Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark with signs of overnight rain here in brackley at the moment .
I expect to receive my new air fryer today , the fan on the previous one burnt itself out as when I tried to switch on nothing happened.
I am also having allot of redness in my wee , which could be caused by cancer, beer or food item or medication if I read it right .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dryish Bristol.
Before I went to the church coffee, I started to sort out the final pieces of furniture; the unwanted ones went into the communal hallway for late4 disposal. I have offered it to DD’s SisIL but haven’t heard anything yet. Pictures have now all gone up and my Costa Rican lizards are Blutaked to the wall.
Nothing much else.
Today, a bit of sewing after church. Waiting to plan Monday when I hear from IKEA for Monday’s deliver time.
May Sunday bring you nothing but peace and contentment. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Mizuna Sun 11-Feb-24 06:21:40

Good morning from Cornwall where sun is promised today. I'm deciding whether to go to a community group in another town in a deprived but very friendly area, especially for remaking things from textiles, right up my street. Sewing machines provided, plus a free lunch.

New chair arrived and somehow I lugged it up the stairs. Here it is in situe. Watched Poirot for two hours afterwards to recover. 😁

Hope you get checked by a doctor soon Mick.

karmalady Sun 11-Feb-24 06:31:20

Good morning, raining again in s somerset

Mick, beetroot?

Yesterday ended up as an ad hoc evolving day, it started with emptying a large, tall kitchen cupboard. De cluttered etc and the mess spread. The day was long and finished on a high. Very tidy and sorted now, lovely to come down to

If I had not done it, I would never have seen the loose u bend, which I fixed. Yes, de cluttering is going well but I need to be in the mood and the mood came out of the blue

Relaxing today, sunday radio and whatever I feel like doing

Have a good day

Ashcombe Sun 11-Feb-24 06:39:33

Good morning from a dry Torbay after yesterday’s sunshine and showers.

I echo Mizuna’s advice regarding seeking medical advice, Mick, although food could be a factor, as karmalady suggests.
It must be such a relief that you’re approaching the final hurdle in settling into your home at last, grandMattie!
Your living room looks welcoming and the new chair fits in perfectly, Mizuna.

Today I’m the accompanist again for the first service at church so must get organised early as it starts at 9.30 a.m. Luckily, the church is just across the road from my home!

Wishing everyone a blessed Sunday. 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Bellasnana Sun 11-Feb-24 06:57:14

Good morning from Malta where the weather is expected to be overcast with a high of 16°C.

The boys enjoyed the Carnival yesterday and looked very cute in their fox and squirrel costumes!

I had a long FaceTime with my lovely granddaughter Arabella who lives in Florida. Bless her, she had been to the dermatologist and had two warts on her hands sliced off and cauterised which looked gruesome. DD2 said she was extremely brave but cried when she got in the car as the trauma of it caught up with her. She seemed fine when I spoke to her, can’t believe she will be thirteen in a few weeks.

I’m going to Mass this morning after which I hope to summon up some of karmalady’s motivation to declutter the spare room. I made a start yesterday but ended up making more of a mess than I started with.

Wishing you all a good day,☀️

baubles Sun 11-Feb-24 06:59:05

Good morning from foggy South Lanarkshire.

I’m sitting upright in bed having taken my weekly medication.

Not a lot happening today, just the usual Sunday routine of Mass then meet DH at the cafe for brunch. Probably a walk later.

Get well soon Urms.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Susan56 Sun 11-Feb-24 07:16:01

Good morning from Shropshire.A misty start to the day.

I too thought beetroot Mick.

We are off to Staffordshire today to see DD2 and family.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 11-Feb-24 07:18:27

Good morning Mick too dark to get up and look at the weather, but yesterday was sunny and very Spring like.
Please contact your GP Mick, unless you’ve been eating beetroot, we did once and all thought we had a problem until we realised we’d had boiled beetroot.

We made the decision yesterday that we will move, the house will go on the market in April, so not only do we (I) have to de clutter like mad but we have to accommodate MzOops ‘stuff’ as she is also moving and brought some crates with her for us to store.

