Good morning all from a grey but dry North Leicestershire.

Bits and bobs of shopping to do this morning - butcher's, flower shop, Waitrose, M&S food, chemist.

DH's colonoscopy went well yesterday - polyp samples taken for biopsy but the Doctor thought they were benign.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all and it’s dark and damp here in Essex.

Yesterday was horrible, weatherwise but after bowls, I snuggled down and spent the afternoon crocheting and doing some mosaic.

Today I’ll take little DGD to school as DD has a hospital appointment at 9.30 to get the results of her MRI 🙏.
Later we’ll meet our Friday friends.

Ash hope you feel better soon.
Happy holidays Bonnybanks.
Bellasnanna enjoy carnival weekend with your lovely boys.
👬.
Mizuna you look very organised . Your gs will have a great time .

Take care all 🌷

Good morning from a dark, damp Colchester. Rain and 12° forecast. It rained all day yesterday so I got loads done indoors.
DH is off to the funeral of a fishing friend so I'll have a quiet day. Steak and chips tonight.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. Yesterday’s cold and snowy weather has given way to yet more wind and rain.

Good to hear that your health is improving Mick.

Hope you feel better soon Ash

We will be celebrating Chinese Nee Year’s Eve today with DS and family. My co grandmother who is visiting for a while will be cooking.

Safe trip Bonnybanko, I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Good to hear your health is improving Mick. Damp in South Yorkshire but a blessed relief from the snow we had yesterday which closed the schools and brought traffic to a halt. Hardly a sign of it this morning. It was very pretty though!
Chiropodist is coming this morning and then volunteering this afternoon.
Enjoy your holiday Bonnybanko.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a breezy wet NE.
We had heavy rain with some snow flakes yesterday but it didn't lie.
I put my back out yesterday, goodness knows how but it was very painful. Took my long hot water bottle to bed as it is the length of my spine and comforting.
Sorry to hear you are poorly Ashcombe, hope it passes quickly, there are a lot of nasty viruses around at present.
Have a great holiday * Bonnybanko*, I know how excited you will be, I haven't been abroad for eight years since my surgery.
Thoughts are with poorly people and their carers.

Mizuna Fri 09-Feb-24 06:53:52

Good morning from Cornwall where it's raining slightly, but very mild. Lovely time yesterday starting to sort my underground workroom: all wood and concrete stacked (boring pic attached 😄), next phase is get my tools in order. My aim is to have it organised by the Easter hols so that my six-year-old grandson can come and be freely creative. His dad has taught him to use tools safely so I shall enjoy watching him potter.

Today I have some paperwork to complete regarding housing benefit so I'll take the forms to Wetherspoons and complete them by the log fire there.

🌹 for all poorlies.

Bellasnana Fri 09-Feb-24 06:44:41

Good morning from Malta where it is due to reach 20°C today.

So sorry you are poorly Ashcombe, it’s so miserable being ill in the night especially when on one’s own. Hope you’ll feel better soon.💐

Bon voyage Bonnybanko, I’m sure you are going to enjoy every minute.

I’m with the boys as usual, Friday seems to come around so quickly, they are as sweet as ever and no trouble at all.

We have Carnival weekend coming up here so I have a long weekend as schools are out until Weds. I have a long to do list but whether or not it gets done remains to be seen.

Wishing you all the best day possible. Take care everyone.☀️

Good morning all from another damp day in north Wales- we seem to be making sure there are no hosepipe bans this summer 🤨

Mixed blessings health wise here at PG Towers in that Mr PG cyst removal is healing nicely so Cinders and Prince Charming shall go on their cruise next week but my dad is still awaiting results of scans and tests….🙏. Don’t we all seem to be tenterhooks with these dratted things🤬

Tenerife, Bonnybanko! Must be 30 years since we were there but will be joining you for a fleeting visit soon 🍹

A friend’s coming over for my Thai Green curry later so a little light relief to take the dumps away - hope you all have something similar sometime over the weekend peeps 🌞

Morning Mick, morning All from a miraculously dry corner of Somerset. Rain due later, just in case we were missing it.

Enjoyable coffee and chat yesterday morning, a trouble free meeting in the afternoon with an almost positive call from our goddaughter in the evening. Decent day for sure.

