacky so sorry to hear about your knee injury. Painful and limiting, I can sympathise. Take it easy.
Ladyleftfieldlover, your lantern is stunning. I love stained glass artwork. My sister's previous house had a circular stained glass window with a sea scene, beautiful.
Grandmabatty, your lemon looks luscious, I love how it catches the light. I hope you are feeling a bit better today.
Brook, like you I'm missing Blossoming and hoping that she is OK.
👋 Hello, Baubles, good to see you in the kitchen.
Urms, thinking of you and Himself. One day at a time. 💐
Hoping that all is well with Annsixty and family.
Thinking of you all, especially those with illness, worries or sorrow. Wishing everyone a peaceful Friday evening and the best weekend that circumstances allow.
I'm meeting my sisters and friends for our Bookgroup night out, this time in a recommended Italian restaurant in a nearby village. We will be wining and dining and discussing The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, quite a change from our usual reads of historical fiction or tartan noir!
That’s much better news SueD.So pleased
for you all.🌹
Thinking of you Baggs.💐
Nice to see you back Niene, hope your o.k.
Hello Grandmarie,enjoy your night out.
Love your lemon Grandmabatty I think it would really look good in my lounge 😁
It’s seems the film crew are keen to use our apartment,If so it will be end of March, will be very interesting.
Have a pleasant evening everyone.
Thinking of you both Urms.
Good afternoon kitchen pals, even though I’ve not been working a long time I still look forward to a Friday evening
I’ve been out most of the day, the gym first for the circuits class - it’s like strength building, followed by the aqua Zumba which is always good for a laugh. A quick dip in the jacuzzi then across the car park with my pal for coffee and a catch up most of the afternoon. No time for cooking today so I bought a Tesco finest Lasagne that’s now in the oven bubbling away and the wine is chilled
Enjoy your evening out grannmarie the Italian restaurant sounds just perfect. I’m not that much of a reader myself but I hope you enjoy the discussion
Jax hopefully it won’t be too long before your knee is better and you’re back out for your walks again
Exciting Yia - keep us posted! 😀
Thanks, brook and YiaYia, I'm looking forward to it.
And pub brook 🙂
That is exciting Yia do you have any more information, or are you sworn to secrecy?
MrJ has just been to the pub and is cooking, three days on the trot, with instruction!
The knee is nothing really.
My thoughts are with Urms and Baggs.
I’m also missing Blossoming
soop

Thank you on the name change I hope it wasn’t too much bother
Great to see the familiar title again, (Soop back where she belongs)!
My DH had another injection at the eye clinic yesterday, outside there were celebrations for a gentleman having his 100th. !
At 87 he had cycled, (presume over a period of time?), 100 miles on a variety of vintage cycles to raise money for the hospital. Well done him!
Warm thoughts for you all, especially those with extra worries & troubles. x
You lovely lot are the BEST. Title of forum restored. A group hug to say thank you.
Hello kitchen people and especially Soop!
I’m not having the day I planned. I was supposed to be meeting my friend who has difficulty in restaurants. However, I didn’t feel too well in the night with a dreadful cough and feeling hot. I cancelled lunch and have spent most of the day on the sofa. OH is cooking bangers and mash for dinner.
My brother in Australia is recovering from his heart surgery. It seems that all went well. Still no sign of his imminently expected granddaughter,
Have a good evening.
Afternoon kitcheners. Ladyleftfieldlover I'm sorry that you are feeling rotten. I hope a good rest will see you better. Yiayia that's very exciting. Jaxjacky I hope your knee is improving. Take it easy though. Brook I am in awe at your exercise regime. Grannmarie I hope you had a lovely evening. Soop restored to where you should be! Thank you Urmston for realising the omission.
Neine thoughts are with you and with Blossoming.
Today I had breakfast with a friend where we put the world to rights. I've been to Aldi and done most of the housework. A quick hoover is all that's needed. I've also sorted out all the dvds and CDs and they are ready for the charity shop tomorrow. As a treat to myself, I'm having steak and chips for dinner with red wine sauce. I'm hopeful that my mojo is returning. Enjoy your day
I’m just having a sit down while I wait for chocolate custard to cool, so that I can assemble a Black Forest trifle for tomorrow’s family lunch. It was requested but sadly will be alcohol free because of the children.
The trouble with having a little sit down, is getting moving again!
Hello Kitchener’s, we are off to pick up two of our GC (6 & 4) and take them to their favourite Turkish restaurant whilst our son and wife go out to dinner with the other grandparents.
Then it’s getting them ready for bed which can be a long process with these two…
Sorry you are feeling off colour Ladyleftfieldlover , I hope your brother continues to recover well.
Enjoy your steak & chips Grandmabatty
Good afternoon kitchen pals.
Sorry you had to cancel your lunch out llfl, hope you feel a bit better soon
I’ve had a really enjoyable day, just simple pleasures. A lovely walk along the beach at Nairn this morning and gardening this afternoon. There were some very brave people taking a dip in the sea, apparently there’s a regular turnout on a Saturday morning. I really admire anyone who can just run out into the cold sea, it’s definitely not for me but it must be exhilarating. We got a couple of take away coffees and just sat on a bench looking out to sea, it was just so calming. Then home for a quick lunch and out into the garden taking advantage of the brief dry spell before the rain comes in again
Sounds like a good productive day grandmabatty enjoy your dinner this evening and you find that missing mojo
Hoping all is ok with your DH gillgran after his eye injection yesterday