Anyone interested in 30 crates of vintage crockery?
No, thought not. Charity shop here I come. It’s a bit chilly where they are stored so I need some sunny days as I will keep some of the nice cups, saucers and side plates. I use some on a daily basis anyway.

MzOops returning from London today and MissOops will bring the dog over for her weekly stayover so a couple of walks to be done later.
Made soup yesterday so everyone wants either macoroni cheese or cauliflower cheese with baked potatoes to go with it, so I will do both and let them choose.

Mitzuna what a lovely sitting room you have, love the chairs.

Hope Urms is feeling better today, months of stress have a nasty habit of making you unwell.

Marydoll I hope you feel better today as well

Have a good day everyone, hope all those who are under the weather soon feel better and that we all get another sunny day, I find it easier to be cheerful when the sun is shining.

Jaxjacky Sun 11-Feb-24 07:24:06

Morning, dry out I think.
Lovely chair Mizuna fits in just right.
Nearly there gMattie it’s been a long haul for you.
We enjoyed our duck and pancakes last night, it was an easy dinner for year of the dragon.
We’ve rain due later, I’ll toy with the crossword, get a walk in, rugby, then it’s meat draw.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 11-Feb-24 07:36:20

Morning all from West Oxfordshire,
Elder son, his partner and our granddaughter arrived late last night. They had been to a Military Tattoo in Birmingham.
I will get up soon. Granddaughter is an early riser and I think son is having an online Arabic lesson this morning.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

RosesandLilac Sun 11-Feb-24 07:44:23

Good morning, it’s damp here in south glow, it rained during the night. When I peeped out of the window at 2.40 a large fox was wandering along the pavement, setting off security lights as it went. We often hear vixens in the woods behind us, rarely see one unless it’s a road casualty.
Yesterday was housework, dog walks and not a lot else, today DH will do the early dog walk. I’m emptying the airing cupboard so he can paint it and everything will be ready for the boiler service tomorrow. The chimney sweep is coming tomorrow too, as is my lovely gardener neighbour so a busy day Monday.
Where will you be moving to Oopsadaisy? I’d love to move but DH refuses to even consider it so that’s that 🤷🏼‍♀️

luluaugust Sun 11-Feb-24 07:48:55

Good morning from a grey W Kent. Very little happening today but sorting and tidying. What a lovely room Mizuna. Interesting wall pieces gM
Mick do get checked out
All the best

cornergran Sun 11-Feb-24 07:57:12

Morning Mick, morning All from a disappointingly wet corner of Somerset. Should clear later.

Enjoyed a trip along the coast and a walk around an interesting marina yesterday. Stopped at a small beach on the way home. All accomplished in sunshine, such a treat.

Hope to sort the roses today when the rain clears, with luck remove some small weeds before they take hold. Mr C has a date with some scratches on the car. Not a happy man.

Unless you can identify a food link please seek advice mick, the GP or your nursing team. Best not to leave it. Nearly there grandmattie, what an achievement.

Thoughts go to everyone facing challenges. Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 11-Feb-24 08:04:57

Morning all 👋

My darling 8 yr old GS is 9 today, it feels like only yesterday when he was born. He is having a football party later ⚽️🎂🎉

It started raining here yesterday lunchtime and it hasn’t stopped yet ☔️☔️☔️

(((Hugs))) to all 🙋‍♀️

Pittcity Sun 11-Feb-24 08:11:24

Good morning from Colchester where we're forecast a dry but cloudy day.
Under 8s football has been cancelled because of a waterlogged pitch so we are at a loose end today.
Roast chicken to look forward to later.
Love to all 🦩 x

kittylester Sun 11-Feb-24 08:16:31

Good morning all from a misty North Leicestershire.

Not a lot happening here apart from roadt beef at about 5pm.

We heard yesterday that one of DH's older brother was taken to hospital last night from his Care Home so we will await an update from his daughter.

Sending love and hugs to everyone who needs them.