A fairly gentle day ahead with routine faffing this morning and tai chi this afternoon where I’ll be careful to moderate movement as my body is still pretty sore in places from Tuesdays tumble.

Good health news mick. Get better soon ash. That’s so hard to manage susan, please take it easy if you can. Happy holiday bonnybanko, safe landing.

Hope Friday is kind to us all.

karmalady Fri 09-Feb-24 06:26:17

Good morning, still raining in s somerset, not nice

Hope you feel beter soon Ash. I did not sleep well last night, I am so sensitive to noise, rain was bashing on the windows intermittently

Optician this morning and thanks for your input Marydoll. I will have to get the tailor made varifocals, my prescription is complicated. I only get one pair of specs and use the rnib over -specs sunglasses as they block all UVs.

I cut out softshell for my new coat, it took all morning andI will start slow sewing tomorrow. Using the bus for my trip today, lunch when I get back and then nothing bar a bit of cleaning and lots of reading

Have a good day

Good morning from Shropshire. It’s still raining.

I was awoken at 2.30 by a phone call from my mum.She had no idea why it was dark, she was up with the television on.She also thought she had had people in the house doing work.I literally had to explain that night followed day and that it was now the middle of the night.I have no idea what to do as otherwise she copes.

Today should have been tap class followed by lunch out but I think a quiet day would be better as we have a busy week ahead.

Good news about your health Mick.Hope you feel better as the day progresses Ash.

Happy holidays Bonnybanko.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a dark and windy, down South.Sorry to hear of peoples' health problems, and about your sister GrandMattie.

I am still waiting for a couple of life events to happen. 1 just hasnt happened yet and the other got postponed for a week.
So I am sort of twiddling my thumbs. I do have stuff to do, but dont want to start anything big.

grandMattie Fri 09-Feb-24 05:56:48

Good morning from a mild, soggy Bristol.
Glad your health is improving, Mick. Oh dear, Ash, I’m so sorry.
I’ve just hear from my younger sister that my elder sister’s funeral will take place on Tuesday in Perth, W Australia. It will be live-streamed.
We had a lovely evening at DD’s. Because ERNIE was so generous, we had a takeaway curry. I was astonished how, all of a sudden, the girls are being more adventurous with their food. They used to be so fussy that I would refuse to prepare anything for them, leaving their mother to sort it out.
Today, Spanish - a lady from church is giving me a lift, she does a different course. I normally enjoy the 30 minute walk, but it’s unpleasant the rain.
Carpe diem, dear virtual friends. 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Bonnybanko Fri 09-Feb-24 05:51:05

Good morning my friends
It’s very windy and frosty out there today here on the east coast of Fife,
I’m not really bothered because I’m off to Tenerife today I’m so looking forward to being back . I’ve not flown for nearly six years , however I’m so excited I’ve been awake for hrs

Have a good day and remember to keep safe

RosesandLilac Fri 09-Feb-24 05:46:47

Good morning Mick, it’s good to hear that your health continues to improve. It’s lovely seeing signs of spring isn’t it?
Yesterday was horrible, heavy rain, low cloud and gloomy here in south Glos.
I went to stitch club in the afternoon, so nice to have a chat with friends.
I’ve been awake since midnight, goodness knows why 😵‍💫🙄, I have a painful shoulder but the painkillers are working.
I’m supposed to be meeting my sister for coffee but I think I will phone her and rearrange as really don’t feel like going out.
A dozy day ahead I guess…..
Have a lovely day 🌹

Ashcombe Fri 09-Feb-24 05:44:30

Good morning from a breezy Torbay after a wet night.

Glad to hear your health is continuing to improve, Mick.

I've had a poor night due to a gastric upset which began just as I got into bed. I shall have to cancel the boiler service booked for this morning and my Front of House duty tonight..

I hope everyone else is well. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and its raining here in brackley this morning .
I hopefully will do my usual routine , but for lunch will do Fish & Chips in the air fryer .
Mind you going out wise places are quiet , the cafe I use and the supermarket seem to be low in numbers and the streets seem quite both in brackley and bicester .
Mind you with the days getting lighter ,and signs of spring about with daffs starting to show as well .
Health wise , I will stop taking the Leopardine capsules as i seem to be normal in that area , and weight wise its putting it on gradually .
Take Care,
Mick