Grandmabatty Sun 11-Feb-24 08:17:56

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and misty. It's been raining too. Mick definitely get it checked out. Mizuna a lovely chair in a lovely room. Oops good luck clearing out. I found it therapeutic.
Yesterday was such a lovely day with dgs1. We had a lot of fun. He's the sweetest wee chap.
He's just up and has eaten a pancake with maple syrup. We are actually going out for breakfast later but he was adamant he needed a pancake and of course I obliged.
He's sitting in his den I created yesterday playing with his Nintendo switch and he thinks I don't know. I'll give him ten minutes then it'll be switched off! After he gets picked up, I'll tidy up and visit mum this afternoon. Have a good day all

Gingster Sun 11-Feb-24 08:20:36

Good morning and yes GG we’ve had a lot of rain here in Essex. The fields around are flooded and some of the roads too.

Today we have my db and SIL coming for coffee - we haven’t seen them since before Christmas, so it will be good to catch up.

Your sitting room looks so cosy Mizuna .
Happy birthday to your dgs GG. Hope he has a good party. 🥳.
I love your lizards GM.

Take care 🌷

NannyJan53 Sun 11-Feb-24 08:20:50

Good morning from a dull but dry (for now) Black Country.

Quiet day yesterday, just did housework, a chat to DS and MrJ sorted out the new TV. Goodness you need a degree in electronics these days!

Zumba at gym this morning, then I may pop over to Mums.
Do seek medical advice Mick if this persists.

Lovely cosy and welcoming living room Mizuna Wishing your DGD well Bellasnana

Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday

brook2704 Sun 11-Feb-24 08:21:24

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold at about -1º and frosty
I love your cosy lounge mizuna it looks really comfortable
I had a quick walk around the garden yesterday looking for signs of spring, there’s a few bulbs showing but not much else yet.
I’m looking forward to a face time call with DS this morning, lots of news to catch up on. Later DGS is coming for his regular Sunday sleepover so he’ll be bringing his favourite games and it’ll be an evening of board games to look forward to 🤦‍♀️
Lots of planning and sorting ahead with the move Oops you’ll be busy!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Georgesgran Sun 11-Feb-24 08:21:41

Good morning from Durham.
I think you know you must seek medical advice Mick and drop off a fresh sample at your Surgery tomorrow morning.
Someone is coming later to take away a shed load of stuff - can’t wait to get rid of it.
Best wishes to all. X

Greyduster Sun 11-Feb-24 08:23:03

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and cold in South Yorkshire today. Yesterday was dry and mild enough to put some laundry out and walk down to the supermarket. I spent yesterday making GS a lemon drizzle birthday cake. I have to out a few finishing touches to it this morning. He is 17 today and we are going out later this afternoon for a birthday meal. Where on earth does the time go?
Have the best day you can folks.

Sar53 Sun 11-Feb-24 08:24:29

Good morning from a dry, for now, Essex coast.
DH is off to rugby with his grandsons, I have a casserole to prepare, washing to do and lots of paperwork.
I received a picture of my youngest DGD yesterday minus her first tooth. She was beaming proudly at the camera. I hope the tooth fairy remembered her 🤣🤣.
I hope you all have a pleasant day, thinking of all those who need a hug xx

Marydoll Sun 11-Feb-24 08:25:41

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, its 3°C.

Mick, if you have not been eating beetroot, why not take a sample to the surgery for testing?
Also some medications can also affect the colour of your wee, it usually mentions it on the accompanying leaflet.

Mizuna, I suspected you would have a colourful and interesting sitting room!

I may stay in bed this morning. My chest is very congested and painful, I have had very little sleep. I blame a very cold church last night. It was warmer outside than in! The heating system has had numerous repairs in the last week, all to no avail.

Good luck with all the decluttering activities. I am making good progress, but it is very difficult to get rid of clothes, you like and think you will shrink in to! 😂 A lost cause.
I tried on a beautiful padded coat yesterday, ( DH was putting up new coat hooks, so an opportunity to scrutinise my coats) and the look on DH's face said That will never fit you again! 🤬

Have a good day folks and prayers for all who are in need of comfort and support.
